This tournament is meant not only to discern what's the most beloved queer vocaloid song, but also to share queer music to new people so we can all enjoy it to the fullest!

Do listen to all songs before voting! Unbiased opinions are fine, biased opinions are fine, but at least give all songs a chance!

THE BRACKETS

Yes, you read that correctly! Since there are a grand total of 152+ songs in this tournament among over 360 submissions (that's a lot!), the bracket has been divided into FIVE SUB-BRACKETS of 32 songs each. They will be revealed one by one, after the first round of each is done, and the resulting five songs will face off to see who the winner is!

Notes: aaaaaa my first request! i don’t really have a father figure so this was interesting to write ^_^ I hope you find this satisfactory.

Vox Akuma

100% the affectionate, but also embarrassing type of parent.

Gives his children hugs and kisses like, every few hours.

Posts about his kids on social media and will happily show their baby pictures if asked.

Would develop a slight filter (ie. no sex jokes).

Everything else is OK though which inevitably leads to them developing a potty mouth.

Especially if they’re playing games together.

Somehow manages to keep up with all those newfangled hobbies his kids are into and wholeheartedly supports them.

That said, he does slightly wish his kids would appreciate “the classics” a teeny bit more…

Always gives out great, if sometimes unsolicited, advice.

By the time his children start moving out of the house, he’ll be in tears (and probably drunk as well).

Sure, he can return to his old lifestyle now, but he’s really gonna miss them…

Often tries to find time in his schedule to attend any important life events and host family reunions.

Whenever he appears, expect him to become the subject of constant gossip among the guests.

As long as he can spend time with his family, he’s happy.

Mysta Rias

Surprisingly, he does a decent job at being a dad.

Can often be seen eating at restaurants with his kids.

He would cook healthier meals for them if possible, but we all know how that turned out.

The only gadgets his children are allowed to own are laptops (for schoolwork) and flip phones (for texts and calls).

He’s not going to talk about his kids on social media and he’s not letting them have social media either.

Highly encourages his children to study hard and develop good financial habits.

Over time, he developed an immunity to tactics like “puppy eyes” and “claiming they REALLY need the shiny new toy”.

If it’s something both of them want though, he’ll be a VERY unbearable customer.

If his kids do well in school, he’ll host watch parties to celebrate.

These almost always end with his kids laughing at him after lots of chaotic banter.

But if anyone else insults him or his kids, they’ll be on the receiving end of a hellish roast.

When his children move out, he’ll call them once a month for life updates.

Every day, he prays that they don’t repeat any of his mistakes in life.

Usually absent due to work, but when he DOES visit it’s a blast.

Spoils his kids with whatever they want if they ask nicely.

New clothes? They’re going to the most fashionable malls in town!

Spending the afternoon playing games? He’ll be down for that!

(He WILL get very competitive though.)

As long as the house is clean afterwards, anything is fine.

Speaking of cleaning, Luca would definitely teach his kids practical life skills like cooking and cleaning and fighting.

Would 100% record himself pranking his kids.

Has a massive influence on their life even when NOT present.

Those who pose even the slightest inconvenience must disappear.

No going outside without the protection of bodyguards.

And the shadow of his accomplishments shall always loom over his descendant’s heads.

But Luca would gladly pay any price to be able to create memories, however fleeting, with his family.

He’s trying his best.

Tends to fawn over how cute his favorite child is (or just his child if they have no siblings).

Spends a good chunk of the afternoon nerding out about things he liked “back in the day”.

If none of his kids end up liking Vocaloid, then he has failed as a parent.

Yes, he would un-ironically say that things were better back in HIS day.

Ike’s unhealthy eating habits are contagious and will spread to the rest of the family.

Tired to the point of falling asleep while reading bedtime stories.

Currently trying to sell any sussy things he possesses.

A good portion of his search history now consists of parenting forums, parent blogs, etc.

Tries to be patient when giving advice, but it’s surprisingly easy to bring out his blunt side.

As a result, he fears that he’ll make his kids cry if he tries to comfort them.

Other than that though, he’s mostly gentle when it comes to raising his kids.

Hopes that they will find something to cherish for life one day.

Chill and lax kind of parent.

As long as the kids aren’t getting hurt, anything is fine.

Owns a “World’s No. 1 Dad” mug “as a joke”.

Actually succeeds in being ✨hip with the kids✨

Would casually call himself a father on a random social media post without bringing it up ever again.

His advice usually tends to be “do want you want, but be responsible”.

He already has a hard time with romance and sexual topics and adding kids into the mix definitely doesn’t make it easier.

Probably starts leaving the house more often to spend quality time with the kids.

Open to teaching his children a bit of sorcery, but is still on the fence about passing down all of his knowledge.

After all, one’s life can only have so much magic before it stops being “normal”…

A HC list but it’s just Liezel

First queer chef yay

- Her parents were kind of strict on her and were sometimes the type to compare her to other children, but she didn’t mind for the most part

- They’re easier on her now and though they don’t understand her being transgender completely they love her as their daughter very much

- Her deadname was Ricky

- She moved to Tastyville for college and applied to a part-time job at Fluffmart to get some money while she studied in college

- Like mentioned in Allan’s hc list, Allan became her first friend in Tastyville since they had a bit in common, but the first person she came out to was Sue who was her upper

- She thinks she might also be bi or pansexual

- Before moving Liezel was aware of what being gay was, but it wasn’t talked about a lot back at her school since it was considered “taboo” where she was

- Overall nowadays is more outgoing, high-spirited, and a bit hyper at times

- Can be a bit of an anxious person who gets stressed out easily however so she takes her time when she need to (or at least when she can)

- Very affectionate with her friends, has even tackle-hugged a few of them before

- Type of person who can’t fall asleep in silence so she needs music to fall asleep to

- Also afraid of the dark so she keeps a nightlight

- Likes to collect cool stones and crystals, her favorite stone being peridot

- Despite falling out of football she still worked out to maintain a slightly athletic build. However after transitioning she became much more comfortable with getting back into it a little bit and can teach a thing or 2

- Really loves dogs because of Mary’s pugs (she got to come over and play with them whenever she felt like it) and wants her own someday

- Idk why but I think she’d know how to speak Japanese

- Unrelated but she really likes J-pop and Vocaloid, her favorite artists being YOASOBI

- Learned how to do her hair and makeup from Mindy and Vicky

- Has been getting into growing and taking care of plants in her apartment

- Back in high school she had one teacher who she really liked and that was her 11th grade English teacher who genuinely cared about her well-being for and she still keeps in contact with them

- When she went to her high school reunion, some people didn’t recognize her since she had changed so much, but those who did were her old English teacher and some of her former football teammates and a few of them also admitted to being closeted like her during high school

Sono Saki He Review

To commemorate finally having the finances to buy this album(even if it's just one type), I will do a review(with 0 musical knowledge).

Butterfly Dream. 8/10 At first I wasn't sold. But after a few listens it grew on me. I like the nice happy sound and it has a fantasy theme. I'm a sucker for fantasy themes.

Napa Rui. 10/10 I like the Celtic vibe. This is my fave in this album. I hope I get to watch this live one day.

Shirushi. 9/10 Nice and calm ballad. I can see myself listening to this when I want to chill. I like how Wakana's voice is so gentle here.

Kibo 8/10 I like this, the melody is good. But I'm still unsure whether I like how the high notes were done. But overall it's a great song. It's one of my favs in this album.

kara. 9/10 I never knew that this song would fit a game MV. But even without a tie-in, I still like to listen to it. I just have a little issue with a few parts that need more force and power. Also, I wonder if it's a conscious decision to do the last "SHO-wo" that way.

Sono Saki he - interlude 8/10 nice instrumental break.

Kemono. 7/10 I wasn't sold at first. I put off listening to it because I was so turned off by the start. There is a feeling of disharmony with how Wakana sang at the start and the instrumental. But after listening to it fully, I eventually liked it. The Vocaloid style was new and interesting.

Asu wo Yume Mite Utau 10/10 I just love ballads. Wakana's voice is so nice here.

Flag 10/10 I love it at first listen. I love the fantasy feel and the emotions in the delivery. Also, I love the contrast between the gentle parts and the powerful parts. I hope Wakana would have more tie-ins with games. I think this was the first time I heard her sing in such a strong and fast way in her entire solo career. I want more songs like this.

sono saki he 7/10 Nice song but compared to the rest, this was underwhelming.

Ato Hitotsu 8/10 Nice ballad. But nothing stands out for me.

Overall. A solid album. I like most if not all of the songs and I love that there are more songs with a fantasy feel. I hope Wakana would go more in that direction. Wakana is suited for fantasy-themed songs. Her voice has this ethereal feel, add a nice fantasy image and it would be perfect.

That said, I can see that Wakana is still figuring out where she wants to go with her singing. She still has a few things to improve on. Like to develop a stronger voice for a few parts. There are times when I wish she used a fuller voice in a part of a song. But compared to the start of her solo career she has improved a lot. I hope she continues to work with a vocal coach.

I don't know the status of Wakana's career if she's producing good return on investment. But I am glad that her music and stuff are still of good quality and that she's still getting wonderful songs and opportunities. I hope she gets more tie-ins with games. The game industry is a good industry, it's still growing and has a wide range of audiences. I wish all the best for Wakana's career.

I'm still here...

I'm still here, waiting for Spacecraft to figure things out to get Kalafina a reunion concert. Even if Yuki Kajiura is not ready to produce for Kalafina, the agency can still approach Keiko and Hikaru.

A concert is enough for me... Kalafina has so many beautiful songs. It'd be a waste if no one would sing them live.
