something I've thought about a decent amount and talked to a few people over is what is considered the cutoff for 'retro' fps
'cause for me, I refer to modern games emulating retrofpses as a seperate entity; boomer shooters. is there a concise, universally agreed upon year / game that's the cutoff for when retrofps games stop being so retro though?
this is what sits in my mind because when presented with trying to place postal (and by association the dude) within the ranks of retrofps games, postal 2 actually falls outside of my own personal cutoff of 2001 with the likes of serious sam & halo ce, even if postal as a franchise makes the cut

Hey y'all!
So I'm running against a conundrum for GRIM, my Quake-inspired FPS, and want y'all's input!
As of right now I have a lot of cool lore descriptions, weapon descriptions, and enemy descriptions, and I'm wondering if having all of this writing for a dark fantasy / sci-fi FPS is a bit much. It takes up about 80% of the rule book, but it's all an optional read. Even with it all, it'll still be about 45 pages total for the entire handbook.
So, I'll let y'all vote on it!!! What do y'all think?
