Using speech to text here because my fingers have been tired from doing a lot of promoting lol period.

I know I've already said this but I wanted to thank you all who helped me out with this bundle. I realized that I'm being kind of compensated for my work as well which I should take some pride in that people were interested in enough in my games to buy but also the fact that some of you bought games just so you could help me means a lot.

For the next week or so I think I'm gonna be a little bit more silent on social media. I want to try to get back on track working on the expansion for GRIM and maybe and maybe Mike some other f**and maybe might cook up some other projects. So if you don't see me for a little bit I promise that I'm not gone forever I'm just taking a little break lol.

PSA: MAKE A PORTFOLIO

I feel like every day I see juniors posting about how they're a really amazing creative who has an excellent body of work working on cool little games, and how you should hire them because of that.

They'll mention the independent projects they've worked on by name (which only a handful of their close circle people would ever likely have heard about), and then tack on "by the way I'm looking for work and you should hire me", and then they don't provide any form of contact information or even a portfolio where anyone can learn more or take action to hire them.

I cannot stress enough: make a portfolio. You want a source you can link someone that concisely compiles the work that you have done, overviews the projects you have contributed to, and outlines the expertise you have. If you don't have a portfolio it's incredibly unlikely you will find work just shouting into the void about how good you or your work is. No one will implicitly know you, and no one can implicitly be expected to know the games you have contributed to.

Sorry like...that's just where we're at. If you want work, you need to make yourself a portfolio. You need a place where someone who might be hiring and happens to come across you can visit and say "oh I can actually view what you're talking about and it sounds like you do know what you're doing". If you don't have an avenue to do that then there's very little point in advertising yourself in the first place, because you're just making people jump through hoops to try and hire you. Make it dirt simple and as easy as possible to show off everything you've done.

People don't just make portfolios for fun; they make them because they work.

In a time far beyond Earth’s exodus, explorers have unearthed relics and ancient architecture that are said to be older than the cosmos itself, shattering all theories of the creation of the universe and its age. You and your allies, assigned by the Martyrs of Free Olympia or the Elysian Coalition, are tasked to investigate ruins on the planet Gamma Rho Iota Mu, simply referred to as GRIM, to find any traces of life that are rumored to lay beneath the only structure on the planet: a towering obelisk.

Countless explorers sent to GRIM have delved into these ruins, but none have returned. Many denizens of Free Olympia and beyond have feared that their planet will be next to succumb to GRIM's grasp, and some have fallen to their knees to worship this fated harbinger of doom. All seemed hopeless and lost…

Until YOU arrived.

Inspired by prolific FPS games like the Quake series, GRIM's mechanics are quick, brutal, and easy to understand without sacrificing its immense depth.

Using either the flip of a coin or a six-sided die (d6), use Combat Skills to speed around combat maps and frag enemies, or use Roleplaying Skills either in or out of combat to navigate the dark and oppressive world beyond the Whispering Gate.

It's honestly so fine! I don't reach out to people to promote bundles and stuff because it makes me uncomfy (and trauma), I didn't really pump it all the time (because I have time boundaries and low energy levels), and more, so I kinda knew the goal was super high...

BUTTTTTT the fact we got almost halfway there is amazing. Like I am able to breathe so much more easily right now. I have a damn near permanent stomach ulcer that would flare up every time I enjoyed something because I felt guilty. But now, I can get some little treats while affording rent for a few months. My favorite thing is taking a walk down the street to get some sunlight and get an Arizona Tea. It's super cheap and really yummy!!!

I can't appreciate you and so many others who showed love. Maybe some nice rich person will drop 3.5k at the end of the day tomorrow and we will make it, but it's unlikely. But the fact y'all are helping me breathe a bit better is so healing, and it's y'all that helped that become reality.
