   i. as they did when they were kids, Kaeya still picks seashells- alone, if he must. however, if he notices that Diluc has been upset that day, he'll always leave a little, colorful conch in the bag of mora he uses to pay his drinks. he usually vanishes before Diluc can see the conch, just in case his reaction isn't positive in remembrance of their old days.
ii. he can never resist picking, as a souvenir when he visits another nation as a diplomat, an owl-shaped trinket. be it a cute little plant vase, be it a small keychain with gems in its eyes, be it a small teacup that will never be used- anything shaped like an owl will get to Diluc. by this point it's a tradition that's more of an inside joke for Kaeya.
iii. he has 100% not forgiven him for the 0% alcohol accident. he'll hold it over his head until they both die.
iv. Kaeya has once climbed all the way to Diluc's office window to deliver a vase. There was nothing wrong with the door- he just felt like being goofy. How he managed to climb two floors without breaking the hideous thing is still a mystery, but he'd do it again!

@resolutepath ( Pulcinella ) ♡'d this for a starter.
Tumblr media
He had returned to the Palace and it was not by sheer coincidence that the Rooster was the first Tartaglia sought out of any of his peers.
In his hand, he held a small bento box carefully draped in clean cloth, and even though its contents were skillfully hidden, completely out of view, the warmth wafting off the wrapping was made obvious by the faint mist surrounding it.
❛ Thank you for keeping him safe. ❜ In his gratitude, there was also an underlying question Tartaglia didn't dare to anticipate, his choices being that of someone beholden but never overly naive.
Teucer had left Snezhnaya and fled into Liyuean soil unscathed once, but as lucky as the kid could ever prove to be, there surely must've had greater powers ensuring safe travels. To that, the question the Eleventh rolled around his tongue, trapped behind his teeth was — why allow him out in the first place?
Tumblr media
Rather than posit or pry out of turn, he offered his usual, earnest amiability just as his pace lead him before the other Harbinger. ❛ He was adamant about baking these cookies despite any alternatives I proposed. ❜ He laughed, fondly at that, while placing and pushing the threat over the desk.

Before I suggest anything, I'm reminding you that all the muses that I've suggested to you have ended up on your muse list ndkdkfj
That being said I think you should try at an Aeon. I could see you writing Nanook tbh or Lan. Also I think you would have a lot of fun with Duke Inferno. In terms of genshin I'm almost certain you're already making space for the new boy but also I could see you having fun with Arlecchino.
send canon characters you think i could write
Tumblr media
this is exactly why i said this meme is dangerous-
not gonna lie, i have been Tempted by nanook >_> and i think it'd be interesting to try my hand at an aeon level character. hmmmm..... i shall Think on this one
and yes, i am 100% making space for the new boy bc i am so very, very weak. arle isn't one i've ever thought about before but..... maybe..........

@resolutepath asked:
"You are the representative of Miss Lisa, yes?" There is little time given for confirmation as Alhaitham gestures for Signe to follow, already walking towards the House of Daena, assuming she will keep up. "The missive received was rather vague, I assume for a delicacy in its nature. That being said if you could disclose further something of the topic I will be able to direct you more swiftly to the best area to search." He pauses as he opens the doors to the library and gestures inside. "As you can see our collection is rather more extensive than the Mondstadt library."
Alhaitham's pace is a quick one, and Signe has to nearly jog to keep up the pace. She had heard many things about Alhaitham, some good and some less so, and found herself intrigued to say the least; but she was quickly finding out just how dedicated to efficiency the scholar was.
"Lisa's my mentor, actually. I'm here as a visiting student. To say I represent her would be a bit of an overstatement," she explained, holding onto her hat as she swerved this way and that through the various students that perused the halls. "The topic I'm looking to research is more of a personal interest of mine. If there were any information I could find on the effects of the Cataclysm, specifically regarding the effects it carried onto Khaenri'ah..."
She jogged again to catch up with him, nearly straying to take in the sheer grandiosity of the Akademiya. Compared to Mondstadt, the House of Daena may as well has been a city of its own, with books covering every wall the witch could see.
Tumblr media
"Do you know a lot of the students within the Akademiya, Mister Alhaitham? Lisa wanted me to find a former student of hers to give her regards, but I suppose I'll be a bit busy with my research over the next few days."

@resolutepath ( diluc ) — sc.
Mondstadt is not his problem — or rather, not his to cause a problem for, and yet boredom already itches under his skin hardly a few days into his stay. With the Fair Lady's passing, someone had to remind the City of Freedom of their ally's strength, and who better than the walking weapon of war?
He doesn't even need to do anything, and that is precisely the problem.
Finally, that boredom drives him back to the Angel's Share, because surely even the dulled flame behind the counter would be more exciting than the sleepy monsters outside Mondstadt's walls. Childe had seen the Vision — not a Delusion — the bartender wore. Even if he claimed he'd always had it . . .
His smile flashes in the light as he strides into Angel's Share, and his smile only grows wider as the patrons' eyes turn to follow his path to the bar. He drops his elbows on the counter and leans his chin on one hand.
❝ Hey, red. ❞ Scorched Abyss mages, a long red hair in the remains of a Fatui camp . . . Childe only had to fan the flame enough, and he was sure it would flare back into that stunning blaze. ❝ Lucky me, my favorite face is working tonight. Say, do you have any fire water? Something stronger than the fruit juice you call wine, at least? ❞

7. describe your favorite relationship dynamic. (can be any kind, platonic, romantic, familial, antagonistic, etc.) & 10. what genre do you most enjoy, whether in roleplay, or fiction as a whole? (fantasy, period, superhero, etc.)
describe your favorite relationship dynamic. (can be any kind, platonic, romantic, familial, antagonistic, etc.)
my diehard dynamic is one that perseveres through the odds. it doesn't matter if it's platonic, romantic, or familial namely - what matters is that they face extreme trials through their entire story and still make it through to the end, and with their bond intact, even if their perspective of one another has changed. i've been through sooo many fandoms and rpcs at this point, and i think that a lot of my favourite dynamics have revolved around this sort of dynamic; where the two people won't let the world break them apart.
washington and carolina in red vs blue falls into this, because they were the only two agents from project freelancer left in the end, and they were basically like siblings once it got to that point. cayde-6 in destiny had an undying bond with the other vanguard (zavala and ikora) through the events of the first and second games, until he... well... let's just say i have a track record of my favs dying or almost dying.
but okay, if i have to pick a specific dynamic, i'm on board with mentor/mentee the most - barring platonic and romantic dynamics, because i like my muses to have friends and happiness, but mentor/mentee dynamics are just... chefs kiss. like yes, i want other muses to guide my muse through the trials and tribulations of life. i want my muse to have parent-like figures who don't actually seek to overrule that role in their lives, just being in their corner, wanting to see them grow as a person and be a part of the reason they do. i want my muse to LEARN from other muses. whether it's by shadowing them or by being asked question after question... i love it so much.
what genre do you most enjoy, whether in roleplay, or fiction as a whole? (fantasy, period, superhero, etc.)
my top two genres are sci-fi and fantasy. but okay, that's pretty broad, right? there are a LOT of subcategories here. and yes, i like basically all of them, but i'll name a specific one for each:
sci-fi? dystopian. but like... blade runner dystopian. westworld dystopian. cyberpunk dystopian. worlds where the lines blur and you're left to question where you're meant to draw the line. sure, i like more traditional sci-fi too - such as mass effect, one of my favourite games of all time - but there's something i love to explore in the idea of dystopian fiction the most, and in anything that is inherently sci-fi based, these can apply.
as for fantasy? my main one is historical fantasy. yeah, i like my high fantasy, i definitely like my dark fantasy, but honestly... i love things that are fantastical while still having historical connections. i think highlander REALLY sealed the deal for me on this one - and if not that, then obviously anything ancient mythos related, but... yeah. dark fantasy is just such a close second. (if you squint, you can tell i'm a massive bioware fanboy who adores their trademark series.)

@resolutepath / to write or not to write / accepting
I already have a muse who dressed like Herta once... So I could have a puppeteer and a puppet in my possession shdfjk I don't think I could do her intelligence justice but I do like her bluntness.
Unfortunately I don't know much about the new Genshin content but how did you know I'm a sucker for cute catgirls?? And she has siblings like... That's always a plus.

@resolutepath: 👫 also i'm laying benny and klee here for you if you want ( meme source. )
Tumblr media
BENNETT:
   i. Kaeya didn't believed that Bennett was cursed with bad luck until he accompanied him on a mission out of curiosity. After that terrible experience, Kaeya still accompanies him on commissions out of genuine concern.
ii. he also didn't believed that the Precious Chests found by him only spawned cabbages. when it inevitably happened, Kaeya scooped up the ''spoils'' and proceeded to cook them some veggies and meat to boost their morale!
iii. since Kaeya can communicate with hilichurls, sometimes he bribes some of them with fruit to keep an eye out for the boy. mama hen Kaeya who?
iv.catch them enthusiastically wave at eachother from across the entire plaza when they meet eachother!
KLEE:
   i. he's half mom, half uncle around her. he's simultaneously the responsible adult and the fun big brother, and all these roles come with ease because he just wants her to have an happy childhood.
ii. the rules he wrote for her and that she memorized as her idle? given to them by Kaeya in hope that Jean wouldn't bust her blasting fish. unfortunately this doesn't seem to work for a long time goal-
iii. you know Kaeya has gone in solitary confinement with her MANY times. the game implied that in the Chasm story quest, and I'm LIVING for it. most of the times Kaeya is the one who attempts to break them out and lands them here for an even longer sentence. expecially funny since the solitary confinement room is Klee's room...
iv. the only time where he eats fish without scrunching up his entire face is when she makes him a fisherman toast. if that isn't love I don't know what that is-

✧ @resolutepath asked: Are there some things you dislike about how the show/series/etc. portray the character you have picked up? If so, what? & What would you say is the most unique trait about your character?
Tumblr media
Are there some things you dislike about how the show/series/etc. portray the character you have picked up? If so, what?
To answer this I will focus more on the fandom perception or portrayal of him rather than HYV's, as there is nothing I can say to dislike about the way they're managing him other than his poor screentime— which I presume is because he's too lore-driven that makes it dangerous to have him there for too long, this in combination with lore aspects he's connected to like Khaenri'ah and Irminsul, but also the power from beyond Skirk mentioned as making someone be praiseworthy if they possess it.
I think that the most prominent thing I've seen is that people ship him with Lumine based on a line of the Travail trailer that it's assumed by part of the community that is related to her (while he could be referring to someone else, which is my personal thought— HYV has a way of throwing out there voiced lines that can be quite misleading with the images that are playing at the same time and it's a regular thing that happens in many trailers from my own observations) in combination with the fact that, if we take Aether as the Traveler based on what HYV has been announcing always, Dain traveled with Lumine until they fell apart. I'm positive that the knowledge that she was made princess of Khaenri'ah within the Caribert AQ must've fed a lot more this ship. The thing is that I'm not necessarily against this ship per se if I ignore my own particular headcanons, what bothers me is the way Dain is treated pretty much like a lapdog. That in many of people's tendencies to have him lick her boot, he's reduced to nothing but a servant without autonomy when in reality he's obviously neck deep against the Abyss Order and against her deeds by extension.
This ship talk can be applied to Kaeya too in the instances where people have him take the route of the Abyss Order by betraying Mondstadt even though, as per my own personal view, he'd rather side with Mondstadt despite his lineage and he himself said in the Caribert AQ that getting confirmation of what he apparently suspected won't change his animosity towards the Abyss Order.
Another thing that bothers me that isn't any less important than the shipping aspect is that many take for granted that he's automatically lying because he never spills all the beans, when in reality his character suffers from deliberate vague or incomplete speech that I can only assume is, in great part, on HYV so that he doesn't say everything and those topics are revealed little by little instead. Thankfully, I'm starting to see more people pointing out to those who say he lies that he isn't and that he just doesn't explain things in full, but that doesn't make it any less true what he says. The one topic I find questionable is his claim that it is impossible to get rid of the curse whereas Chlothar seems to have broken free from it. For this in specific, I think that while Dain tried to find ways to break free from it himself without avail, some variable played in Chlothar's release and potentially that of his descendants that either Dain wasn't aware of or didn't think it would be possible, only to find out years later that it is.
What would you say is the most unique trait about your character?
The first thing I would say is his connection with Irminsul due to the wisdom he possesses not only of the past, but of the future too. But there are other characters linked with the tree that one way or another can too (at least to some extent or part of it, for example Nahida in seeing the past but perhaps not the future as she refers to it as ultimate knowledge; the princess of Sal Vidagnyr who was blessed with foresight through dreams that later on she would draw in frescoes). As mentioned earlier, maybe one thing that makes him unique is that most likely than not he's in possession of the power from beyond that Skirk mentions and that Dain talks about in order to defy this world using a "we", which includes him.
If we're to leave out the power aspect of his character, the one thing I'd highlight of him is that he's been able to endure the corruption for this long without succumbing yet, even if it was shown in multiple instances that it can be relatively easy to do that (be it due to negative feelings, to fall to temptation of a greater power as the Abyss Order tried to lure Andrius in, among other aspects). It could be because of some "it" we don't know about when he wondered how is it possible for Halfdan to have retained that limited degree of self-awareness after five centuries, or it could be out of willpower. If we combine to this his self-imposed solitude that he admits to not relish, I firmly believe that he has a perfect recipe to succumb to corruption but he doesn't. And I think that this is partly what people use in order to make work the aforementioned ships, by erasing this praiseworthy willpower that brought him to where he is today.

@resolutepath: ‘  grief  is  just  love  with  no  place  to  go .  ’ (elio to blade)
Tumblr media
Though the voice does not startle him, it is still unexpected.
He sits alone - though not any longer, it seems - upon the sill of a window that looks out upon a familiar landscape. They are yet to leave the Xianzhou Luofu, though they won't linger much longer. He has already delayed them longer than planned, but it was... necessary.
His gaze remains fixed upon the world beyond the window, but he acknowledges the new presence that pads silently to his side. It isn't surprising that Elio has paid him a visit now, of all times. In fact, he had almost expected it.
But the words... those he did not expect.
Tumblr media
"And what makes you think I am grieving?" It is a pointless question, and a poor attempt at deflection. He is grieving, and Elio knows it, because he knows everything. If anything, his response is knee-jerk, instinct, a natural reaction to vulnerability.
He sighs, casts his gaze away from the familiar. The sooner they are away from this place, the better. He can feel the monster inside him stirring, restless. "It is a useless emotion." The words sound harsh, and there is a stubbornness to them - because grief is also a very human emotion, in his mind.
And he is not human. He is a weapon. Only a weapon.

What would you say is the most unique trait about your character? & What made you pick up this character?
@resolutepath // Prompt: Canon Questionnaire. // Accepting
Tumblr media
12. What would you say is the most unique trait about your character? Answered here!
1 What made you pick up this character? This kind of picks up on/after #8 over here, and it's mostly that I get so incredibly protective of characters that I get excessively invested in. Right from the very first scene, Kafka captivated every ounce and inch of my attention. It's violence galore, and what is at the very center of it without being exactly... at the center of it? She is, with her eyes closed and seemingly caught in this intricately detailed reverie of sound (the way her hands and fingers move is so /chef's kiss, perfection) while everything around her is struck in total chaos. And there's something about how they drew such a correlation between her and every bang, explosion and laser that happened on the Space Station, and then decided to iterate it even more through the Fermata lightcone. Any way, they immediately presented us with a very intriguing woman, and it barely even took days for fanon takes on x and Tumblr to reduce her to a hypersexualized, and overtly dominant woman who lacks all substance and intricacy. I truly hated it. And so I started (lowkey) making her blog within the first month of the game's release, and then mentioned I was doing so a bit more actively after that. It took a long time for me to set her up, as I insisted on staying focused on my Genshin blog, but the salt grew, and so as did my passion for her character. I think that Hoyo has done an incredible job with her so far, and it saddens me to the very core that I don't see that nuance appreciated or even acknowledged within fanon and fans alike. I just, I know that I'm but one person, but if even a handful of individuals come to see what I see of her, and see the intense nuance in her character, then I'm already content, you know? But also, I just love delving into this psychology that is so unlike anything I've seen.
