Ren Sakakibara swap character au, this is the first version of him and I like it already! His character is a bully, like akabane, only worse. He dyed his hair when he was 13. Wears piercings, chokers. okay so like, my isosano where they were like friends since first year junior high? yeah i have a whole au about it in my head stirring around that i'd like to talk about, im not sure if these contradict my fic but like i did that fic months ago and then these thoughts started stirring after

so like,,, before junior high, isogai, maehara, hazama, and akabane all knew each other, theyre a friend group but maehara and akabane are super close that theyve become super gay for each other but as akabane becomes more violent he starts to distance himself from them, unofficially leaving the group during first year junior high

then isogai and asano become secret friends but then his father died so he started to distance himself too, which leaves maehara and hazama mostly being there for each other until maehara finds out about isosano and then tells hazama and the trio is a trio again but no akabane until third year first term finals where maehara talks to akabane privately to comfort him about his drop in rank to which akabane tries to push him away and maehara just snaps and yells some needed truth at him.

so during okinawa arc, akabane sees maehara is sick and panics because he hasn't apologized yet and hes still very gay for him. then after his fight with grip, isogai scolds him for being so reckless and that maehara would be extremely worried once he heard this. this kinda reignites isogai and akabane's friendship. then blah blah after everyone recovers, the quartet just sits together watching the sunrise as they talk friendship and become a full friend group again!!!

this leads to plenty of maekabane matchmaking from the other two, and after the pole toppling tournament, akabane finds out about isosano and joins the isosano matchmakers that consist of maehara, hazama, and sakakibara

so now the friend group gains two new members (asano and sakakibara) and some honorary members (the rest of the big five and the terasaka gang) who occasionally join in on their shenanigans, sometimes unwillingly

maehara and akabane get together during the valentines episode, and isogai and asano get together during third year highschool, while sakakibara and hazama are single and would like to stay single forever

Why Are They Friends?

Even if it's not obvious during the first watch, everyone in the ass-class fandom agrees that Gakushu's closest friend is Ren. Ever since I started writing Ren into my Asano fics, I've had this constant question going on in my head. How and why are they friends? I can see why Ren would stick with someone like Gakushu. Gakushu is admired by everyone and that includes Ren. But, why does Gakushu see Ren as a friend? Or does he? Even as adults the two keep in contact with each other, so he must enjoy his company somewhat. Gakushu also refers to Ren as his first name, unlike most people. 

Ren is a womanizer, who, yes has amazing grades, but so do the other guys in the Big Five. So why is he the closest to Ren?

Now, it could be because of Ren's status at school. Gakushu is rather shallow, so I doubt he would be close to someone who doesn't have the intelligence or wealth to back them up. Ren has both of those. 

According to the show, Ren is not only described as a poet but a shrewd one at that. And as we all know it, Gakushu himself is one manipulative asshole, so maybe that's something he admires from Ren.

In chapter 50, when Gakushu went to confront Isogai for having a job, one of the women there got upset, but Ren immediately stepped in and calmed her down. Now, Gakushu is a good-looking guy, he could probably seduce anyone if he wanted. But let's face it, he wouldn't. So, he leaves that stuff for Ren to do.

It wouldn't surprise me if something like this happened before where Ren needs to use his poetic skills to quell an angry woman so Gakushu could do what he wants. Would that make them partners in crime lol.

And over time, their time, they probably grew to have some kind of bond and grew to trust Ren for stuff like that. Ren is also the student council secretary, giving him more opportunities to be with Gakushu. 

They also hang out outside of school. After their loss in the sports festival, Ren offered Gakushu to go out to eat at a fancy restaurant to cheer him up. 

I don't see Gakushu asking any of the Big Five to go out and just hang out. He seems to only spend time with them when it comes to school-related activities. From what I have seen, Ren is the one to suggest going out or inviting others to parties.

It's safe to say that Ren seems to like having a social life. He's not like Gakushu, someone who is obsessed with grades. Yes, Ren likes to have high grades, but he also likes hanging out with his friends, going on dates, and just being a teenager. And since Gakushu was groomed to spend all his time excelling at everything, which means he doesn't have time to build genuine relationships around people, it's a nice change of pace to hang out with someone like Ren.

the cover has now acquired its final form, it was changed many times, since we could not find a suitable atmosphere for the plot, the very first version was also not bad, but it could not convey the atmosphere that I and my writing was put into the comic itself. Now this is the final result, and we definitely won’t change it. The title was also changed due to the plot. in general, if we talk about how the work is going, then we have almost completed the script itself, and I have started work on chapter 4, the work is in full swing. I devote every day and every free minute to work, I try to finalize something and remove something altogether (since I am not only an artist and an author, but also a screenwriter and editor), although it can be a little difficult since there are only two of us, but This doesn’t stop us from moving on and creating something that you might really like. The Ghosts of Christmas

I am so sorry I totally meant to make a post when I started it and then forgot. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This year, I've decided to make another Christmas fic! (Instead of finishing Kristmas Karma II first, because I'm a jerk.) It follows Gakuhou, featuring the big 5 (plus Karma), in his own, very much needed Christmas Carol! It's got four chapters out so far and the plan is to post one each day until Christmas, and I'm very proud of it. ^^

(No KKII, don't look at me that way! I haven't forgotten or abandoned you I SWEAR!!)
