LEXIIII I LOVE YOUUUUU!!!!!! something concrete that made me happy is i recently bought a dark blue sweater. and I usually dont wear dark blue but i loveedd the fit. And years ago my aunt/cousins gifted me bright blue earrings, which is also a colour i never wear. And it turns out they look lovely together!

less concrete thing is that these months i slowly find myself having more energy! i mean it's nowhere near when this bullshit started 2+ years ago bur yesterday i had a MASSIVE grocery trip and i walked so much with heavy bags. And afterwards i was tired but fine! crazy! half a year ago i would've been horizontal the entire day

My dream last night was weird and a bit upsetting because i had to kidnap babies and provide the parents with a doppelganger so they wouldnt notice? and then some sort of death personified made of rotting flesh and tattered robes came. anyway. The sky is grey but i have loud music on for my chores while singing along. The arrival of spring will undoubtedly be the most beautiful sight these coming months 🩷 hope everything is well with you ❤️

please drop your scrambled egg method 🙏🙏

hiiiii yes okay this method is highly controversial. everyone is upset when they hear it but listen to me. listen to me. if you follow my instructions you will have the softest fluffiest scrambled eggs you ever did see

Ingredients:

1. as many eggs as you want (ideally 2 or more)

Recipe:

1. crack your eggs into a bowl. using a fork, quickly whisk eggs until a uniformish color with no big egg strands

2. add water to the bowl and whisk again, the texture should be way more uniform. my rule of thumb is to have a small steady stream of water with one beat per egg, so if you're making three eggs you put water in the bowl for a one-two-three count. honestly I just adjust by vibe

3. add eggs to a preheated on medium-low nonstick pan that you've already added nonstick spray or a small amount of oil to. with a rubber spatula, stir eggs slowly and constantly. this will take a few minutes and remember to scrape the bottom! if you want to add anything to your eggs like ham or green onions or cheese this is the time but DO NOT SEASON YET!!!!

4. at some point some of your eggs will have solidified while some parts remain liquid. this is when you stop stirring and start folding your eggs over and over, still scraping off the bottom. it's a gentle motion that still moves everything around

5. continue cooking to just before your desired texture! take the pan off the heat and by the time you're ready to plate up they'll be cooked as much as you want

6. NOW AND ONLY NOW may you season your eggs, I like sea salt and freshly cracked pepper. enjoy!!!

tldr; add ONLY water to your eggs and season once they're fully cooked 🍳🍳🍳

in all seriousness my top 3 apart from that are probably 1. dvořák 9 (obvious), 2. shostakovich 7 (first symphony i heard performed live and it hooked itself into my brain), aaand 3... probably sibelius 2 at the moment tbh (symphonybracket introduced me to this one and i keep going back to it, the second movement in particular makes me lose my mind)

lexi!! hi hi ive been good <33 just busy w work and studying a;sfskasdf and yes!! i have eaten smth yummy recently, over the weekend, my mom made one of my favorite dishes it's this taiwanese pork stew called 肉羹 (ròu gēng) it's got garlic & soy sauce marinated pork, napa cabbage, carrots, and shiitake mushrooms, and u eat it w rice <3 and a few days ago we had ikura on hand which is a rarity so i made a little fancy breakfast of rice + ikura, miso soup, n green tea!! wbu <33

I think my basic answer would be dosa with dosa podi (south indian crepe + blended spice powder you mix with oil), but that only beats out poori (fried puffed wheat circles) and potato curry because I actually prefer gorging myself on poori for dinner instead 🫶 But for western um um I'm genuinely such a fan of butter and toast with coffee! HMM. many ways to answer this

i would not consider it an obsession per se But when i was a baby my parents played this like. i guess it must've been one of those "classical music for toddlers" type CDs when i would go to bed. so i have a distinct memory of going to sleep listening to the romanze of eine kleine nachtmusik. that plus the old ass late 90s magic flute pc game probably are the reasons i am Like This now lol

i also started piano lessons when i was young (5 years old) and continued uninterrupted through the beginning of high school (and then Briefly again in freshman year of college before covid happened). i remember spending a Ton of time on clementi's six sonatinas op 36, especially nos. 2 (g maj) and 6 (d maj). also scott joplin rags...i started on like simplified baby arrangements of maple leaf and the entertainer and even though i don't play piano much anymore now i still pride myself on being able to play the original full versions (scott joplin isn't Traditional(tm) Classical Music(tm) in the same vein as mozart or clementi of course but i think it's close enough also i love him.)

ummm. in 5th or 6th grade (right after i started learning oboe) my music class took a field trip to hear the local orchestra play holst's planets suite and the oboist of the group came to our school to talk about it with us and while i wouldn't say the planets ever became an Obsession piece of mine, i am of course fond of jupiter (who isn't??) and that oboist became my first private teacher and helped me get where i am today so. fond memories

Oh and i had the nutcracker suite on my 2007 ass ipod nano. yeah the one with the scroll wheel and no touch screen. i listened the fuck outta that as a kid
