DarkHamonixer from Twitter is a modder and has been making some DmC mods recently.

Perhaps someone already did find out about it, but whether or not it was shared years ago, this fact has been lost to time or was never shared.

Today, it's been revealed (again, maybe, idk) that the infamous mugshot of 2010 concept reboot Dante is a 3D model base that was "painted" over through Photoshop or such, which would soon create the 2010 mugshot picture for their reveal and promos.

Honestly, since i have no experience on digital art or digital photo rendering, all I have ever really thought of the 2010 images was that they were digital pieces through and through. Didn't know that they have a 3D environment and took photos of it (?), and rendered it further. I think that's cool and also realizing it's just an efficient process.

DmC 2 designs for the main 3

i've made so many of these designs lol but i really love this game and i need a way to fill the empty space in my soul that the lack of a sequel has left 😭

Dante- I gave him a red jacket but made it cropped to better differentiate him from og dante and to give him a different silhouette. I wanted his outfit to look more diy and gritty, fitting in with the state of Limbo city at this point.

Kat- I wanted to keep the basic vibe of her original design so i kept a hood and put a vine motif going up the sleeves to mimic her henna in-game. I gave her longer, baggier pants with pockets to hold ingredients for spells.

Vergil- His outfit hasn't changed much because he's been in Hell for the time being. His jacket looks more tattered and worn and he himself looks sickly given the wound to his heart. I gave him more practical boots and referenced this unused DMC5 vergil concept.

My intention for this drawing was vergil gets more sensitive and sharper after dante's succesful mission, dante gets more dull and feelingless time after time doing his brother's requests. Maybe this situation would be after vergil rules the world and dante just follows it. That's why vergil squints and dante has no face expressions🙂‍↕️
