Since we love to talk about football on here, I think this is also a great time to take a stance against the racism muslim players will go through for fasting this month.

One of my very least favourite football memory is related to Ajax UCL semifinal against Tottenham in 2019. When Ziyech and Mazraoui told the club they were going to fast, you can only imagine the amount of racism they had to endure from dutch fans (won't even go through the comments against cause it was very upsetting for me) and even some of the staff at Ajax who were "unhappy" with that.

Oh, and the media with their articles and titles? islamophobia at its finest:

yeah, I could go on and on. Funnily enough Hakim scored and they both were amongst the best players that night despite the result but thank europe for nothing!

However, the recent genocide and war have devastated his business, leaving it in ruins and depriving him of his livelihood. Mabrouk is a devoted father to a son and a daughter. His son, Taher, was receiving regular treatment for his brain atrophy, but the war disrupted his medical care, leading to a deterioration in his health and a deviation in his eyes. Mabrouk is now desperate to find a way out of Gaza, seeking safety and a chance to rebuild his shattered life for the sake of his children.

Let me tell you about myself.

I am Arafat, the older brother of Mabrouk. I am a teacher and a lecturer of English. Let me put this tragedy between your hands. Actually I thought alot before I tell you my story. This is NOT me! But Being displaced after investing my entire life into building my dream house was a crushing blow. The emotional and financial toll of seeing my lifelong dream shattered left me feeling lost and devastated. Every corner of that house held memories, aspirations, and hard work, making its loss feel like a piece of myself had been taken away.

Despite the hardship, I held onto the hope that rebuilding my life was possible, even if it meant starting from scratch. My family and I need your support to rebuild and renovate my damaged house, in the photos above, and to survive. This is the sixth month of war in Gaza under fire and shelling suffering from starvation and suffocating siege.

Here, Gaza, where you find tragedy and displacement. I am in dire need for your support as I have to provide for my family , and my newborn who has opened his eyes to see bloodshed everywhere. You know Gaza and the situation in detail. Let alone Ramadan and its requirement, living in a cramped and stifling tent. Therefore, the struggle to survive weighs heavily on us and makes every day a battle for basic necessities. All of us are prone to die at any moment. Hence, with your generous support, my family can endure until they secure safe passage through Rafah crossing before the Israeli occupation army controls and closes it. Consequently, your help and contribution will definitely bring back my children's future and rebuild my house that is our only shelter.
