World IT Zone pays tribute to legendary film maker and founder of Rajshri Productions Shri Tarachand Barjatya. #TarachandBarjatya (1914 – 1992) was a film executive turned distributor who founded #Rajshri Productions making #movies such as Dosti, Jeevan Mrityu, Uphaar, Piya Ka Ghar, Saudagar, Geet Gaata Chal, Tapasya, Chitchor, Dulhan Wahi Jo Piya Man Bhaye, Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se, Sawan Ko Aane Do, Taraana, Nadiya Ke Paar, and Saaransh. His mainstay was family-oriented films based on family values. A tribute on his #birth #anniversary today. Early Life ————— Tarachand Barjatya was born on 10 May 1914 in a Marwari family in Kuchaman City, Jodhpur State, British India. Education —————- Tarachand’s father emphasized on good education and sent Tarachand to Vidyasagar College in Calcutta to complete his graduation. His father wanted him to study law after completing his Bachelor of Arts. But Tarachand was not interested. He would stretch on the back bench of the class and read film magazines. When senior Barjatya discovered this, he wasted no time in enrolling his son as an apprentice with Moti Mahal theatres, even though they could not afford to pay him any stipend. The year was 1933. Career ———— For five years Tarachand worked tirelessly and won everyone’s heart. Moti Mahal also owned a film distribution business in south India, called Chamaria Talkie Distributors, which was not doing well. Tarachand was deputed there to take care of the business in Madras (today Chennai). It was his astute business acumen and communication skills that changed the destiny of Moti Mahal theatres. The Word ‘Family’ Will Be Redefined With Rajshri Productions Hum Chaar – Here Is All You Need To Know

58th production for Rajshri Production will start soon and it has been titled as ‘Hum Chaar’. It is a movie that is scheduled to release in the year 2019. Last release from Rajshri Production has been Prem Ratan Dhan Payo which has happened almost three years ago. The announcement for the upcoming venture has been made already. Through this movie directed by Abhishek Dixit, the word ‘family’ will be redefined once again.

In a statement, director Abhishek Dixit has said “It has been a great experience being a part of the Rajshri family and making this film which will redefine the word ‘family’. In this golden age of content driven cinema we have tried our best to come up with a story which is relatable to everyone who share a great bonding with friends. Thank you to the Rajshri family and Sooraj Barjatya sir for showing trust in me.”

“Hum Chaar’ is a movie that is all about friendship. However, the movie will certainly follow the philosophy of Rajshri Productions which is ‘family first’. Ideas will be explored at a time when nuclear families have become the norm of society. Joint families are rarely seen these days. Therefore, friends have certainly become an extension of family.

Banner of ‘Hum Chaar’ has been introduced to the audience in one of a kind manner. Series of sequences from Rajshri’s past movies have been shown on the occasion through a video. Theme of the video can be looked as love and also family. From some of the greatest hits, messages have been taken such as “friends are family too”

During launch, director Sooraj Barjatya has said “It’s always a proud moment welcoming another film into the family. Abhishek with ‘Hum Chaar’ has explored the idea of how ‘Friends are Family’ too in today’s world, which resonates with the values that Rajshri has stood for in the past 71 years.” Details about the casting have not been revealed yet.

Samrat & Co. - Music Review

Samrat & Co. has been largely low key when it comes to awareness among the audience. It is a detective thriller, directed by Kaushik Ghatak and produced by Rajshri Productions.

Rajeev Khandelwal started his journey as an actor with splendid performances in Aamir and Shaitan, but has not made any mark there on.

1. Tequila Wakila - Music : Ankit Tiwari - Shreya Ghoshal is super in this enjoyable song. Ankit uses Enrique style latino sound to a good foot tapping effect.

Rating - 3/5

2. Sawaalon main - Music : Ankit Tiwari - Shreya Ghoshal excels in this situational suspense track. Ankit creates the right mood of suspense and spookiness with the music arrangement.

Rating - 3/5

3. Samrat & Co. - Music : Gopal, Ananad, Pawan - Another situational track, should work well as a background piece. The music composers set it up nicely and get the sound right.

Rating - 2.5/5

4. Shukr tera - Music : Mithoon - Chinmayi Sripada is fabulous with her low pitched vocals in this breezy melody by Mithoon. A nice tune, where Mithoon keeps the music arrangement minimal and lets Chinmayi and Arijit Singh dominate. At six minutes it gets a little long, but the vocals are so good that one would not mind it. It has another version O Humnawa which retains the tune, but has a different music arrangement. Gajendra Varma, Mithoon and Chinmayi both are good with their vocals which is the soul of the song.

Rating - 3.5/5

5. Samrats theme - Album comes to an end with this well composed instrumental piece. This one is for the background score and not for the playlist.

Rating - 3/5

The promotion of the movie and the music in particular has been quite low key which is sad considering it has couple of really nice songs.

A short soundtrack, but a good one.

Overall Rating - 3/5

My pick - Shukr Tera, Tequila Wakila.
