When you get (badly) injured

Amity: PANICC. She is calling Emira so fucking fast. Once the initial panic calms down she wraps abomination goo around the wound. Once Emria shows up she majorly calms down. Once Emria is done she makes sure you're fully alright.

Luz: Screaming and crying. I'm joking but she is scared. She quickly gets wrap-around band-aids with normal fun band-aids on top. Makes sure you are healing properly. Will not tolerate you overexerting yourself. She'll help you do anything that requires you to move the part of your body that you hurt.

Willow: Tries her best to be calm. She disinfects and badges you up. Then nearly kills you with a bear hug. She is slightly more protective of you for the next week or two (I.E. any time you fall a bunch of vines sprout up stopping you from falling.)

Hunter: More shaken up than you. He has a lot of knowledge on how to bandage wounds after being in the Emperor's coven. He shakily disinfects the wound and puts wrap-around bandages on it. He keeps asking if you're okay over and over. He is overprotective of you afterward. Overall pretty okay.

Vee: Has no clue what to do. While she was in captivity she rarely got majorly hurt. She quickly fetches Luz and Camila and asks them for advice. Camila is way more helpful than Luz. (also get ready for at least one hour of cuddles.)

Raine: They are so very worried about you :(. Since they led multiple rebel groups they have informed themselves on how to properly patch up a wound. Gives you painkillers when they can. Also helps you rest with a bard spell.

Eda: "Pretends to be all cold-hearted but actually cares a lot!" She has bought potions to help heal people so she gives you one of them. After you fully healed she cuddles with you in her nest. She's in harpy mode and has her wings wrapped around you.

Emira: She can heal you herself. So she isn't really worried at all. She gives you a lot of kisses though. 10/10 would recommend as a caretaker.

Edric: He panics. Hard. He gives you healing potions like Eda. You do heal pretty quickly (especially compared to how much he panicked.) He does baby you even a week after you fully heal-

The Collector: They can just heal you with a snap of their fingers lmao.

Lilith: She is actually pretty calm. In the same vein as Raine and Hunter, she used to basically be second in command of the Emperor's coven. So she calmly patches you up. While lecturing you to be more careful.

Gus: Very sad to see you hurt. He swiftly gets one of his friends. Most likely Willow. Gives you so many hugs.

✰ when she found out she was partnered with you for the school project she ran home and dived onto her bed

✰ screamed into her pillow like there was no tomorrow

✰legs flailing and everything

✰ part of her was dreading working with you incase she did something wrong

✰ and the other part of her was swooning at the idea of spending more time with you

✰ eda was giving the worst advice ever like holy-

✰king declared himself the 'king of wingmen' and decided to help Luz in her flustered state

✰Luz asked around the school what your favourite food was so she could have it ready for when you came round

✰hooty was banished from speaking to you

✰poor fella

✰gave you a house tour and rambled on about all the intricate details due to her nerves

✰she got that neurodivergent swag

✰could not sit still the whole time you two were studying

✰was very interested in the topic but would bounce on the bed whilst you read out loud to her

✰king kept appearing in the room to try and wingman

✰was kicked out before he could make significant damage

✰lots of blushing and awkward giggles

✰was fumbling over her words so bad

✰all in all you two barely passed bc you both either got distracted or were interrupted by the other residents of the owl house

✰definitely got closer to each other though and you both are excited for the next school project

✰she was so ready for this

✰school was her thing, and doing something school related, with you?? she was thrilled

✰planned the entire evening so you both would have time to study, complete the project, eat and engage in conversation

✰wouldn't mind doing the project at her house, but would much prefer doing it at yours

✰if you both went to her house she would grab your hand (bold move, her heart was racing) and literally run to her room to avoid contact with her family

✰could not avoid her siblings however, as they were waiting in her room for you two

✰they teased the two of you like crazy

✰amity literally tackled them out of her room and barricaded the door

✰rough start, but we perceiver

✰you two 100% passed with top marks because our girl was not letting you fail on her watch

✰got briefly distracted as she thought about maybe asking you out for future study dates

✰she tried to ninja her way down the stairs to with you to get some food and take it back up to her room but her dad caught you both

✰just nodded at you in acknowledgment and instructed that you both didn't stray from the task you'd been given from your teachers

✰ate in her room and talked for a good while

✰she had conversation starters on little flash cards

✰"so, y/n, what is your favourite subject?" listens so intently at your answer

✰gave you a kiss on the cheek as you left

✰10/10 would study with again

✰and that kiss sparked a blossoming relationship :)

✿Willow Park✿-

✰told her dads about her nervous she was about you coming round for the project

✰they were excellent hype men

✰when you entered her home it was a very welcoming atmosphere

✰she gave you a bouquet of your favourite flowers

✰"I got you some flowers, I hope you like them :)!"

✰you spoke to her dads for the first 15ish minutes

✰guided you to her room with a hand on the mid-section of your back

✰she gave you her comfiest pillow and blanket

✰put the flowers in a vase while you two studied

✰you both had a pretty good balance of working and having fun talking

✰definitely passed with at least a B+

✰once you both finished the project you laid down on her bed and you both just stared at each other as you spoke about whatever was on each others minds

✰her dads helped organise a future hangout between the two of you

✰gave you the biggest bear hug before you left, and gave you the vase and flowers

✰very wholesome experience, it went very well

☘︎Gus Porter☘︎-

✰had his fists clenched to his chest and a very wobbly straight lipped expression on his face when he found out

✰he was trying not to look flustered

✰very awkward organising process, but it was cute watching him move his hands around like an insane person as he forced words out of his mouth

✰was stood outside his front door waiting for you to arrive

✰opened the door for you and stood to the side as he gestured you in

✰a true gentlemen

✰his closet was bursting to open because he'd thrown all his human nicknacks into it beforehand so his room would look less messy

✰pulled your chair out for you at his desk

✰he's trying so hard to impress you it's so cute

✰info dumped about the subject and you were astonished at how much information he knew

✰he did a lot of research before you came over to appear smart

✰you two would get distracted a lot but always found your way back to the project

✰passed, and that's all that matters

✰checking every five minutes that you're comfortable

✰"are you sure you're comfortable? I can get you another pillow if you'd like!"

✰just an absolute sweetheart, when you left after giving him a hug goodbye he collapsed onto the floor and just melted into it

✰phoned Luz and Willow to tell them every little detail

✰squealed once or twice whilst talking about it

✰'twas a lovely experience, 10/10

乂Hunter乂-

✰had no idea what he was doing

✰look he's just getting into this whole 'school' thing, and now he has to work with you?? how will he prove himself a worthy suitor if he's in uncharted territory

✰literally barged into the owl house in full blown panic mode

✰Luz told him to just be himself, and gave some good advice about how study sessions and projects normally go

✰eda teased the hell out of him and he was RED

✰went round your house cause he's kinda homeless

✰was stood like this🧍‍♂️when you opened the door

✰forgot how to breathe a good few times

✰he was determined to impress you with his knowledge, and would literally beam whenever you slightly complimented him

✰after a while he got more comfortable and was able to have some good banter with you and ease up a bit

✰was still very aware of his movements and actions, but was able to calm the tension in his body down and speak more freely

✰you both did that cliche where you reached for the same pen and your hands collided in the middle

✰"ah-! I'm sorry, no, you take the pen, I didn't mean to invade your personal space like that or take your things." give him a hug wtf

✰his fingers felt all tingly afterwards

✰you reassured him that you didn't mind at all, and found his apology to be really sweet

✰you both passed!

✰as he left your house for the night he blurted out "we should do this again! soon!", nodded his head quite violently and then bolted

✰you guys did do it again and it was great :)

⁂Edalyn Clawthorne⁂-

✰this is the only time she actually did her work istg

✰was unbelievably nervous but did not let it show

✰when you arrived at her house she opened the door, put her elbow against the frame, put one leg in front of the other and smirked at you

✰she then lost her balance and fell but we don't talk about that

✰gave you a tour of her home, and you said hello to Lilith before going up to her room

✰was really struggling to focus but she tried so hard cause she didn't want you to fail because of her

✰if you have hair, she would end up randomly grabbing a bit of it and messing with it absentmindedly

✰or she would grab your poke you at random times and then smile at you when you looked up, denying that she ever poked you in the first place

✰a menace

✰used many pathetic pickup lines on you, with full confidence it would woo you

✰it did but that's a you problem

✰you both barely passed tbh, but she was chuffed with herself when she heard about your grade

✰asked you on a date at the end and you said yes

✰almost cried out of joy to Lilith when you left

✰very calm and collected when they found out they were partnered with you

✰just very happy abt it

✰stares at you whilst you work out who's house you'll be going to and what time you'll get there with love in their eyes

A Song For Little Ears

(Platonic) Raine Whispers x Child!Reader

Summary: Raine finds a child and deicides to care and raise them.

The day Raine found young (Y/N) was cold and dark. The isle was on a verge of spitting up another one of it's nasty storms of boiling rain. As Raine ran down the streets of Bonesborough, they already saw fellow witches outside casting protective spells on their homes in hopes to protect it from the hurtful weather.

As Raine ran past an alley, almost to their house as the rain started to fall, they heard a noise. This wasn't just any noise, but a cry. From the sound of the cry, it was obvious that it had to have been an infant or young child. Raine looked around cautiously, making sure this wasn't anyone's trick to lure witches in. When they decided it was safe, they slowly and carefully walked down the alleyway. There they saw a woven basket on the ground by a stack of crates.

Getting closer, Raine saw a infant in which couldn't be more then a year old. The small child was covered in a blue blanket, which had beautifully stitched stars and constellations. It wasn't an uncommon thing for mother's to put their children up for adoption, but just abandoning them was abnormal.

Raine knew that it would start pouring soon, hurting both them, and the small child. With that in mind, Raine made the decision they thought was best in that moment. That was taking the small child with them, planning on taking the child to the emperors coven after, in hopes of finding someone to take care of the infant.

At this time Raine didn't particularly want a child holding them down, but they had to admit. The child they now held in their arms was very cute. Raine could never forget when the baby looked at them for the first time. The boiling isles seemed to stop, for just a moment when they looked in the child's eyes.

That was one of the few reason Raine decided to keep young (Y/N). There wasn't many good reasons for Raine to keep a child at such a young age, but they had their reasons that were more important then any logical reason Raine should not adopt the infant. Raine didn't even know how to take care of a baby, but that didn't stop them. Hell, Eda didn't even think it was a good idea, and she was the queen of making bad choices!

There was much trial and error with (Y/N), but Raine fought through every one. Weather that be sleep deprivation, colic, and even worries for (Y/N) when their small body falls while trying to sit up for walk. Although there's all those little happy moments that make up for the big bad ones.

It was early in the morning. Raine had just awoken from a hard night, (Y/N) had been crying almost all night long. Raine had no clue why, they were stuck by (Y/N)'s crib, trying to figure out why she was still crying. Eventually (Y/N) did fall asleep, although so did Raine. Raine had fallen asleep next to (Y/N)'s crib sitting in a rocking chair, the top of his body hanging over the top of the crib.

Raine, still halfway asleep, felt something pulling on their hair. Well, a certain someone pulling on his hair... Opening their eyes, they saw the precious face of (Y/N). Raine smiled as (Y/N) tiny fingers weaved through Raine's hair. They thought that this would be a cute moment, that was before (Y/N) pulled on Raine's hair rather harshly for a baby. The combination of a tight grip and surprising strength for a baby was not good in this moment.

Raine immediately pulled back at the pain of having his hair pulled out by a baby. Raine held the part of their head that was brutally assaulted by baby hands. That was when they heard the giggle of (Y/N). Raine glared at (Y/N) slightly, hearing the baby's laugh. (Y/N) giggled more at Raine's look, it was almost insulting!

Looking at (Y/N)'s face, Raine knew they couldn't stay mad at them. Raine sighed, the frustration leaving their body hearing (Y/N)'s giggles. They smiled, picking (Y/N) up. As soon as Raine had done this (Y/N)'s hands were on his face, squishing Raine's cheeks. Raine laughed holding (Y/N) close.

Raine's all time favorite memory of them and (Y/N) was one night when (Y/N) woke up in the middle of the night, wailing. Raine sighed hearing (Y/N)'s cries, "Looks like its gonna be another hard night.." Raine said to themself. Raine dragged their feet to (Y/N)'s crib, picking (Y/N) up and mumbling comforts.

Raine rubbed (Y/N)'s back, hoping (Y/N) would just go to sleep. Suddenly, a light bulb went off in Raine's head. Raine sat (Y/N) back in their bed. (Y/N) wails grew louder when Raine sat them down. Raine summoned his violin, beginning to play soft melodies. (Y/N)'s crying ceased, sniffles only being heard now.

Raine played a common lullaby, humming along with it and closing their eyes. They continued playing for a few minutes, until the song finished. Raine opened their eyes, they were immediately relieved to see (Y/N) asleep. Making their instrument disappear, they leaned into the crib kissing (Y/N)'s head before going back to bed themselves.

raine will talk you through your frustrations and try to help rephrase/reorganise things to help you be able to focus easier on the topic at hand

eda will comfort you and offer to help you take a break and cause mayhem so you can get out your frustrations on something more fun

if you need to stim to focus then they’ll go and fetch you objects to help you do that — grabbing things from the market or the human realm based on what you said helps you the most

regarding hyperactivity: eda will match your energy and will help you get out your energy through fun semi-productive ways

magic, training, hiking, fetching stuff to sell and so on

similarly, raine will engage with you and will help you find things to do during periods like this

though they’re more chilled out than eda and won’t be able to match your energy as much

your impulsivity has been known to give raine several mini heart attacks — in the same vein that eda’s impulsivity does

they prefer to plan things out and figure out what they’re doing beforehand whilst you and eda will just dive into activities head first with neither plan nor sense

it terrifies them at times, but they love you both too much to not put up with all of the grey hairs you’re giving them

and, as mentioned, eda will join you in whatever last minute activity you decided to do because she enjoys fun and impulsiveness

which is great for you two, not so good for raine’s longevity

but, in short, these two are incredibly supportive and empathetic partners who make great efforts to understand and support you with your adhd and will provide you with every resource they can to help you where you need it

Moonlight Au-Prologue

Raine jogs down the the street in an attempt to beat the boiling rain home, when they suddenly hear... Crying? The noise seems to me coming from an alleyway they had just passed and they stop their pursuit. They peer around the corner cautiously and lay eyes on the last thing they would suspect; a child. "Oh my Titan," gasps Raine, startling the no older than 6 year old kid, sat in the far corner. As the kid flinches in surprise at their sudden appearance, Raine heat breaks in two. "A child?!" Thought Rain to themselves, "Alone, in an alleyway in this weather, at all!"

They took a small step towards the child, getting a look of fear in return, making Raine frown. "I'm not going to hurt you, I promise sweetheart," says Raine as calmly and as sweetly as possible, trying not to scare the child more, but is quite terrified themselves. Raine's terror only increases as the feel the first few drops of the scorching hot rain fall from the gray, ominous sky. Raine casts a spell, protecting themselves from the rain, and rushes towards the child, not wanting them to get hurt. The child shrinks as small as they can, letting out a muffled sobb, clearly terrified.

"Hey, its okay sweetie, I'm just trying to help," Raie say quietly, stopping their movement once try are close enough to the child to cover them in the spell completely. Raine looks into their eyes with a look filled with worry and sympathy, receiving a look of pure shock and increasing trust from the child. Raine smiles at the look I the child's emerald green eyes and speaks their next sentence softly, "The rain is supposed to last a few days, if you want," Raine takes a deep breath before speaking again, "you could stay at my house until the rain is over... Or for as long as you need to?" Emotions fade in and out of the childs eyes, never lasting for longer than a second as they seemingly consider their offer, before nodding slowly, their eyes finally landing on a look of partial trust and a look that says their desperate. Raine smiles and scoops up the kid in their arms, reassuring them while they quickly walk to their house, not knowing how much longer the spell will last.

Once Raine makes it inside their house, the child still in their arms, they set set them down gently on the couch, only to realize they were dead asleep. Raine chuckles softly, grabbing the closet blanket and covering them up with it, a sweet smile on their face while they do so. After covering the child with a blanket, they start a fire in the fireplace, before sitting down next the the child, wanting to be there when they wake up to avoid any panic attacks or meltdowns. Within minutes they find themselves nodding off and they try to fight it, but the sound of the rain and the fireplace going in the background, they inevitably fall asleep.

You two have been dating for a good year now as you two found your little things to do in each other presents. While Raine would practice their music you would be doing all sorts of art.

As you guys were going through this routine again they had notice you knitting. "You never told me you knew how to knit" "Oh well yeah my father actually taught me".

The conversation grew to you teaching them how to knit. And Raine thought it would be easy at first seeing how you would do it but was she wrong.

You did have to patch up some of their cuts, leaving kisses. But practice does make perfect as you both made a blanket where you did just end up giving to Raine ad a reward.

"This is amazing, not as good as you" "Well thank you Raine but I think you are good aswell" "Thanks but I wouldn't be surprised if you knew how to crochet" "Want to learn?".

You smiled as Raine look at you shocked, "Well if you mention it" "This is one of the reasons I love you Raine" "Same here".

Parent! Raine Whispers & Baby! Reader

Warnings: None Word Count: 0.7k Pronouns: They/Them Notes: Tysm for the request! This was really fun to write! I love writing Parent Raine! I couldn't see the link, so I hope I did this well!

I haven't gotten to the header yet :(

Raine Whispers. Head of the Bard coven. They were known for being timid and easily unnerved. They struggled socially, their stage fright getting the best of them most of the time. You would never have believed someone like that would be the head of the Bard coven of all things, but there they were. They didn’t like eyes to be on them 24/7, they didn’t like the attention and they didn’t like putting themselves in situations where they would get said attention, but as of late, they have been making an exception.

Y/n.

Y/n was the child they had alone in a basket in the middle of nowhere a couple of months ago and they decided to take them in. They couldn’t just leave them there. They along with the BATS were taking turns caring for them, as they decided that they were going to raise them as their own. The BATS along with Raine were the only people who knew, nobody else could be trusted with this at the moment, not even Darius or Everwolf.

If this got out, Raine wouldn’t know what to do or what would happen. But what they were sure of, is that Y/n would be taken away by the Emperor, and they wouldn’t allow that. They hadn’t been taking care of them long, but they just knew that they had to be with them, that with them, is where they belonged and could live their best life.

They had set up a little room for Y/n right in the room over from theirs. It was usually hidden, not to let anybody who decided to snoop get the right idea. They were often out with the BATS during the day but were cared for by Raine during the night.

Raine awoke to the sound of crying, ear-piercing crying. They stumbled awake, sitting up in their bed, they felt a nervous rush travel through their body as their mind started cycling through worst-case scenarios. They stumbled out of bed and summoned their violin, running to where Y/n resided, holding it like a baseball bat, ready to knock out anybody who happened to be in their room.

As they came through the door, they soon noticed that nobody was in there. As they looked around, they soon realized that their worrying had been for nothing, as nothing in the room looked out of place or messed with. There was just Y/n crying in their crib. They dropped their Violin as it vanished into thin air to soothe them and hopefully, get them back to sleep.

"Oh no! Y/n? Are you okay sweetie?" Raine fretted as they pick you up and shush you. They bounce you up and down as they rub their back. Y/n continues to cry as they are soothed, not seeming like they would stop crying anytime soon.

Raine doesn't know what's wrong, they were just fed a while ago, and everything else seemed to be okay unless they weren't noticing something. As they continued to bounce them, they continued to think of what may be wrong, what may be causing them to cry like this. Raine looked around the room, trying to see if they could find something to make them feel better when their eyes landed on the harp that made its home on Raine’s wrist, their Coven Sigil.

“Oh, I think I know what you want,” Raine grinned as they summoned their violin back again. “Right Y/n? Do you want the pretty sounds?”

Y/n stared at Raine with their big eyes focused on the harp, their screams not echoing across the room anymore. Raine just chuckled as they began playing. They played a song that Raine was very familiar with, it happened to be their best song. They started singing to Y/n as their eyes grew heavy with every individual strum. Hearing the coos and laughs from Y/n put a smile on Raine’s face, so this is what being a parent is like. They liked it, They loved being able to be a part of Y/n’s life like this. They loved that they were the one to be able to soothe their child like this.

As the song ended, Raine noticed that Y/n had fallen back asleep. Raine just smiled as they tucked them back in, bringing their little stuffie closer to them as they rolled over to grab it. They kissed them on the forehead before leaving the room and heading back to their own.

“Goodnight my little songbird,” Raine said lovingly as they closed the door.

Hanahaki Disease (花吐き病)

For those that don't know Hanahaki Disease is a fictional disease where a person spits up flower petals if they like somebody/ have found who they think is their soulmate. As time goes on the petals turn to full fledged flowers growing from the heart. If the love is one-sided then the person chokes to death on the flowers, the petals filling their lungs. If it's mutual the disease fades away.

Platonic soulmates spit up their partners/friends petals. They are non-dangerous but the petals can rot or wilt over time if the relationship fades. Y/N sits, staring across the Boiling Isles below them. They heard footsteps, and turned, welcoming the Collector to sit with them.

"Good evening, Collector. What are you doing up?"

"..Raine said I was in danger, so I looked at King and.."

"Oh," Y/N forced remorse onto their face, but quickly replaced it with surprise. "W-Wait, Raine?"

"Ah- There they are. Look, Raine! It's your paaartnerr~!"

Y/N stood up so forcefully the Collector jumped.

"Hey!- What're you-"

"Raine. Walk with me."

"N-No, maybe I should stay with-"

"Nahh, go on! They've been complaining and complaining over how much they missed you for days!"

"I really should-"

Y/N grabbed Raine by the forearm and dragged them behind as Y/N took quick, determined steps. They shove the bard head into an alcove of the balcony where the Collector can't see the pair, and grab them by the collar.

"Who are you?" Y/N growls. "You aren't my Raine."

There is still silence, and the imposter furrows their brows.

"I don't know what your talking about."

"He'll you don't."

Y/N uses their slight height advantage over the body of their partner and lifts them from the ground easily, pinning them to the wall. The blue reflecting in their glasses isn't Raine. When their hands grip at Y/N's forearm, Y/N can tell immediately.

"See? Not Raine." They feel tears in their eyes but blink them away. Using their other hand, they grab Raine's wrist and twist it off, displaying it to the eerie blue.

"Fake. I don't know who... or what you are.." they have to cut themselves off with a sob, and the blue flickers briefly.

"Y/N... I..." The voice is soft, pleading, but changes again to dismissive. "I think you need a break. I'll alert the Collector."

The sea-haired witch wrenches themself away, with a small glance back as their feet don't falter rhythm. The blue is gone for barely a breath, but Y/N catches the sickly color of green inching farther up Raine's neck. Y/N inhales, and steps out after them.

They couldn't waste their time crying over someone who wasn't lost yet.

It was the middle of the night when you awoke. Sweat pooled on your forehead as you breathed in short shallow breaths. Your knuckles turned pale as you gripped the bed sheets. You had just had one of the worst nightmares of your life. Listen, you knew logically it wasn't real. But that thought didn't change how real it felt in the moment. With wobbly legs, you hopped out of bed.

You turned on the hallway light and opened your parent's door. That parent being the Raine Whispers, head of the Bard coven. They adopted you when you were just a baby so you don't (or rather can't) remember life before them. Raine woke up due to the light falling on their face. "Hey, honey what's up?" They asked. "I ha-had a nightmare." You said voice shaking. "Oh come here, kiddo." They patted the spot by them. You climbed into the bed. You quickly hugged your parent tightly. Raine sighed and rubbed comforting circles on your back. "Wanna talk about it?" They asked. You paused and shook your head slightly. "That's okay."

You hugged them for a few more moments before speaking. "Raine." "Yes, honey?" "Can you sing me a lullaby?" They smiled. "Of course." They summoned their instrument. They played a calming melody. You were slowly lulled to sleep. Having nice dreams for the rest of the night.

Eda is autistic too so I imagine she is good at keeping you calm, she has a natural uncaring attitude to her I feel like it’d be easy to calm you down in anxiety inducing situations. A promise she will always protect you always helps. Good at dealing with any issues you may have, such as sensory issues.

"came down rainstorm they will be ok you know I didn't think they would run off like that though am I really that scarry" Eda asked looking at the small pial of paper on the small table in her living room.

"you stay here I'll go find them"eda smiled kissing Raine on the cheek before leaving Owlburt.

it didn't take long to find you sitting beside an old tree head resting on your knees it was then she had gotten a good look at you.

"kid?" Eda called out making you jump a little.

"hmm" was your response. You noticed how she sat down beside you but left a little room between the both of you.

"y you want to adopt me "your voice broke tears welled up in your eyes,

"of course, rainstorm told me about you and how they wanted you to come live in the owl house with them and sooo Raine asked me you could live with us too and so i thought why not adopt you." at this point you were crying your tears socked the off white paper as you singed the papers giving them back to eda.

"t thank you s so much"you whipped your eye on your cloak.
