I bought myself a #gravelbike / #racerbike a couple of months ago. Initially I was a bit disappointed as there were a couple of things right out of the gate - but the seller made amends for those things and I ended up quite happy. A couple of weeks ago I noticed a wobble in my rear tire, and it was probably because I ran over something at too great a speed. After some inspections and testing, I figured out it was the tire itself, so that got replaced today. A bit proud.

Normally I don't cycle long distances very often but because I have been pretty much bored this summer, I decided to take some rides on my bike and see some places on Funen that I either haven't seen before or visited in a very long time. Normally I only cycle 3-4 km when I'm out shopping for groceries from time to time. I don't own a fine and fancy racerbike or something like that. I just own a 2015 Nishiki Hybrid Race Comp D with hydraulic disc brakes front and rear and 24 gears. The basket is one that I have found on the street and put on when I really needed something to have my stuff in when I am out shopping. As you can see, the spokes are green and blue, these are reflectors bought on eBay.

Yes, I know it's a lady's bike, but I inherited it from my mother after she past away. My old bike (which I had for 14 years) could no longer, so I decided to take hers bike instead. The bike does the work!

However in July I set a goal that I should have cycled at least 500km when the date hit August 4th. On the 5th of August I could then announce that I had cycled 708 km from July 4th to August 4th

This month I have only cycled 104 km in total for now, I would like to cycle some more but because lack of time and being busy I haven't found the time for long rides, yet! I do however have planned some long rides. When I'm out on my bike I don't think about how long I cycle or where I go. I try to follow my planned routes but you know - sometimes there is road or something else that I go my attention, so I cycle down there, hah. The green pin shows where I start and the red pins is where I finished my rides.

I'm a little bit proud of myself, especially because I'm a pretty big and overweight guy. I can not see or feel that I have lost myself, but there are some people who say I have.

However, I can feel that I have gotten a better resting heart rate and have gotten in better shape. I have always been used to cycling as I have always cycled when I had to go somewhere, but there have been periods of my life where I have not really gotten on the bike, so getting started cycling long distances has not really been a problem.

I'm also pretty impressed that none of my tires have been punctured or there have been other issues with my bike when you think about how far I have cycled.

I'm sorry for my bad English.
