New Year Post

Honestly I don't think 2023 was the worst year. If I had to name it, that'd be 2020. Compared to the darkness and the fear and the stress, 2023 was pretty normal. But it wasn't easy and I know that I'm also looking back rosy on it, because of the New Year energy.

I want to do better this year. Break old mindsets and build new ones. I want to feel better, and I'm going to try.

Jan 1 - 2, 2024

Started the year off right with discord calls with friends. We always ring in the New Year together, whether reminiscing or playing games. And last night we just kinda vibed and worked creatively until well after Midnight.

There's something so special about being able to sit in silence with someone. Just take comfort in their presence, and be free to simply exist.

If anything is a New Year Resolution for me, I want to spend more time idly with my friends.

The longer the day goes on, the more Bojan seems like himself again, awake and active and talking, talking, talking- … and it should annoy Kris, it really should. It did, just a few months back but there’s none of that now.

I relate to both of them so hard in this scene, I too talk a lot all the time always and I too absolutely adore listening to the people I love talk :D

I think that could certainly be interesting! Though whether he actually learns anything is definitely up to the author.

Plus, it would be interesting to see what he does with certain information he got while seeing this "bad" timeline. I mean he essentially saw the future, a future. He now has future knowledge and can mess with time how he sees fit.

Harringrove Week: Day 3

Song of the Day, Modern Edition: All Too Well (10 minute version)

Someone had to do a Harringrove version of All Too Well (10 minute version) and I guess it had to be me. 

Basically I had the idea of Steve remembering (and all too well for that matter) his time together with Billy before he died. Some parts are from Billy's perspective since I though they fit him better so they kind of share the song. 

It goes something like this: Billy is dead and Steve starts remembering what they went through leading up to Billy’s death, their first meeting, their initial rivalry, how they started dating, and how Billy opened up to Steve about his past yet somehow was still unable to say ‘I love you’ and how they got into their first big fight about it. 

Finally Steve finds out the reason behind Billy’s inability to showcase a more tender side, that being Billy’s abusive father. In order to protect him Steve starts dating Nancy and Billy is incredibly hurt. Steve realizes his mistake and goes to apologize but Billy is still very much hurt and his vulnerability leads him to be infected by the mind flayer. Steve is determined to save his boyfriend and travels to the Upside Down to do so. 

 However, Billy is still very much traumatized from the whole ordeal and pushes Steve away, meanwhile doing his own remembering, like the times Steve asked him to say I love you and the time he spent in the Upside Down. In the end Billy chooses to sacrifice himself to save the ones he loves and remembers Steve’s last touch on his cheek.
