Mob! Natasha x fem! reader

Summary: You changed, not wanting to be a slave to the women who said she loved you and that didn't sit right with Natasha.

Warnings: kindnapping, cheating, angst, fluff, Slapping, Aguring, illegal activities, Mentions of sub/ Dom dynamics, toxic relationships, cursing.

A name known by the world- Natalia Alianovna Romanova shorten name Natasha Romanoff, professionally know as Black widow...

A woman who was feared by many, but was hard to be seen. She was known for her intelligence, a master at escaping sticky situations easily. She's a quick thinker and is always one step ahead of her enemies, a master of disguise and can blend into any environment with ease. An expert at lockpicking, hacking, and surveillance and many more illegal activities. Her resourcefulness and creativity have gotten her out of many tight spots. Natasha is not afraid to take risks, but is also very calculated in her actions, which allows her to avoid getting into situations that she cannot handle. Overall, Natasha is a highly skilled and cunning women who can escape even the stickiest of situations, every single time.

She knew what she wanted and was not afraid to go after it. Her strength and determination made her a force to be reckoned with, and many people respected her for it. Despite the challenges she faced as a woman in a male-dominated world, she refused to let anyone stand in her way. She was a true inspiration to many criminals and has secured her place as one of the most powerful women of her time. She has built a vast criminal empire through her intelligence, resourcefulness, and sheer determination. Natasha is a charismatic leader who commands respect and loyalty from her followers. A skilled negotiator, able to make deals that benefit her organization while minimizing risk. Despite her success, Natasha is not afraid to get her hands dirty, and is known for her ruthlessness when dealing with those who cross her.

She is a master of manipulation and is able to use her charm to get what she wants. Her criminal empire is a testament to her power and influence. She is a true queenpin in the world of organized crime. Her empire climbing it's way to the top, untouched, thousands of people in the palm of her hand, many in the law itself.

Now you, a stunning 25-year-old women who was born into a wealthy family. You grew up in a mansion in the countryside of England and was surrounded by luxury your entire life. Your parents were successful mob people who provided you with everything you could ever want, from designer clothes to exotic vacations. You were always interested in the family business and spent most of your childhood learning about the criminal organization and how it operates. You were natural at business and quickly rose through the ranks after joining the network full-time. You were soon promoted to be the leader, making you one of the youngest in the industry.

Despite your success in business, you struggled to find true happiness. You felt like you were living in your parents' shadow and that there accomplishments were not truly your own. You also found it difficult to form genuine relationships with people, as you felt like they were only interested in you because of your wealth, status or body. When you resigned your parents weren't so happy however they supported your decision and decided to take back control of the company again. You were they top priority and you being that got you into a muddle, the muddle that led you to the love of your life.

The black widow herself.

The women who stalked you, held you hostage, manipulated you, played awful mind games with you until you gave in. Your parents were ambitious people, rising in the ranks of the crime world, threatening Natasha's organization in a attempt to gain more power. This didn't please the women in anyway what so ever. She devised a plan, to scare them off. That's were you came in, she did heavy research on your parents, witnessesing how much they cherish you. How they called you constantly, sent you money and presents daily, had family dinner dates every sunday, and how they celebrated all your achievements by throwing humongous parties, attended by hundrends of people. Taking in the information she sought out to capture you, use you as a trade off. Your parents get you and back off, or you die. The time she spent monitoring you she developed a deep admiration for you, she found you very attractive, smart and kind, she loved the way you helped out whenever you could. How can a girl so sweet be born into such a dangerous world?

Natasha would make a deal with your parent's but play them. She wanted you and you is what she'll get.

One of the celebrations is how she got you, sending teammates out to retrieve you, while she watched over the operation for her office. Clint barton, one of her most trusted members, slipped passed security, while Natasha bypassed cameras, and followed you into bathroom, drugging you with chloroform. Texting Wanda, he told her cut the lights so he could sneak out your limp form out.

The night you went missing, there was extreme uproar, everyone was worried sick, you were loved by everyone in that community.

That same night you woke up in an unfamiliar room, feeling disoriented and confused. quickly realizing that you had been held captive. Your head aches, and you feel weak and sore , realizing that you are tied to a chair. As you take in your surroundings, you realized that your is in a tiny room with no windows and a single door. You tried to scream for help, but you your avail no one. The grey, steel door opens with a loud creek, a silhouette walking in.

"So you're awake now" the person says, their voice low and menacing. You struggle against your restraints, trying to sit up, but the metal bars and the tight bindings keep you in place.

"Who are you? What do you want from me?" You asked, trying to keep your voice steady, sweat dripping from your forehead. The figure leans in, their face hidden in the shadows.

"Your love" they hissed out.

You were taken aback, completely unprepared for that statement. It felt like your brain was short-circuiting, trying to figure out what to say or do. You started to stutter, trying to find the words to respond.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, you managed to blurt out, "Excuse me, my love!? I don't even know you!"

You sat there, still trying to process what had happened. It felt like such a sudden and unexpected turn of events, and you couldn't wrap your head around it. You were expecting for an amount off money to be said, not something about love?

"No, I wont take no as an answer, your life is on the line, if yes then you live, live a happy life with me, no and I'll kill you in the most blood curdling, violent, sick way possible"

As you sat in that room, your body tensed up as you heard the words coming out of your kindnappers mouth. You could feel your heart drop into your stomach, fear coursing through your veins, feeling like you were going to pass out. You tried to speak, but the words wouldn't come out. Your mouth was dry, you could feel the tears starting to well up in your eyes. You had to find a way to survive, and that meant sacrificing yourself, your body, your soul.

"O-okay" you quaked. Before you knew it a bright flash blinded you.

"At least your parents know you'll live" their voice sounded feminine but you weren't sure.

"Did you just take a picture!?!" You shouted.

"Mhm, my love" they hummed out.

" 'My love' is a bit soon don't you think" you said, tone filled with vemon, raising a eyebrow.

This mystery person hidden in the shadows, stepped forward, their footsteps echoing in the dimly lit room. The figure stops, and a silence falls over the room as the figure reveals their true form, a beautiful woman. Her hair shines in the dim light, like a river of silk, and her skin glows with an otherworldly luster. You could feel the blood rushing to my face as you took in her beauty. She stepped closer, her eyes locked on yours, and for a moment, you felt like you were in a trance.

"No, I don't think so, my love, Natasha Romanoff is the name, you might of heard of me? " she said with a condescending tone, raising a eyebrow back at you.

"Fucking hell" you mutter under your breath, blush growing. "I know you" you gulped hard.

"Good, you'll know me better soon" Natasha chulcked out, turning around a walking out the room, slamming the door behind you causing you to flinch.

She returned to her office, where she sent the picture you your parents and stuck up a deal, only to play your worried parents, receiving a hefty amount of money from them- 260 million to be exact in the first 20 minutes. Once she had most their money, she sent out a crew to destroy the rest of your parents organization leaving the with nothing, wanting to take all there valuables even though she had you.

She smiled at the request she sent out to her crew, looking at the macbook with intensity. She could now relax remaining number one, kicking up her legs on her large wooden desk she pondered in ways to make you like her back.

As you sat in the room, your thoughts racing through your head. She was attractive? Would she hurt you? Are your parents coming to get you, are they hurt? Suddenly, you heard the sound of light footsteps approaching, tensing up, heart pounding in your chest. The door to the room creaked open, and she walked over to you, a smirk spreading across her face, emerald eyes piercing into your soul.

"Hello, my darling," she said, her voice low and seductive.

You felt like you were going to be sick as she leaned in close to you, her breath hot on your face. "I know you're scared, but I promise, I won't hurt you, unless you give me a reason to" she said, her voice suddenly soft and gentle. "I just want to get to know you."

"Let me go," you muttered, your voice barely above a whisper.

She laughed, a deep, feminine laugh that sent a shiver down you spine. "I can't do that" her voice low and menacing once more. "Not until you love me"

....

As the days turned into weeks, and then months, you started to notice that her behavior towards you was changing. She would bring you food and water, instead of different staff, talk to you about shared interests, even sing lullabies as you slept. And slowly, against your will, you started to like Natasha – to enjoy her company, even to crave it. One day, you realized that you had fallen in love with Her. And so, when she offered to set you free and be hers to, you didn't hesitate. You went with the intoxicating woman, grateful.

That's how you got here, all dolled up, walking through the halls of one of the many luxurious mansion, she owned and used for work. Natasha had forgot her lunch today, and as the good little house girlfriend? (if you can call it that) you were, you decide to deliver it to her by hand, and surprise her with the new set of lingerie you had brought recently. She had been cold and standoffish lately. Natasha had blips like these, stress from work devouring her, and she got very upset over it, her fathers acts and words still linger with her to this day, despite the man being dead. He still had a hold on her, controlling Natasha and the way she displays her emotions. Her fathers ways intercepted your relationship, the man taught her that her future partner should serve her, worship her, be her slave. That's the persona she forced onto you, rules like no talking back, no contacting people that she hasn't approved off, no going out with out permission and more strict rules and discipline.

During these times, she wouldn't respond calls or messages, come home late, ignore you, not eat. All because she dove into work, untill She catches up with the load. At first you thought she was cheating on you, accusing her. Leading to a agurement, she proved her self with the security camera footage. After everything died down it took weeks for her to forgive you fully, to get back onto her good side. You thought that maybe sex might cheer her up, help get her mind off things, be her stress relief something you absolutely love.

The sound of your red high heels clicking against the marbel floor, filled the airy halls, your tight bodycon dress hugging all your curves prefectly, push up bra accentuating your boobs, make up flawless. You looked drop dead nervous. Finding the meeting room that Clint told you to go to, having pervious meeting with her, you poped your head into the large area to make sure the coast was clear. The sight before you broken your heart into a million pieces.

Natasha had a girl sat on the large oak conference table, grabbing onto her thighs whilst in between her legs, giving her love bites. She looked like shs was enjoying herself, the way she closed her eyes and moaned along with the woman. You could feel the anger and pain simmering inside you as you watched, eyes narrowed in disgust. How could she do this to you? How could she betray you in this way?Something inside you snapped. The pain turned to rage, walking away with tears brimming your eyes. You walked pasted many people, everyone stared at you, wondering what got you so riled up. You walked in a fast annoyed pace and threw her lunch into the one of the metal trashcans once you reached outside. As you got ready to drive away the engine of your supercar revving loudly, you checked yourself out in the front mirror. Your massacre was smudged all down your cheeks, but you still looked so dam hot. Putting on your versace sunglasses, you sped out of there. The drive was one of the most painful things you had ever experienced, the silence was loud.

Natasha got home around 3 hours after you. You were just packing the last suitcase of yours, when hearing her voice ring through out the mansion.

"My love I'm home!" She seemed to be in a better mood, huh wonder why, maybe that Girl made her feel better. You rolled your eyes not responding, stuffing more of you items into the the case. Zipping up the luggage you grabbed your keys, looking over you shoulder to see Natasha leaning against the door frame.

"Whatcha doing hunny?" she asked confused.

"Enjoy Natasha, Enjoy her" you said in harsh tone.

Natasha didn't need anymore information to know what you were talking about.

"I will" she answered in a soft tone, slightly smirking to herself.

"Bitch" you snapped back.

"What did you just call me?" She questioned, stepping forward, her eye brow raising. You stared at her, watching her get closer and closer, her face inches away from yours. You repeated the pharse again.

'Bitch' your voice seething.

She was silent for a few moments, before the face srunched up as she let a out a growl. In the Conner of your eye you saw a hand coming for you.

And then, without any warning, you felt a burning sensation on your check, stumbling backwards, your hand flying up to your cheek as you tried to process what had just happened. A smirk spreading across her face. You had been slapped by her. It was a humiliating experience, one that would stay with you for a long time.

"You've change y/n! " she yelled out at you.

"How Natasha, how !?! You the one whoring yourself out to somebody else! Your the one cheating!" Your were on the verge of a break down, your body was hot and flustered from the anger coursing through you body, nothing felt real.

"You talk back! You don't listen to my order's! And I saw you with your little dumb friends!" She was vexed, her baby hairs sticking to her tense face.

"Oh for goodness sake, I'm tried of being you little slave! I'm a person not something that you can treat as object! It's done!" you screamed before grabbing your suitcase and Storming out the house. Natasha didn't go after you, in her mind you would come crawling back soon, you needed her she was the only thing that kept you alive. Shoving the suitcase into the boot, along with all the other picese of language, you slammed it shut, getting into the drivers seat and driving off.

You thought to yourself on the drive, you would go to a friends house, but who? Scanning your brain, Wanda came to your mind. She lived far enough from Natasha and was another leader in the mob business, being able to provide protection. Pressing the buttons on the cars screen, you called up Wanda explaining the situation and asking if you could stay. Reaching the house you let out a big sigh, relief washing over you.

After breaking up with Natasha, It felt like you had no one. But thankfully, you had wanda. As you settled into her spare room, you knew that my life had changed forever. But you also knew that you were lucky – because Wanda was there and she cared about me, and was willing to help when you needed it the most.

And then, slowly but surely, you started to see her in a different light. You noticed the way the would make you coffee in the morning, the way she would always listen to your problems and make you feel heard. She even helped you find you parents again after such along time without seeing or speaking to them. They were doing okay, living comfortably, being able to pick themselves up after the attack that Natasha order, but retired not wanting anymore trouble.

As the days turned into weeks, and then months, you started to fall in love with wanda. You were scared – more scared than you'd ever been before, because you didn't want to ruin the precious friendship. But at the same time, you couldn't deny the feelings that had been growing stronger and stronger inside of you. One night, as you cuddled on the couch, watching a movie, Wanda seemed tense, taking a deep breath she spoke the words that you had been wanting to say for so long. "I know this might sound crazy," she said, voice barely above a whisper. "But I think I love you."

You thought you would pass out, getting very light headed, her eyes locked on yours. "I love you too," you smiled back, "And I've loved you for a long time." Your voice was so tender. She took your hand and you guys finished off the moive, but where to tried to wall to the bedroom, falling asleep in each other's arms.

As Natasha layed there, staring at the ceiling, she couldn't shake the feeling of guilt and regret that had been weighing on her since she cheated weeks ago. It was a mistake, a moment that she couldn't take back, and now, she missed you more than anything in the world. She tried to shove the feeling aside, to focus on the present, on the person who was sleeping beside her. They were kind and caring, but she couldn't shake the feeling of emptiness that had settled into her chest. It was like a gaping hole, a void that nothing could fill. And no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't stop thinking about you, about the life that you had built together and the love that had once existed between you. Maybe it was just nostalgia, a craving for a time that was gone and wouldn't ever come back. And yet, she missed you – your laugh, smile, and presence in her life.

Your words danced around her head, and thats when she realized that she was truly going crazy with out you.

She was going to get you back.

QUEENPIN SIMS 4 CHALLENGE

This is the QueenPin challenge by LLP and her community. You start off as a quiet and dutiful upper middle class housewife, when your spouse ruins your family with a risky stock market endeavor. Now it's up to you to provide for the family. With no formal education or trade to speak of, you can only rely on your wit and charisma to survive. Your suburban neighborhood is ripe with needs and you are willing to supply, in drugs. This challenge is meant to be played with the Basemental Drug Mod.

Where: Newcrest world. Make sure to fill in ALL the lots with homes and businesses. If you don't, you won't have any customers to sell to. (In the future I hope to be able to upload my Newcrest filled world save and link in the comments or another post.)

Jobs: The main character is a homemaker, no job. The spouse has recently been fired, also no job. They should start off with about 10k Simoleans, which they will invest into their newfound drug selling business.

They must have at least one computer in the home. The house can be as lavish or quaint as you want it. Be mindful of the bills coming in that you will need to pay for.

Next make the spouse. Aspiration:

Fortune: Fabulously Wealthy Any likes/dislikes of your choice.

Traits: -Materialistic -Self-Absorbed -Ambitious You can give them children if you want. Make sure one of their traits is either lazy or snobbish. OTHER SETTINGS: -Please select LONG life in the settings as growing the best quality cannabis takes a long time. -Add the Gardening trait to your property.

When you start the game, it will ask you if you want to add drug dealers, say Yes. You can now buy and then resell drugs you obtain from them. You may assign drug dealers and police officers in the neighborhood. Policy difficulty level is up to you.

Pro-tip: Turn of autonomous drug use for your main sim. If you don't, there's a very high chance that they'll get hooked on their own product(unless that's what you want to do).

Rules: No money cheats, except to fix starting funds to 10K. Main sim cannot have a regular salary job. If you want the spouse to work, only menial part time jobs allowed.

If you go to jail, please *remove* 1000 Simoleans from the household bank. You must LEGALIZE Cannabis use and sale!

To complete the challenge: -Earn 100K Simoleans

-Level 10 Charisma -Level 10 Gardening

-Level 10 Weed Dealing -Build and Open a dispensary

QOTS Rewatch - 5x04 - La Situacion

This episode isn't quite as hard for me to rewatch as 5x03 is, something about the scale of Teresa's moral failings isn't quite as severe as last episode, but it feels somehow out of place in the rest of the season and it's taken me a year to really figure out how to make sense of Teresa's character journey such that this episode actually makes sense to me. When you read my original debrief after watching live you can see I was clearly like ... wtf was that? What is going on with Teresa and what are they doing with her character? I've made sense of a lot of it now (and kind of processed it ad nauseam in my gifset reblog tags) but this is still in my opinion perhaps the weakest episode of the season.

I don't have a WHOLE lot to add to that original debrief, honestly. I think I captured it all pretty well and I'm still not entirely sure what the queenpin takeaway was. I know I keep saying that it would've made more sense for her journey to just be towards this chillier, stonier, inaccessible white queen rather than going down this snappy, brittle path. It is really hard to see her like this and it feels very out of character for someone who through all the trauma she's been through has always maintained an outer calm. Obviously the trauma has really kept piling on and she has a lot more to lose now than she did five seasons ago (and more people relying on her) so that's how I explain it to myself--her irritability and stress and all that. But it still feels jarring and uncomfortable. And since they never truly address it or have her apologize for it, it feels like a loose end.

I mean look: James was super irritable and gruff and snappy with her, too (I'm thinking about late season 2 especially), and I wish he'd apologized to her for it because she truly didn't deserve it. She wasn't doing anything to him back then that he wasn't doing to her here, which was stepping slightly out of line to challenge him. But James got his full redemption arc. James got all of season 3 to prove to her (and to us) that he loved her. More than anything. And that he'd literally die for her. He never apologized to her for his behavior towards her in late season 2 but it wasn't all that necessary story-wise because it was so obvious that he'd changed. She'd changed him. And he knew that and felt it deeply.

But there wasn't time in this short season for the full reverse arc to take place so we have to fill in a lot of those gaps on our own and assume it's meant to be understood this way. It all does happen eventually, in 5x07 on, and the more I've watched this season the more I do see it that way. It just doesn't really have a lot of time to truly settle that she's had this realization and it's changed her. I mean in some ways Teresa doesn't have to go through a full character transformation because she always was this person of integrity and heart. She's just here on the brink of losing it and then she luckily springs back from the edge.

A few other miscellaneous thoughts that I'm too disorganized to try to capture in a cogent way:

I do appreciate that this season humanizes Teresa to James. That he has to take her off the pedestal he's put her on and see her in all her flawed glory. How weird does it make me that I almost want to write a fic about some big retirement processing sessions where their trust issues flare up bc of the ways they've both treated each other unfairly in the past? Lol. Is that a fic genre?

Can we talk about the FBI plot for just a second and how they introduced it and wrapped it up within the span of a single episode? Whew, whiplash. They could've played that out a little bit longer as she continued expanding.

Speaking of the FBI, I realized on this rewatch that Lucien was way more deeply to blame in so much of the BS this episode than is really clear when you're just watching casually. He's the one that tipped off the FBI to her in the first place. It continues to piss me off how the havoc other people wreak becomes HER problem that SHE has to fix and somehow held accountable for.

And just in general: WHY are women held to SUCH FREAKING DOUBLE STANDARDS AT ALL TIMES???????

Just saying.

QUEEN OF THE SOUTH FINALE 5x10 POST-EP REACTION

spoilers! under! the cut!!!!!

holy fucking shit!! it’s over!!!! wow wow.

get ready for some ramble-y ass, v unorganized, first reactions to the finale, because i am wine drunk and emotional and still trying to get my heart down to a resting pulse and i have so many thoughts

- okay that was a damn gripping episode, i was on the edge of my damn seat the whole time. i went in with like 99% faith that teresa and james were gonna come out alive but they still had me STRESSED the whole damn time!!!! like even tho i was seeing the little signs throughout the episode that it was all a plan my heart was pounding like crazy!!

- i went into today thinking as long as teresa and james were alive in the end i would be happy but then rewatched a bunch of old episodes right before the finale and remembered that i did indeed care about pote and kellyanne and really actually would be upset if they had died, so i was quite stressed, especially for pote at the end!! when he’s fighting boaz!! which also! was super badass btw. all the sicarios backing off at the end!! lol at the random dude who save pote’s life by making boaz take the “sicario’s challenge” tho (which like? lol what?) like okay haha

- everyone loves chicho so much haha him and pote are so cute!!! i love how much chicho gave his all for pote and KA this episode, i’m sad he couldn’t come w them but it was SO CUTE to see chicho with marcel at the end!!! building a bunch of legit businesses and growing the PCCC!!! i love that journey for them.

- i really didn’t think pote was in on it because honestly i didn’t think he would be able to be that good of an actor (the character, not the actual actor, hemky is amazing lol) but i mean pote really pulled thru. he let all his damn emotions out for that performance cuz i was fully convinced he didn’t know until the end when it shows them telling him. actually i got an inkling when he was saying goodbye to marcel and chicho and gave marcel the ~gift~ from teresa lol.

- i do wish we had gotten more flashbacks because like when exactly did james figure out that devon was gonna order him to kill teresa? when did he tell her? did they figure it out together? teresa said she had a boat on standby for TWO YEARS does this mean the plan had been in place that long??? like before james left phoenix??????? or was the boat just always there and the plan came later??? idk tho. i watched 3.05 today and the “if they come for me, i’ll be ready” “if they come for you, I’LL be ready” REALLY HITS A LIL DIFFERENT NOW TBH what if james already had an inkling and when devon showed up that night it confirmed his suspicions.. and they started planning like. that night after they fucked. dude. idk the wheels are turning too fast in my brain rn. ik they probably just planned it this season after james was “let go” by devon and they knew it was too easy, and maybe just in the past couple weeks’ episodes. but who the fuck knows!!!

- i still wanna know how exactly they faked her death. no confirmation on the powder/ coke theory.. and no discussion of the coke habit if it was one. but if this was the long game situation and they’ve been planning all along.. maybe that theory still holds water.. idk y’all that’s the explanation i’m going w because i can’t think of anything else lol

- okay THE ENDING OMG!!!!! was it a bit cheesy and predictable and entirely too short? yes. did i LOVE IT ANYWAYS OMG LOOK AT THEM THEY’RE ALIVE AND HAPPY!!!!???? Queenpin.

Pairing: Ten x female reader.

Genre: Crime, gang | Angst.

Warnings: Blood, injury, kidnapping, knife, major character death.

Plot: Ten is a thief, and he decided to steal from the queen herself.

Word count: 968.

A/N: This is part of the crown collab hosted by @earth-to-that-asian

Ten opens his eyes, and he grunts.

He sees nothing, he hears nothing except the beating of his heart which seems to resonate in the room. He quickly notices that his vision is blocked by something around his head, squeezed hard enough to accentuate the migraine that shatters his head in two. He tries to move, but he quickly feels the burning of the ropes around his wrists, they are tied behind his back. The chair he seems to have been thrown into is uncomfortable, but at least, his legs seem to be free of restraints.

"Oh, look who finally deigns to wake up." he almost jumps when he hears a voice, not because he was not expecting it, but because he has no idea where it came from. "W-Where am I?" he asks, and he is surprised to hear his own voice, rough and strangled as if he had spent the past hours screaming. He tries to move his wrists in the ties, and he winces when he feels a thick liquid slide down his hands and fingers. Blood.

"You should know where you are, Ten."

Someone takes the blindfold off, and when he looks around he wishes they never did. He has heard of this place, and this is probably the last place he would have liked to wake up one day, yet here he is. "Why am I here?" he hears a laugh, and when his gaze meets yours he swallows hard, which seems to amuse you if the sparkle in your eyes is anything to go by.

"You don't know? Come on Ten, I have been told you were smart, why don't you take a minute to think about it."

His brow furrows when he sees you more clearly. He's never met you, but he's heard of you many times, and he has to say that if the first time he laughed at your description, he's not so sure he wants to laugh anymore. The way you sit, your posture, your gaze, the way you move and speak, it screams power. Ten is not the type to be afraid, but here, strapped to this chair, with the glint in your eyes, he must admit that he is afraid.

"Since you're acting like an idiot, I'm going to have to remind you why you're here tonight." you stand up, and he notices that the chair you were sitting on is not a chair, it's what anyone would call a throne. A white throne, a throne that was once immaculate, but is now decorated with splashes of blood. All you need right now is a crown, and you would perfectly answer the name given to you: the queen.

“Last month someone broke into my house while I was on a work trip. Jewels were taken from me, extremely valuable, and expensive possessions. I was extremely disappointed. But what a surprise did I receive when one of my men sent me a message, to tell me that a vulgar waitress was wearing one of my necklaces."

When you walk around the chair he tries to keep his eyes open, but when he feels your fingers on the back of his neck, your fingernails rubbing against his sensitive skin, he closes his eyes, a shiver running down his spine. "It was not difficult to make her confess, you must have understood it by now. After a gift of such a value, I would have thought that she would hesitate before giving your name, but she did it. She even told me that she felt nothing but pure loathing for you."

You smirk when you hear his breath catch in his throat. This is exactly the reaction you expected. "What are you going to do to me?" he asks in a small voice, and you had expected Ten to put up a fight, but no, he gave up the second he opened his eyes. It's a shame, really, you wanted to play. You thought you could make him a puppet in your play, but no, he wouldn't even have been an extra, and you don't have room for someone like him.

"You see, it takes a lot of courage to decide to enter my house, and even more so to steal my things, to challenge me, and yet you did. I thought you would be a little more defensive, but you are nothing but an idiot who wanted to impress a girl who never wanted you in the first place. It's sad, if you ask me." you stop in front of him, and you put your hand on his cheek. A cheek reddened from the cold of the room, but before he can get used to the warmth of your palm, you step back until you feel the edge of the throne against the back of your knees, then you sit down gently.

"I could have used someone like you, Ten, but unfortunately you won't be of any use to me." you shrug your shoulders, and when he understands the meaning of your words, his eyes widen, even more when he feels the cold of a blade against his throat. He hadn't even realized that someone else was in the room, far too mesmerized by your mere presence. "A queen needs a king to rule over the kingdom. It could have been you. But maybe in another life, who knows."

Ten could open his mouth, and ask for forgiveness. He could promise to be at your service until you get tired of him, until he paid his debt, but he doesn't know if he can handle the power that you exude, so instead he closes his eyes, ready to receive his punishment.

“I am just like you,” Dialtone says sharply. “It’s sheer laziness. I could easily be better.”

Taia just laughs. “When you are you should come back here and we can give it a try.”

She returns both palms to the queenpin’s hollow chest. “I’m setting my sights a little higher, thanks,” she says, pushing herself up as she speaks.

“Oh really? And who is this pole star?”

“A maiden of honor,” she answers, standing up straight. One must up the caliber of her ammunition for a target that can see her aiming.

Taia—a Crater girl to the core—takes the killing blow with grace. Her smile is fluid and serene, her head high, as she replies, “Well. She is lucky. And you are stupid.”

One thing I CAN talk about now that I feel like you guys have “met” her in Resonance is how fun and interesting the dynamic between DT & Taia is. She’s one of the few of her regular underground contacts that is kind of a match for her—I wouldn’t say there’s trust between them, but there’s a mutual respect obfuscated under layers of opposing mind games and chessmastery. I also think that—particularly in the scene I quoted—she challenges DT to separate what in her whole deal is positive praxis and what’s just a power trip, by exemplifying to her what she might be like if not guided by her relationships and her vision. And Taia actually KNOWS that, and admires DT’s clarity of purpose, but she’s too nihilistic to quite get there for herself although she does become a rebellion ally.

QOTS 4x08 Reaction Post

The Good News: This episode bounced back. The Bad News: Teresa shared one line and 10 seconds of screen time with another female character.

First things first, this episode was at least 10 times better than last week so WHEW. In fact, other than the RIDICULOUS UNFORGIVABLE stat I mentioned in the intro, there was even some positive action taken addressing my list of mid-season concerns:

Teresa finally got involved with the Tony and Pote drama and it resulted in a powerful scene between Teresa and Tony. (Gonna ignore the general ickiness of “your dad got himself killed with his choices” to focus on Teresa’s blaming Guero breakthrough. Love that for her.)

There were some moral quandaries introduced for Teresa to start pushing the boundaries of her Queenpin line in the sand. She was able to avoid innocent collateral damage this episode, but for how much longer?

There was even a Jeresa parallel with Pote telling Kelly Anne he didn’t deserve her love (!!!!) and this great exchange:

Pote: I’m also a murderer. Kelly Anne: Well, so am I. Me: *chin hands* ROMANCE.

Like Teresa, Pote had a lot more to work with than usual this episode and Hemky freaking ran with it. Just think what it could be like if they didn’t turn Pote into Cartel Yoda every week? He was hilarious and badass with Ishmael---who I literally typed, “dammit I actually like this dude?” less than five minutes before his death so....still got it, baby!

[Sidenote: whoever chooses the mid-commercial preview clips at the network stays picking the WORST spoilers available every episode! When James does return I feel like we’ll learn about it in a commercial break first lmao.]

Speaking of commercial breaks I was seriously ticking them by with: 10 minutes without two women sharing a scene. 20 minutes. 30 minutes? 40 MINUTES?! We have ten minutes left are you freaking kidding----Oh wait. 10:57pm Teresa says one line to Kelly Anne to which KA doesn’t even verbally respond. DO BETTER, SHOW.

Which brings us to Javier. You sure are cute but WOW you are a spectacular failure. Has he done anything successfully this season besides bet on the right rooster in 4x01? Remember how irritating last week was when Eddie inexplicably made it through the entire episode without discovering any of Teresa’s secrets? This week it’s Javier SOMEHOW making it through the hour without fessing up about Rene. There’s drawing shit out and then drawing shit OUT. (An issue across the board this season TBH--can we get some forward movement please?)

It is maddening to have a character who has witnessed Teresa using her beautiful brain to get out of worse scenarios, acknowledge that Teresa could figure something out if she had all the pertinent info he’s been withholding, PLAN to tell her and somehow manage to squander multiple opportunities to come clean. It gets even worse when Javier fails his redemption assassination attempt (lol only this show) and puts Teresa in even worse danger! IMO the reveal is well past it’s “good by” date and, like with Eddie, I cannot enjoy Teresa "bonding" with Javier while there’s this huge lie between them.

I did like Javier and Detective Greene playing off each other though. I thought it was great that Javier refused to blame an innocent man for his crime only for the man to die anyway making the point moot (foreshadowing for Teresa next week perhaps?). I mean, yay for your morals in this highly specific inconvenient instance I guess. Never mind that the body count for Javier’s Rene mistake is now at EIGHT haha.

During hiatus I speculated we could have a play on the Camila/James/Teresa split loyalty dynamic with Teresa/Javier/Boaz and I wish they’d focus more on that rather than a half-assed parallel between Eddie and Emilia. IMO Javier’s scenes are strongest with Boaz so I’m hopeful it’s something they will explore even if the setup hasn’t been as strong as it could have been.

As for Boaz, I swear one of the highlights of the episode for me was the loud as hell tinkling noise of all Boaz’s jewelry shifting when he sat up mid-massage lol. The man loves his crystals okay? I wonder if he will surprise us all and rescue his familia and if that means Javier, Emilia or both.

Finally, I loved Teresa putting the Judge to work, Marcel proving Teresa wasn’t the only one who had learned a lesson from their war, and a special repeat mention to Teresa and her legendary empathy talking to Tony by the pool. I’ve missed scenes like that so much this season. Now if only Teresa and Kelly Anne could have a few cathartic conversations too. Kinda hard for them to reconcile with no lines, writers---and NO that is not a challenge.

Looks like Teresa and Tony get their cardio in next week as several vengeful chickens come home to roost. Hopefully El Gallo finally proves himself useful too.

QOTS Tarot Symbolism 3x08-3x11

Eyyy so I got way behind on these, and since I really want to wrap it up before the start of S4, here is a more general overview of the tarot card symbolism for the back end of S3 (eps 8-11). Will hopefully finish up the last two tomorrow - thanks for all your support for this series. It’s been fun!!

Let’s get started with Episode 8 “El Carro” or “The Chariot.” Very fitting for an ep that is full of fast cars!

Episode 3x08 El Carro/The Chariot

This tarot card depicts a warrior riding a chariot and symbolizes victory, determination, and achieving your goals. The fact that he’s driving the chariot without reins shows that he’s achieving success through strength of will, and his standing position indicates that he’s all about action and moving forward.

If this card turns up in a reading, it can indicate that you will win an upcoming battle and that you will be able to overcome any setbacks through hard work, aggressive action, and courage.

This episode we see Teresa making some moves and laying a lot of the groundwork for the defeat of Pecas and takeover of la Comision in the following ep. And there are certainly bumps in the road - losing some of their product, KG’s capture, Tonto’s death and Lil T’s injuries, to name a few. But their strategic move in making a deal with Mayo at the end of the ep is setting them up nicely – as Teresa says, “when the time is right, we’ll kill them all.” Victory is ahead!

From a relationship standpoint, this card emphasizes the need to work through rough patches with good communication. We see Teresa having some honest conversations with James (both in the car and in the bathroom later) as well as with Pote to help clear the air after everything that went down in the previous ep (wine cellar etc).

Episode 3x09 El Diablo/The Devil

The Devil card shows, well…the Devil! This one is interesting. It can appear when you are on the verge of a big breakthrough or upward movement, which is certainly the case for Teresa in her takeover of Phoenix. She’s also making a “deal with the devil” (however briefly) in working with Mayo to eliminate Pecas.

The Devil can represent entrapment, too, and Teresa and the gang pull off a clever ploy that ends with their enemies all dead otherwise “trapped” in jail. Plus my main man KG is sadly languishing in captivity, imprisoned by Cortez and his goons.

Teresa is also flirting with the “dark side” in her ruthless elimination of her competition - this card can symbolize a conscious choice to embark on a darker path with confidence and courage, and I think there are shades of that here (in particular executing Pecas + her phone call with Mayo at the end).

Pleasure, lust, and raw sexuality are also associated with the Devil, and the final moments of the ep do get pretty steamy... ;)

On that note, in terms of relationships, the Devil encourages you to break free of any anxieties and inner fears that might be standing in the way of achieving your desires. And throughout the ep, we see James and Teresa coming back together (we’ll run Phoenix how we want, we’ll do it together) and building towards that epic moment where they tear off each other’s clothes and...yes.

Episode 3x10 La Muerte/Death

A skeleton riding a white horse, but not as ominous as it looks! Death is about new beginnings, change, and transformation - it symbolizes closing the door on a certain phase of your life and embracing new possibilities. Letting go of the past can be challenging, but it’s to make way for a richer and more fulfilling experience in the present.

I think this is really the essence of Teresa’s hallucination experience. While in El Santo dreamland, she makes the choice to leave the familiarity and security of her memories and fantasy what-might-have-beens with Guero to embrace the life she actually has. To keep going despite all the pain and hardship and uncertainty. Quote Queenpin: “Your life is painful and ugly, but it’s yours.”

When El Santo tells Teresa that the darkness that he saw in her before had is gone, I think it’s referring at least in part to that weight being lifted. Rebirth is also kind of El Santo’s schtick, which fits well with the death card - the old version of yourself has to die so the new one can emerge and thrive. The past is behind you, and the future is up for grabs!

Episode 3x11 Diez de Copas/Ten of Cups

Oh boy. The Ten of Cups is the “happy family” card. It depicts a loving couple with their children, and it is all about joy, contentment, and being surrounded by loved ones. Which is how we open this ep - Teresa and her gang having a delightful family-style BBQ pool party with lots of laughs and tequila.

Sadly, this idyllic scene doesn’t last. When reversed, the Ten of Cups represents increased distance between you and your loved ones, poor communication, and breakup of familial or romantic relationships. By the end of the ep, James and Teresa have had a falling out over the mole situation, and we all know the sad way in which Teresa’s friendship with Kelly Anne ends. :(

This card can also mean you are deviating from your personal moral code. Ordering KA’s execution, for example, is not necessarily in keeping with Teresa’s earlier idealism of “a better way of doing business.” But doing what is necessary to survive AND staying true to your heart is certainly no simple matter.

Best of Marvel: Week of March 6th, 2019

Best of This Week: Conan the Barbarian #4 - Jason Aaron, Gerardo Zaffino, Matthew Wilson and Travis Lanham

The irony of how Conan became King and what the throne did to him is not lost on the former Thief, Slayer, Barbarian.

Strangling the previous king, Conan finds the Throne itself equally constricting as he's bored of bureaucracy and politics; even finding himself getting very sick from lack of fighting. He attempts to fight a lion he was given as a gift from another king, hoping it would be a worthy challenge, but the lion is tamed, if only for a warrior fierce as itself.

So Conan does the only thing he's ever done, seek out the fighting wherever it may be and… it - is - glorious.

I hope that Zaffino is the permanent “King Conan issue” artist, because while Mahmud Asrar is perfect for the young Conan, Zaffino has a style that plays well with the grit and gruffness that is the older warrior. Conan appears far larger, as if he's only gotten muscle on top of muscle as he aged and the heaviness of the lines only helps to accentuate how awesome he looks. The action scenes are quick, epic and brutal, showing Conan with a rage that he had not seen in some time.

Matthew Wilson's coloring helps to make things even prettier. Things look like they're beautifully painted and he does a great job at using the lighting of an environment to capture a scene. Whether Conan is walking menacingly through rain or crashing through a slaver/kidnapper hideout, every color fits. Warm tones or cool, they have feeling as if you're there with or beside him, it's an awe-inspiring, immersive experience.

I'm absolutely loving this series and the continuing saga of Conan. He's a man that lives for battle and knowing that even as he gets older, he doesn't miss a step is amazing. His warrior spirit shines and makes me want to get horrendously ripped so that I too can engage in battle with a Lion as my partner. HIGH recommend.

Runner Up: The Amazing Spider-Man #16.HU - Nick Spencer, Iban Coello, Edgar Delgado and Joe Caramagna

After getting out of the slump that was her Queenpin of Crime days, Felicia is just getting back into the swing of things. After Spider-Man reveals his identity to her, she regains all of the memories lost after Spider-Man had Doctor Strange erase the worlds memories of him and the flood of emotion is getting to her badly. She remembers how much she loved him, was annoyed with him and combined with her recent dark past she's taking it out on her former gang.

She makes her way to Hammerhead who offers her a deal to wipe their slate clean if she rescues The Owl, Hammerhead's new business partner. she agrees, but upon seeing the child of Curt Conners locked in a cage, she gives up her original mission to save the kid only to be ambushed and defeated by Taskmaster and Black Ant, setting her up for Hunted.

It's nice to see Felicia on the side of the angels again. I didn't like her time as a villain because it seemed like a drastic turn, though understandable given the Superior Spider-Man rocked her shit like nobody's business. She was never convincing as an ultra tough and threatening villain because she had Hammerhead as her muscle and never did anything of note with the power she had.

Here she's vicious, clawing her way through mobster after mobster, standing up to Hammerhead like she knows that she can take him. She even holds her own, if VERY briefly, against Taskmaster and Black Ant, showing that she maintains her skill.

But the real highlights of the issue are the scenes where she reflects on her relationship with Peter. They truly were in love and she can’t stop thinking about it now that the memories have come back. It’s one of the more enduring things she’s had and she cherishes those thoughts, even if all of the times weren’t the best, knowing that it was her losing those memories that really made her turn bad adds an entirely new layer to her character. She became a hero because of him, she tried to save Dr. Conners kid because of her heroism and that’s all she needs to be great.

The art is awesome and absolutely makes Black Cat stand out as her silver hair flows and whips awesomely. It also shows off how athletic of a fighter she as she does flip kicks and Superman claws. Taskmaster and Black Ant always look cool so there was never a worry to be had for them.

Every issue involving Black Cat has been great, so this is well worth the buy for any fans of the character or those that need a refresher of her feelings on her relationship with Peter.

Steph Smith considers her work in the cannabis sector to be a form of activism. She says this election cycle is different because it is the first time she is going to the streets. She argues that police are misinformed about modern cannabis ideas and should change their perception to stop impeding the public's acceptance of marijuana legalization.

Stephanie Smith embraced the name marijuana "queenpin" to be a complement of her cannabis sector leadership. Steph has publicly announced that leasing to cannabis ventures is more profitable than renting to other tenants. It has very high demand that she at one time received triple the rent she initially asked.

In your opinion, what are the biggest challenges faced by women executives that aren’t typically faced by their male counterparts?

There aren’t many real estate developers who aren’t white male trust fund types, which is both sad and telling.

Despite being a flourishing industry, there are few challenges that every cannabis real estate owner should be prepared for.

Flipping houses is a small but real part of the unaffordability problem. We can and need to do better than this.

But, in the end, that hairy beast of a deal turned out to be an excellent investment.

I had to quit my first college internship because it was unpaid and I couldn’t afford it. I promised my future self I’d never put someone else in that position. She claims that the imbalance is embedded in the system, citing that lack of quality, affordable child care, absence of universal health care, and gender discrimination as some of the vile backed into the system.

omg yes! thank you for showing interest in my content that makes me like...very happy and actually makes me want to continue on with it all! I always love talking about Jaylahs relationships with people so here goes hers with some of the key love interests in her history.

JAYLAH X BANE : Probably one of her more fundamental relationships, She loved bane and he loved her four times as much. She of course met him through the rogue business, and selling him venom, but through all that she met a man who she came to admire. I think that anyone who’s read the comics know that Bane isn’t really as he seems. He’s capable of being kind & loving. That’s what their relationship was, surprisingly soft & kind. I think there’s been cases when he just protected her and looked out for her and she took notice. They fell in love, (him maybe more than her and she feels guilty about it ) but there was no way of them having each other. They cannot be public, and other rogues couldn’t know because they had enemies and enemies would use that against each other. I’d say they dated secretly for a month or two before cutting it off (on a loving note) knowing they couldn’t have each other the way they wanted. There’s no bad blood between them, all love, though it’s probably true that Bane is a little jealous and hurt but that doesn’t stop him from helping her and loving her from a distance , he’s better than that.

JOHN CONSTANTINE X JAYLAH : Ok! Jaylah has loved and dated many people , but they never quite compared to John. He’s a sacred relationship, one she cherishes. One that would even conflict with her relationship with bruce, because not even he makes her feel the same way she does about John. She loves this man, loves loves loves. With him she doesn’t feel like she has to fake herself, she feels herself with him. It’s crazy how life sets people up, and she thinks about that all the time when she thinks of john. They met each other before the identity of queenpin was even thought off. It was in a sleezy bar and well, they had some sleezy sex. Though their relationship didn’t see the end of it there, they kept meeting up and ended up taking a liking to each other. Now this is John Constantine we’re talking about so their relationship wasn’t all sun & roses, things were bad at times. Maybe it was his fault and sometimes it was hers, this ultimately lead to a breakup which was inevitable but they still loved each other and he’s like, everything to her. She’d literally stop to have a life with him in London or whatever. He’s a jackass but he’s a passionate lover, and she’s a fool for him.

BRUCE WAYNE X JAYLAH: Wooah Chile, Ok I’m going to post a little analyses i wrote not too long ago. [ thinking about how much jaylah loves john constantine and oop ? She does ! Gosh he sucks sometimes but she isn’t exempt from that behavior either. with him she doesn’t feel like she needs to be perfect, but with someone like Bruce, she’s suddenly conscious that yeah she does kinda be perfect. There’s just a lot bruce won’t tolerate. Her relationship with John has always felt genuine and that matters to her a lot from living a distinguish life. ] Jaylah wasn’t always confident, especially as a child, and she doesn’t usually change herself for anyone but with bruce, she feels like she does. Bruce has standards and sometimes there’s only but so much he would tolerate even from a lover . She loves (ed) Him, but she questions if she really does. She wonders if she likes the idea of him, and not his core being. Jaylah said something like this to him once. “You love dangerous bad women, but when we do something dangerous or bad, you suddenly cannot love us. Therefor you never loved any woman.” Bruce challenges her, challenges her will , her morals, her mind and to be with him is to lose herself. And maybe that isn’t even correct, maybe bruce would accept her as is, but his nature his being it challenges her to change. It’s love and hate with him. Here’s another thing she said to bruce. “I love you, I really do , But i’m just not in love with you. I love you enough to have a life with you, but in that i would question if there was someone else.” maybe that someone else is john.
