You want to talk about spoiled? Oh boy.

Dating Nadia you are treated like royalty. She knows she has a habit of getting very wrapped up in her heists so she makes up for any lack of attention by lavishing you with gifts later.

She isn’t a tactile person and not fond of PDA. If anyone knew you were dating you could be used against her.

Behind closed doors she likes giving you little touches. Pinching your butt. Touching your cheek. Ducking in to kiss or bite your neck. Then, walking away grinning like the cat that got the canary.

When it’s just the two of you she loves touching. There is a throne in her bedroom stolen from a certified royal. (You wonder how she got it into the apartment) Her favorite is sitting in it with you on her lap and her lips on any part of your body. 

The former is particularly true if she’s upset or having a headache. Your closeness and the weight of your body is one of few comforts she allows herself.

Even if you don’t like jewelry, you’re going to wind up owning plenty.

At first she’ll steal a variety of things. Different stones, metals, and styles to see what suits you. 

Once she’s determined what stone brings out your eyes and what metal goes well with your complexion, nothing in the world is safe.

Remember that throne in the bedroom? You definitely have a crown because you are her princess.

In bed Nadia is always the big spoon. No exceptions. 

If you’re not spooning she will be holding you one way or another. She runs hot so you always have your own personal space heater.

In the summer, you have to have AC. Sleeping apart any more than necessary is not an option.

Her long hair is gorgeous. However you have inhaled it plenty of times by mistake.

Dates range. Sometimes you’re taken to the opening of new museums or art galleries. Other times it’s a club that’s so selective you would never know it existed without knowing Nadia.

Nadia loves dressing up. The only thing she loves more is seeing you dressed up. Especially if you’re wearing something she stole for you.

Sometimes it’s hard to tell if you’re on a date, or if she’s casing her next mark. Either way she makes sure you enjoy yourself.

Since Nadia’s heists can sometimes involve long cons, she likes to make sure you’re not alone. 

You were overjoyed to be presented with not one, but two puppies. Both large breed dogs who are amazingly well trained.

It’s not your imagination, they’re two guard dogs. They travel with you wherever you go.

The names you pick aren’t cool or vicious. They’re fluffy and sweet and don’t match the dog’s personalities. Nadia will never complain, but you can tell by the barely concealed sneer she’s not a fan. 

Whenever you catch her grimacing over their names she will stroke your cheek and grin, “As long as you’re happy.”

A lot of time is spent traveling. Unlike the Poppy, Flashpoint doesn’t have safehouses in every country.

You’re always put up in pricey hotels from a few particular chains to assure your surroundings are familiar and comfortable.

Flashpoint’s crimes are higher profile and not limited to theft. They are more likely targets for law enforcement internationally and thus can’t afford to travel privately.

Nadia hasn’t had a home in a long time. Now she calls home wherever you are.

Also I'm not sure in which universe is democracy a widely American concept.

Even before Ancient Greece in the Vajjika Republic in 6th century bce India is widely considered to be the first example of a democratic Republic.

Also democracy is literally only in Republic City, which didn't have real democracy until the end of Book 1, and the earth kingdom who was suffering under a bad case of fascism. And Queen Hou-Ting, what ever godamm name was, sucked dick and was a terrible ruler.

The water tribes kept their chiefs, they just get to vote on it. The northern water tribe chiefdom is hereditary. The fire nation kept their firelord

Korra did not spread democracy everywhere, unlike where you claim they forced it.

Poor earth kingdom citizens, they must miss being a selfish queen who never did anything to help them, and let theives go wild, and then the facist dictator, who put people into concentration camps.

In HISTORY leaps in technology have happened fast. In a STORY you need to be careful not to make the whole thing feel like it's set in a different universe - and when we go from rudimentary industrialization, some of which is openly treated as a PROBLEM by the original's shows narrative because nature's worth and it's key role in keeping balance are a central theme in several episodes, all the way to Ford 1s everywhere, big ass factories that would obviously cause a lot of polution, lightningbending going from rare to something common that is used to give everyone electricity, all because the writers wanted to change the aesthetic from Meiji Era Japan to Prohibition Era New York, I'm gonna say that shit went a bit too far.

I didn't say americans invented democracy, I'm saying it's very common for american writers to push their own way of life as the only correct one, because there's literally over a century of the government spreading propaganda about "The american dream" and "the american way of life" to EVERYONE, including people in the USA, where the writers were raised - which is why the city that is supposed to represent the all four nations suddenly goes from "Very obviously east asian" to "Very obviously USA stuff that was never present in the old show." The character of Korra isn't running around saying "The US is inherently better", but the show very much is by making the symbol of balance and harmony so PAINFULLY american.

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Bryke or anyone involved in the making of Korra was actively trying to make propaganda, they were just influenced by it and repeated some of it without even realizing it - and so did you with the bizarre leap in logic of "If you criticize the way americans, knowingly and unknowingly, tend to push their way of life as the default/superior one in stories, that means you think the fascist villain had a point/is not that bad"

If you like Korra as a show, including the whole concept of Republic City, that's fine. It's none of my business. But as someone who literally had to study American propaganda pieces and the long lasting influence it had in media, there is NOTHING you or anyone can say to me that will convince me that is not a reflex of propaganda that breaks the world-building that had been very coherent and consistent in the previous show. Either deal with that, or block the tags/my blog.

This was not usually his idea of a weekend night. Part of that was because Peter tended to keep himself busy. Not always on purpose, but there was always something happening in New York where he could help out. Since the spell he kind of expended where he focused on from just around Queens and Midtown to...well Queens and all of Manhattan. His apartment being on the island and now ESU campus made that a little easier, and between that, homework, whatever odd job he'd picked up to try and make money for rent when he moved out of the campus housing, and trying to catch at least some sleep? He didn't really go out.

Like, ever...and he really had no idea why he agreed when Mary Jane asked him to join her at this place but here he was.

Maybe he was worried she'd get into trouble, since he'd already come acorss her a few times as Spider-Man needing help. Or maybe it was just that she'd asked him, and then looked really hopeful after the last four times he'd awkwardly turned down an invitation somewhere. It was probably a mixture of both. Whatever he was expecting, it was not her talking up someone at the back of the building, before they were both getting inside where this party supposedly was.

"Uh...is this usually how college parties go? Or is this like, the VIP guest list kinda thing?" he whispered to her, hearing the door shut behind them and yep. He could take on a whole room of bad guys, duck out of a wave of bullets, fight guys from other universes, aliens, and bike theives. But this? This was so outside of his element Peter felt like he was in high school figuring out where to fit in all over again.
