when i was in my chemistry classes i was told that most decisions, most thoughts, most movements and most pains are caused by electrical currents going through our nerves.

i repeat.

everything your nerves do is electricity.

jason could, if he wanted to, tap into that. he could make you feel the most excruciating pain in the world without giving you a MINUTE to stop him. he could manipulate every thought you’re ever had and every movement of your body and you wouldn’t even NOTICE.

and that’s just talking about electricity and nerves. he controls wind and air too.

percy’s cool and all with his “70% of your body is made of water” but how about “i’ll take every atom of oxygen away from you and watch you rot faster than a dead body”? how about choking you despite the air being totally fine around you? taking away every bit of air in your bloodstream?

and what about air pressure? maybe i’m pushing it, but the way he saved piper in tlh speaks volumes on his control on the air around him. what if he can make your entire body implode on a whim by making the pressure around you exponentially higher?

jason has so, SO much potential.

IF JASON GRACE WAS BORN GREEK HE WOULD'VE BEEN ON LUKE'S SIDE. i am in shambles.

his mother was abusive and left him for dead as an infant. thalia left him too, and ended up dying before they could meet again (pre-ttc). he grew up with wolves or at least had to fend for himself since infancy, so he'll always be the odd one out even in a camp where kids just Do that. he's the son of a god who wanted kids just to one-up his brothers. hes the son of a mother who wanted glory and not love. and even then, through wars and quests, he would still do whatever his dad wanted him to to just get that sliver of HOPE to be recognized. thats just how he is.

and then when he realizes his father will never love him the way he wants him to, he'll lose it.

this isnt as coherent as i wish it was but i just realized and it hurts. they are so similar and yet so different.

Another reason to love Jercy is how well their flaws combine - Jason deeply believes that he does not deserve affection and his loved ones will leave him at the first opportunity.

Percy is intimidating loving and devoted to foaming at the mouth.

percy’s fatal flaw is literally loyalty. someone else already said it but there is NO way jason is getting out of percy’s life except if he majorly fucks up. percy is so devoted to his lover he’d literally handcuff their hands together so they can stay like that just for a few more minutes— while jason genuinely believes his worth is ENTIRELY based on his actions and prowess, whether military or psychological. he’ll dig his own grave and burn himself out if it means someone will tell him they’re proud of him.

them together? jason doesnt have to do anything to be loved by percy, he’s already wonderful even if he’s not making buildings or being praetor. just jason is enough for him.

Headcannon Jercy, - Jason gets angry very rarely and very much, and Percy is the only thing that can pacify him.

Percy hums softly, his arms gently hug Jason's shoulders, Jason growls clinging to him, teeth almost hungrily into Percy's neck.

Percy looks up at Frank and Annabeth and asks them to leave with a look. Right now, he and Jason should only be alone with each other.

this but also the opposite: percy gets a bit angry sometimes and acts like it, but hes never truly, really mad at people. when he is, it doesnt seem like it. he's more of a mess, more prone to crying, needs more reassurance. but he never lashes out in anger, because he knows what that does to people. he's been on the other end of the stick and he doesnt want anyone else to be, not because of him

jason knows this so well he can tell when percy's anger bubbles past being upset and into dangerous territory and they talk it out together.
