You know what, now that he's back I'm gonna say it:
For as good a Showman as he is, when it comes to his actual chosen profession of a show creator Mr. Puzzles actually kind of sucks.
-He can't handle when things go off-script even slightly, which is ironic considering his four greatest successes came from giving the crew (or a related character) a prompt and just sitting back and recording the fireworks.
-Everything always has to be about him, even when in-context it really shouldn't be.
-When he has full creative control over the crew he has NO UNIQUE IDEAS. Everything he makes is a blatant rip-off of another show that only gets elevated to affectionate parody thanks to the very cast that he chose explicitly because he believed they sucked and wanted a challenge.
-Speaking of which, he clearly doesn't know quality when he sees it and either severely underestimated them, overestimated himself, or both, because it took them less than ten minutes to match and surpass his precious Five Stars.
-The five stars that took him most of a movie to get AND, need I remind you, THEY EARNED FOR HIM UNINTENTIONALLY!!!!
-It's clear from his monologue at the end of today's episode (and the fact that the episode exists at all) that, despite claiming otherwise, he has learned nothing from his defeat.

I had a dream with her in it (among other nomai) and I remember very distinctly that she had beautiful hazel eyes. So I decided to give her a design to go along with them!!

Hi my very favorite quilter in the entire world! I have a question (a few questions). Weighted quilts are a thing? If weighted quilts were to be a thing, how could one medium level deamstress with absolutely No quilting experince go about making one (making five or seven, if possible)? And, also, where do you get quilt top ideas or inpo? I love love love absolutely all your quilts, the scrap one in particular reestructured my ideas around scrap fabric and the importance of garment care
Good luck on the house repairs by the way
Hi!! I am so flattered to be your favorite quilter! This got long so it's below a read more
Yes, weighted quilts are a thing. I personally haven't made any, but I think there are two main ways to make them (I'll tag @creations-by-chaosfay to chime in if she wants to, she has a lot more quilting experience than I do and if you like my quilts you'll like hers too).
1. Add polypellets (or other weighted beads like them) to each square of the quilt as you make it. I think you'd need to enclose most of the outer edges of the quilt sandwich before you start quilting the sandwich together, put some beads in, quilt them into one square, more some more beads in, quilt the next square, etc
2. The easier but not as heavy option: extra batting would make the quilt heavier, and I think flannel is heavier than quilting cotton, so an all-flannel quilt would have some weight to it, especially if you use flannel for the batting too. I know some of my quilts have ended up pretty heavy, even if they aren't technically weighted blankets? If I remember later today I'll weigh some of my quilts
As for quilt top inspo, I have to admit I usually don't follow other people's patterns for quilts. I mean, I have followed some, like the cat quilt and the Postcards from Sweden quilt, but a lot of the time I just find fabric I like together, decide what size I want the squares to be, cut out all the squares, and go from there. The triangle quilts I've been working on recently are a case of that going wrong: I should have chosen a pattern because I laid out the patches like I do for my usual plain patchwork quilts and very much dislikes the fabrics together lol. Most of my quilts are just me dividing the quilt space into quadrants and trying to distribute each color of fabric as equally as possible across those quadrants
The scrap quilt was me deciding what size finished block I thought would be easily divisible so I could cut out different sizes of scraps (12" finished blocks), and deciding on the two different 12" blocks I wanted (one made of 2.5" strips, one made of 6.5" and 3.5" squares). After I'd decided that and slowly started accumulating blocks, I learned about crumb quilting, so some of the scrap squares are crumb quilted from tinier pieces of fabric
Wait I almost forgot to add: I follow a few quilting blogs here on tumblr, and regularly look at patterns they share. I also sometimes google "free fat quarter patterns" or "free baby quilt patterns", and go from there. For me personally, the part of quilting I enjoy is usually not the intricate tiny patterns, so I usually don't buy quilt patterns, but I have a few paid patterns I will be buying eventually (the Exploding Hearts quilt and the dog in a sweater quilt off the top of my head)
Thanks! I am hoping the house repairs turn out to be not as bad as they thought they'd be

So not sure if it was asked before (my apologies if so) but after rereading Faking it I’ve been wondering if what happened to Ford would have happened to Dipper if they were to switch places. Like you mentioned in the fic how Dipper realizes that the main advantage he had and the reason he wasn’t tricked by Bill is that he, as opposed to Ford, knew that Bill was a demon from the beginning. So my question is would Dipper be able to see through the flattery and lies quickly enough on his own or it would be a case of pure luck as it was with Stanford?
This hasn't been asked before, and it's a nice question!
Ford and Dipper are both intelligent. They're both ambitious and clever! But Ford's... a little more full of himself, and less emotionally intelligent. He saw Bill's arrival into his life, took his pleasant polite demeanor at face value, coveted the power and intelligence and thought: Great! This is amazing! With this creature working by my side, I can do amazing things!
Dipper in the same situation would think: Great! This is amazing! ....wait a minute. 'Great' stuff never happens out of nowhere, or at least not for free. What's the catch?
Where Ford's ambition shows him vast opportunity, Dipper's cynical nature outlines all the possible traps. Even if there aren't any there! He'd be much more of a skeptic when it came to great stuff just. Being handed to him.
Overall, Bill could have fooled Dipper - but he would've had a harder time of it.

The correct statement is "Precisely two of these three statements are false".
Explanation:
If "Precisely three of these three statements are false" were true, then all statements must be false, including "Precisely three of these three statements are false". If the statement is false, it cannot be true. It's a contradiction.
Likewise, if "Precisely one of these three statements is false" were true, then two of the statements would have to be true. Only one statement can be true at once. Therefore, this statement is also a contradiction.
That leaves "Precisely two of these three statements are false" as the only solution.

According to xlbs on weibo in the photos deciphered Long Ge appears to be imitating the “dancing bread” scene from the 1925 Charlie Chaplin film “The Gold Rush”). Coincidentally, Chaplin & Long Ge share the same Birthday (4/16), too). See Source Clip here
And he’s wearing the hat because this was taken when his head injury was healing allegedly

was looking through old posts and i'm surprised to see that i seemingly didn't have any commentary on anything in 3 in chapter 7, 8 or 9, the posts related to 3's story go from "my first reaction when i saw yopple-bot was 'i love you. but also you are definitely the boss for this chapter-'" to "i have been in hell all day. hell being bada-bing tower." funny to me cuz those chapters are like, the best ones sdfkljsdfjfsdkjlfsdjkl-

Heya, I've been following for a bit and I really love your art. It inspires me too do art as well. Like wh art! Also cause I've always loved dragons. But anyway, I'd like to ask if you have any art tips? Like how you do fur, body shapes (human or etc), showing movement in drawing, etc, etc. Thanks for being awesome and have a lovely day!
hmmmm my best advice is to keep your pencil/penstrokes Gentle and Sweepy! when you press hard and make tiny lines instead of longer, lighter ones, your art will be more rigid. ya gotta loosen up a little!
also - and i will Always say this again and again - build up your visual inventory. study photos, real life, videos. especially videos. it helps you really See how animals (including humans) are put together, how they move, the squish n stretch, etc.
and! this may be a Hot Take idk! but you dont need to learn anatomy, at least not in the "take a real life class and once you can draw an accurate to life person/animal, you can stylize" like hmmmm no. try to visualize things as Puzzles! at least that's what helps me the most! everything is just a bunch of different shapes pieced together into a whole. once you understand that, it gets easier to play around with fluidity and style

whiny life rants (feel free to ignore)
Sister came home yesterday. Good because - I get to be with her; we finally did our gifts exchange (we waited for her); I love her very much and it just feels right when the four of us are together. Bad because - since her boyfriend came as well, we have to share a room, which means no alone time; our parents try to cram as many activities and Things during the days she's here as possible, so I also have 0 free time aka I am unable to draw and paint or even turn on my pc. I will be fighting for a bit of time tomorrow cus there's so much I want (and need!) to do.
There are a number of unanswered messages mocking me, plus all the reading content I have yet to catch up. I hate it. I pretty much just catch up as many things as I can in 5 minutes whenever I can, but of course my phone decided to be stupid and die on me. I just LOVE spending money that i had specifically put aside for a MUCH needed pc upgrade, to get a phone of all things 🙄
Also we're having our second round of family dinners/stuffs and my people-tolerance is dangerously low. So yeah. Blogging to stay sane. We had to do a little shopping today and I was so close to bite someone's head off (and not in the fun sexy way). Too many people too much noise too much everything. I am supposed to go to a friend dinner party on Saturday, but I'm seriously considering bailing (again) because I am so physically drained and I know I will be a drag to everyone. And I just can't deal with all the job-hunting questions right now, so I might just stay in and use my sister as an excuse lmao.
All I want is one afternoon by myself, so I can mope around properly and paint, and I'll be alright. But who knows when I will be able to get it. Anyways.

Currently thinking about the last time I met up with my college friends, and we went around the table reintroducing ourselves with names and pronouns, cus it gets like that. And every time it would come around to me, I would deflect and distract instead of answering because I hadn't actually figured it out yet. It's coming up on a year since then, I still have no idea what the answer would be
