Pryp'jat. May 1, 1986
The Deputy Minister Boris Shcherbina and Professor Valery Legasov walked side by side through the city's amusement park, which was packed with families and children. It was a beautiful sunny day and the atmosphere was cheerful and relaxed.
A large Ferris wheel. The metal cabins painted in a yellow so bright that they reflect the sunlight.
Professor Legasov stopped to admire it, his gaze reached the top, from there people could surely admire all of Pryp'jat. He smiled instinctively. He remembered the first time he set foot on a Ferris wheel, together with his mother as a child, the fear he felt at first but then turned into pure emotion.
Boris stopped too, he wasn't looking at the Ferris wheel, he was looking at Valery smiling, he was looking at the sunlight illuminating every detail of his skin, his cheeks covered with scars left by an untreated acne which he found equally beautiful, the freckles from the cheeks down to his neck as well, and those dimples, those damned lovely dimples.
Boris smiled. But he wasn't looking at the Ferris wheel.
Valery after a few seconds turned towards him and realized that Boris was staring at him with an idiotic expression.
Valery blushed.
"What's up?" asked the scientist.
There would be so much to say Valera.
"Nothing" Boris replied, moving his gaze to the Ferris wheel without ceasing to smile.

False flag…? Prigozhin, Putin, Belarus - Really?
Well folks, it appears we have an interesting situation here with Prigozhin and Putin. Let me put on my Intelligence and Strategic hats for a bit, for a few areas to consider or ponder (or dismiss). First, an individual who is reportedly worth approximately ONE Billion dollars ($1,000,000,000) is charged with by Putin as a dangerous terrorist but then, charges are dropped. This individual,…

Chernobyl
It was April 26, 1986, and Anatoly Dyatlov was in charge. Tasked with running a test for Reactor No. 4 at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, it began much later than planned, and with an entirely different crew. Beginning just after 1 AM, the maintenance program immediately went array.
Under Dyatlov was shift supervisor Aleksandr Akimov and senior reactor control chief Lenoid Toptunov. They had access to a guide that was meant to give step-by-step instructions on how to run the tests. However, many of the steps had been crossed out or written over. The previous shift had told them to ignore the alterations.
The power levels in the reactor core began to fluctuate at inappropriate levels. The shift personnel on scene were becoming nervous over the state of the reactor. Akimov was alleged to have voiced his wishes for the test to be halted, but Dyatlov was insistent on it being carried out to completion. But the worrying numbers became too much for 25-year-old Toptunov. At 1:23.4 AM, he pressed the A-Z5 button, meant to immediately stop any activity in the reactor by inserting all control rods into the core. Instead, two explosions rocked the building.
The control rods are meant to halt fission activity in a reactor core, to stop any radioactive power generation halt. But, unknowing to the crew, Soviet RBMK reactors, the type used at Chernobyl, had a horrible flaw. The tips of the control rods were covered in graphite. Graphite, instead of stopping nuclear fission, makes it increase many times over. With all rods being inserted at once, the power level rose to an unknown number. First, the upper shield of the reactor was blown clean off, smashing through the ceiling of Reactor No. 4. Pipes and wires were destroyed upon the blast. Without water being able to run into the core, another explosion occurred, flinging radioactive debris everywhere.
Radioactive isotopes were flung out into the open air. Firemen arrived to put out what they thought was a burning roof fire. Instead, they came face-to-face with the glow of Cherenkov radiation. That is when the air becomes so radioactive that the oxygen atoms ionize in real time. Those who have seen the unearthly blue glow up close do not often live to tell the tale.
Unaware of exactly what had happened, but knowing that something must be done, both firefighters and reactor personnel worked as hard as they physically could to get the ruined reactor under control. Attempts were made to put water into the core, as it would hypothetically help moderate any reactions occurring there. But, at this point, the core did not exist anymore.
Soon, many firefighters and plant personnel began to fall ill. Vomiting, burns, and confusion began to sweep through the men. These are the initial symptoms of Acute Radiation Syndrome (ARS). Those suffering from ill symptoms were taken to Prypiat Hospital. But the institute was not equipped for even a small-scale radiation incident, not to mention the dire situation that Chernobyl was in at this point. The critical patients were quickly sent to Moscow Hospital No. 6, the top Soviet hospital for radiation injuries. However, even with treatment, it was not enough for many of those exposed. Officially, there are 31 deaths attributed to the Chernobyl disaster, consisting of firefighters and plant personnel. But this number does not take into account those who came in to clean up the destroyed reactor.
The roof was covered in radioactive debris. At first, robots were to be used to move the material back into the blown out hole into the roof. But the radiation was so high that the machinery was quickly shorted out. Thus, it was decided that humans must be used to clean. Those sent to the roof were known as Biorobots. One person should have only been on the roof for 90 seconds, doing as much as possible before leaving with a very large dose of radiation. But it would hopefully not be enough that it would cause damage. But many liquidators, both on the roof and decontaminating the 30 meter exclusion zone, were never given ways to track their exposure. Many were simply working until they were told to leave. It is unknown the death toll of Chernobyl liquidators, as the Soviet Union never attributed any of the increased cancer rates to radiation exposure. The increase in childhood cancer is also not considered. The true number of fatalities due to the Chernobyl disaster is unknown.
There is so much more to the Chernobyl story. From the scientists who handled the unprecedented disaster, to the shady practices of the Soviet government; there are many factors and consequences which can be studied about the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. More sources of information are included in the description.

If Omsk is called after river Om, so pryanik is called after river Prypiat, right?
Yes, and Moscow is named after a cow covered in moss.

My прапрадід, (who had a nickname "Mongol" because he had long black hair and his eyes were quite... Well, you can guess, I don't want to be cancelled for this adjective again xd) (he was Belaruthian btw, maybe someone from Golden Horde made his прапра) wasn't thinking about marriage at all, until one day he was coming back home through some forgotten by God and Devil themselves village in Prypiat region, and found a 2 meters (6.6 ft) tall blonde woman with hair lower than her ass, and in 10 skirts. They eventually had 6 children, all 6.6 ft tall.

Do you have any soap/ghost/price headcanons, like soap and ghost’s love story or Price’s dad vine origins?
It is about time I talked about these three lmao, I've somehow talked about everyone but them:
Present! Ghost's backstory is primarily the same as Past! Ghost's backstory, at least in regards to the outcome of his entire family dying
I think that Present! Ghost was on a specialized team before the 141, one that did a lot of undercover/stealth work. Ghost didn't wear a mask at the time and one of the men that the team was going after was able to figure out who he was and killed his family as a message.
Ghost started wearing his mask after that. He quit the team after they captured/killed the man who killed his family.
At that point he kinda did a bit of everything
Got his face scars after being captured and tortured by a terrorist at one point. This was the mission that he met Price on
Was super nervous about joining the 141 just because of what happened the last time he was on a team. Price assured him that he could keep his mask on at all times and, in the field, he'd only be referred to with his call sign.
Primarily he joined because he trusted Price.
Bisexual man, but has only ever dated men
Soap has a big family (love love love this headcanon in general)
He has three sisters and two brothers. He is the middle child through and through.
Both of his brothers are older, he has one older sister and the other two are younger
Similar to Jackson, he has hoards of nieces and nephews
Has wanted to join the military since he was little, it was always his dream and his parents were supportive, though a little confused with his enthusiasm
Chaotic teenager, used to do the dumbest shit just because
Got scouted for the team specifically because of his demolitions knowledge. He was good with weapons but, after seeing one of the more complicated bombs Soap rigged up as well as seeing how smart he actually was with strategy/mission knowledge, Price knew he had to have him on the team
I think Price's beginnings are much the same as they were in the OG universe, at least in regards to MacMillan and Prypiat.
He joined the military young, after being kicked out of his home due to an argument with his dad
Immediately proved himself to be super skilled though. Caught the attention of several different people during his training, including MacMillan
MacMillan scouted him and took him under his wing similar to how Price did with Gaz
Quickly worked his way up the ranks and when he was a Lieutenant he was chosen specifically by MacMillan for the Prypiat assassination
Not on Zhakaev in this universe, likely some big up and comer in the Ultranationalist movement who was making too many quick grabs of power for anyone's tastes
Was a success in this universe!
Sometime after this is when he started running missions as a team leader/by himself
This includes the mission with Farah where he adopted his first child
Admired her strength and how good of a leader she was. Always kept tabs on her and checked in to see if she needed any help with anything (even if it meant him breaking protocol)
He was promoted to Captain after MacMillan retired and he started working anti-terror specifically
Met Laswell around this time at a soccer (🦅🇺🇲) game during a mission and the two hit it off
They became really good friends and eventually Price brought Laswell with him to meet up with his sister at one point (she was the only member of his family he kept contact with)
Watched his sister and Laswell fall in love and served as Laswell's person of honor at their wedding
He definitely didn't cry (he for sure cried)
Adopted Alex sometime after this. Met the kid on a mission and was like "oooo, okay, adopted"
I like to think its because of either Alex or Farah that he has his hat
One of them gave it to him as a joke gift and it very quickly became his favorite thing ever and he started wearing it all the time
He and Nikolai met during a joint force operation with a Russian team back before Price was a Captain. They became fast friends while on the mission and have stayed in touch ever since.
They also definitely kissed at one point but decided they were better as friends
Price lowkey regrets not dating him on occasion (until he meets me then he'll never regret it again because he will have found his one true love)
Definitely fishes and does all sorts of other dad activities
The team will often walk in a room to him hyper focused on a crossword puzzle with a pair of reading glasses perched on his nose
Definitely an avid jeopardy watcher, if he can he makes the team watch with him. He never misses a question 💪(he misses a lot of questions)
Hates trains. Will do literally any other form of transport but trains are an immediate no
Doesn't have a good relationship with his parents, but MacMillan and his wife have essentially taken him in as their own
After every successful mission he and Laswell take a shot together. They did it on an off thing after their first mission together and just kinda kept it going
Started smoking cigars because of MacMillan, used to smoke cigarettes before that but only smokes cigars now
Drives like the oldest most beat up truck ever and refuses to get anything new, even if the thing sounds like its going to break down every time he drives it
His favorite child is Gaz, though he would never admit it outloud. He see's a lot of himself in Gaz and he would very literally die for him
Seems very demanding/smooth but gets easily flustered if someone flirts with him. This has resulted in the team seeing him go bright fucking red at bars several times
Speaking of which, I adore the headcanon that no matter how many times Price says he's gay, the team still are shocked any time he mentions it
Has literally the best eye for future couples. He knew that Soap and Ghost would get together then that they would date Roach within like minutes of seeing them together. Could tell Gaz and Jackson would end up together (though protective dad Price mode was engaged immediately and he was so not cool with it because Jackson had already apparently slept with one of his kids (Roach))
If it hadn't been for the poison bracelet he probably would have shot out Makarov's kneecaps before finally killing him just because of what he'd seen him doing to Roach
He and Laswell secretly call Soap "problem child" when talking about him in private
He threatened to put a bell of Ghost once after the man snuck up on him and scared the shit out of him one too many times
Just a single dad who loves his problem children
