AHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!

I’m looking at the new cast for Total Drama and I LOVE THEM !! I know I’m late BUT WHO CARES

All my thoughts and feelings under the cut, as well as a lot of shit talking/posting.

Group 1

Priya - Her design is simple, like most of the this cast, but I really do believe they look good ! THESE ARE TEENAGERS. Anyway, she probably has one of my favourite designs, I love the blues <3. I don’t have much theory on her personality, but I’m thinking in between the lines of smart/shy or direct/nervous (smart-mouth but doesn’t say much to peoples faces). She’s definitely gonna be one of the ones I’m looking forward to the most !

Millie - She’s giving country/small town vibes from her outfit, which I do love ! She’s going to be the girl that’s going to encourage her team, I think. Not to much else to say, but I do think she looks great ! Actually, I do have one more thing, I think she’ll be one of the people to get a love interest, which if she does I really hope it’s cute ^^

Ripper - Bet he’s going to be one of my faves, but I also think his character could go two ways: 1, being one of the main comic relief characters (ie, slipping up a lot, but I don’t think he’ll be dumb) or 2, the laid back go along guy. He’ll help in challenges and be a good member of the team, but I think he won’t become in charge in most of them. With my limited knowledge of baseball, I do think he’s “backstory” or sorts will be that he enjoys it, mainly because of how he dresses. Out all of them, he’s 1 or 2 characters that I think I will love.

Damien - He looks badass. Definitely going to be a level headed camp member, and call out Chris on his bullshit. I think he’ll be the one that everyone likes, but not to many favourites. I mean, his design is so COOL. The colours are sending me <333

Axel - I really hope she isn’t, but I think Axel will be the antagonist, but she’s so cool looking lol. Imagine if she’s first induced in a typical mean way, like Heather, but than during challenges and just hang out time she’s one of the nicest campers. She helps out, chats to people and actually being a good team player. But people are skeptical of her because she has the ULTIMATE resting butch face. I love this idea but I don’t think it’ll turn out that way, but I can wish and dream. But she’s still badass looking.

Chase - Fuckboy. No, wait, but in all honesty he’s probably gonna be part of one of the main couple of this season, he radiates that energy. Nice Guy TM, but that one nice guy that most people like. He looks like he’s wearing some type of one piece underneath his jumper, or he just really likes yellow, but I think he’ll be some type of dancer, which would be pretty cool. But I’m betting he’s the token nice guy.

Zee - My guy needs to work on their posture, like is their back alright ??? Beside from that joke, they looks pretty chill. ~Good Vibes~ I also think they’re going to be non-binary, but I’m not 100% sure what the creators have said on this topic, but than again they could be just some chill dude. I’m not sure what roll he’ll play, but I can see them just talking to someone slouch down but when they get angry Zee gets to their full height and towers over that person Lol. That would be really funny.

Scary Girl - The goth, crazy bitch & everyone’s favourite girl rapped in a gift with two pigtail ribbons. I’m just kidding, but she does look pretty bloody cool/cute. She’ll be the sike out villain, but I think she’ll be just some crazy goth chick and I’m LIVING for it ! But, does she not have a name ?? I’m excited to know that backstory and reveal of her name. Her outfit is so bloody cute, I can’t get over it ! But I bet she’s the character to randomly walk out of shadows.

Group 2

Caleb - Dat ass 😩 but, I think he’ll be the hottie for the season that all the girls flock over, plus Bowie tbh. I don’t have much else to say than I had one look at him and completely forgot he was a character. He isn’t doing much for me, but I think I won’t dislike him, Caleb has a cool design so I’m excited.

Nichelle - SHE ! Nichelle has such a good design, my artist brain is electrocuted with how her hair is LMAO. She just looks so cool ! The colours are everything !! I can’t tell what her personality/roll will be but I’m betting on the more “popular” side, but I’m not going to say mean because she doesn’t exactly seem that way.

Julia - Unpopular Opinion: I really like Julia & Emma’s designs, I think they look really cute ! My favourite part about Julia atm is her hair/eye shape, they give off more bitch energy but I still really like her <3 the colours are really nice as well, plain but simple and you gotta love plain stuff. She’s coming off as sly/smart tbh.

Bowie - DAT ASS 😩 I’m sorry but I can’t help but look at his triangle point LMAO. Anyway, I think they’re supposed to be one of the new gay characters (I’m using they/them because idk if their just feminine gay or not, if that makes sense). ANYWAY, I like their design, it’s cute, it’s classic it’s colourful ! Their chin is giving me shittly done dot-to-dot but hey, it’ll grow on me. I’m more nervous to see if they have a higher voice, like with my fear if most female voices (I have very sensitive ears and they are pretty bad to high voices, I can barely listen to family with high voices with out cringing), but overall I like them, but they won’t probably be on my top 5 fave list.

Wayne - Nervous, hockey looking-ass, that I’ll be very mad if he leaves early. I like his hat and hair tbh, idk why but I do. I also love his chunky looking shoes. Obviously he gonna be part of a bff pair, but I hope they aren’t like Katie & Sadie where they are nearly carbon copies of each other, but they don’t look like it, so that’s a good start. Bet he’s the more rational friend due to how he looks nervous, probably was asked to audition by his buddy RAJ.

RAJ - Highschool Ray William Johnson is that you ? LMAO, that’s the first thing I thought of seeing his design, next was, “Oh, he’s gonna be the trouble maker”. He looks like he’s going to be in the category “Dumb: Goes first into danger” but he also seems neutral ? Idk. I think he’s cool and I like the hair for some reason (hairs my favourite thing about drawing so of course I like it on these characters lol).

Emma - She looks so cute ! She has a similar body shape to me and idk it makes me very happy !! Her outfit is killing me with cuteness. She’s probably gonna be kind of like Beth, the awkward teen or I really hope she’s a twist with having a sweet personality most of the time but when she needs to she can be RUTHLESS ! Idk, I love her though.

MK - I LOVE HER. ALREADY MY FAVOURITE. She’s so bloody cute ! Her beanie, her outfit, THE COLOURS ??? I love her. I want her to be the final girl PLEASE. I want her to be chill, smart, fun, and idk not a dick ??? I just love her design a whole fucking lot. Her, along with Ripper, Axel & Wayne are going to be who I look at the most !

Hello Fox !!💖 I remember you telling me to let you know when i have seen Turning Red already. So here i am 😤 i have actually seen it the past few days ago tho i just don't have enough energy to compile my thoughts (yes i have tried typing my live thoughts down so i could say something 😂 it does matters still, right?).

I love how their temple looks like, it looks outstanding and really pretty 🤩🤩🤩 i'm lowkey loving the cooking scene, it looks like an irl advertisement 🤤🥺 Seeing her "solving the quadratic equation" gave me flashbacks back then when i was studying it— it's traumatizing and i'd never want to go back to that phase again (+ i forgot it already) yet i can see college whooping my ass in the future 😂😭 I cracked up when Mei felt something awakening inside of her and started to doodle an ikemen guy with defined abs that looks like Devon 😭

😭 I FELT THE EMBARASSMENT when her mom picked up her notebook,, i'd be praying for my life too if that would happen to me. And of course, her mom misunderstood the situation. 10/10 can relate as an asian, they're very protective yet stubborn at the same time 😩😩 they'd assume some stuff and refuse to listen to their kid smh smh. Idk if it's all asian moms but they're very reactive and emotional when there's some guy other than your dad or relatives that are involved 😩

That part where Mei started to have nightmares scared me sm 😰😌 it's hella creepy and lowkey relatable ?? Since dreams like that tend to be wild af 😭 idk but it really scared the hecc out of me,,,

I find it lowkey funny when Mei tried to move her belly when she turned into a red panda,,, and i think it's lowkey cute when the panda parts to go *poof*! There's a pink smoke too. i love miriam for talking back to this one person who said "whats with herr?? ("her"=mei) " that sounds so mocking and miriam snapped back, "what's with your face??!!!" <333 I honestly didn't expect Miriam to be the mom friend of the group, her mom might think otherwise but i find her to be a nice person :)

The part where mei transformed as a panda in school, rushed to the girls' cr then there's a girl who got out a cubicle(that said "o m g")- the way she shut her up with just her left paw and pushed her back 😂😭 Me thinking while watching mei run away from her mom: "i wonder how much this property damage costs like" 🤔🤔🤔

When Priya's twilight loving ass assumed that Mei transformed into a werewolf 💀 I'm cheering on Wilfred, her emotional support dog plushie 🥺💗💗 it's such a cutie,, I love their friendship, it's so wholesome <3 i love how their eyes sparkle in that ✨way✨ to show their adoration to something

Referring to her parents testing her urge control : idk but if im the one getting presented some random kitties i might run instead (context: i am scared of animals/insects or whatsoever that moves;;;;;)

im loving the fabulous entrance of her aunties + and her grandma looks so badass esp with that brow scar 🤩💞 I also like the foreshadowing of her dad asking her if her mom told her anything about her panda form. Mei haven't had any idea and then for the later parts of the movie her mom transformed out of rage, showing the destructive red panda in her. I was so shocked when her mom transformed 😭😭😭 why is it dinosaur sized ??!?! 😰😰😰 I haven't continued typing anything around this part but i love how we are able to see her aunt and grandma's forms too. It cleared my questions of "does the aunts have panda form too or only her mom?"

And tbh, her mom in her younger years looks so fine ?? I didn't expect that 😂🤩 she looks really nice. + Sun Yee's panda form is so lovely. It just lowkey creeps me out how she isn't saying anything and stays silent tho 😰

Figured out that by the end of the movie, Mei embraces her panda instead of abandoning it, for it's also a part of herself :DD the movie's really good, and i have forgiven Tyler too 💀💀 i really wanted to punch that boy in the first scenes.

i thought the temple was so pretty too!! i wish i could see a place like that irl 🫣 and yes, the cooking scene was great!! the contrast between how meimei’s dad is when cooking and how he really is like was great 😂 he's the kind of lovable dad who is trying his best, i think.

meimei’s doodling was literally me when i became a teenager 🫠 i felt represented and called out kfndkdn DUDE THE SECONHAND EMBARRASSMENT WAS SO REAL I HAD TO PAUSE THE MOVIE SO I COULD BREATH. I FELT THE DREAD. i’d honestly just pray for God to strike me dead if it were me. i can’t say much about the asian mom part but thank you for enlightening me about how real that is 🫢🫢

the nightmare sequence was just,,,, nope. nope, not for me, seemed like something straight out of my own nightmares 😢

speaking of miriam, i just love their whole friendship group?? like the girls are so supportive of each other, and they hold each other accountable. it’s so wholesome 🥺 i cried a lot during the movie bc of their friendship kfndks i wasn’t expecting miriam to be the mom of the group either! or for abby to have such gremlin energy 😳😳 and the twilight reference???? i lived for it even if i'm not a fan of twilight.

anytime meimei interacts with people in her panda form was so funny to me bc honestly? i would react the exact same way as the others did 😂 and i do think this may be little confirmations that maybe your path is in business :3c i mean, you’re looking at the movie and thinking abt how much damage would cost and celebrating flourishing (technically illegal) businesses 👀😂

the fact that ming lee’s panda is so enormous and we aren't given any explanation as to why in the world she’s like that… it makes me wonder. can pandas grow? or once you get them do they stay the same size? i feel like out of all the family members, she was the one who struggled the most, and that’s why she’s so controlling with meimei. i think at some point she liked her panda, too. but who knows! maybe i’m just reading too much into it.

about sun yee, that part creeped me out too 😂😂 but i think it’s because even if she did speak, meimei wouldn’t be able to understand her 🫢🤭

i watched the entirety of total drama 2023 today, and here's how it went (spoilers below!) (no duh...):

got very, very, VERY emotionally attached to zee, laughed my ass off at most of his lines, absolutely adored every minute of him being on screen, and cringed when he announced he had joined both alliances, then got SUPER MAD at chris allowing the players to vote again. what bullshit

found bowie and raj's romance absolutely adorable, although cut a bit short, but they made up for it by bringing everyone back in the finale and having raj cheer for bowie so intensely! also, ADORED wayne and how supportive he was! he was absolutely adorable!!! and after being so into the many queer ships of the fandom, actually hearing the words 'gay' and 'bi' on total drama made me kind of tear up. that was adorable.

also, loved everyone, from wayne to chris and sharks being supportive of bowie and raj, but how much chris emphasized his hatred of emma and chase's relationship. i also hate them, by the way. emma was cool until folding all the way back for chase.

very mixed on ripper. on one side, he is annoying and one big fart joke, but on the other side, he seems like he could genuinely be sweet if he tried hard enough - or not at all! he didn't even want to help millie, but she still found him helpful when giving her advice on how to win priya over again!

weirdly enough, found no new ships except for rajbow. saw some people shipping priya and millie, as well as wayne and raj, but honestly - and this is VERY unusual for me to say - i think those two duos are way better off as platonic! of course, massive respect for those who ship them, they have some cute moments that i guess you could take for romantic if you wanted to, but they're not my style.

the whole goat thing was hilarious. the goats going >:O at bowie saying he has eaten and will eat goat again was just so good.

the pretty boys need to try to make it further, man. justice for caleb. a lot of eliminations were kind of unfair to me, actually, especially axel's, and for ripper i really felt like he could've gone another time. i've already mentioned zee. *sobs* zee............... he is the winner in my eyes. (is it obvious i have a favorite?) (i think it's bowie but zee is tying with him. zee <333)

i kind of disliked millie at the start but hearing her mini-speech about her own insecurities and thinking she's above everyone else...argh i kin her so hard stop she deserves the world.

chef? was actually interested?? in their safety??? up until the finale of course but i found that so weird

i screamed in shock and disappointment when bowie didn't win, but i kind of knew deep down inside they were bold enough to add an openly gay contestant, and although i was certain he would make it to the finale, i was expecting the win to go to priya because they wouldn't go much further than that. next season, though :')

i was very surprised with how major some of the roles were, and how insignificant others were! i feel like lauren, mk and nichelle were hyped up a lot, but i barely got attached to them, while i just saw one or two posts of priya and millie, and assumed they would not even make it to the final ten. i also thought some ships would have more interactions due to some fandom posts - nichelle and axel... the potential was THERE... but they barely got a WORD........

what i'm thinking for next season:

chase and emma break up all over again, but (HOPEFULLY.) this time it's for good, and emma and bowie get a chance to properly reunite and become friends again.

bowie and raj will also be an official couple, but because of that, i doubt chris would let them on the same team.

it would also be fun to see wayne on the same team as bowie, and not raj! bowie talks his ears off about how great raj is, and then wayne does the same (but platonically) and it's great. everyone hates them because all they hear about is raj, raj, raj.

caleb - please, please, god - makes it a bit further this time, and damien makes it to the final five! everyone is shocked, including him.

my ideal final five would be raj, wayne, bowie, zee, and damien, but i seriously doubt that would happen because they always keep things equal between the genders, so, for the sake of the next point, let's say it's raj, axel, zee, nichelle, and bowie.

my ideal elimination order would be:

mk ("we don't want you spying on us again, that's gross")

lauren (costs them the challenge because she got carried away being creepy)

caleb (the votes are rigged against him yet again, this time by julia! goddamn it julia)

ripper (his pride got in the way and cost them the challenge, but he managed to get a bit of redemption in the episodes he was in),

millie (too injured from a challenge to continue, urges priya to keep pushing forward)

julia (people get tired of her bullshit much quicker this time and vote her off before she can cause any more unwanted drama, but spoiler alert, bowie's still here, so you did nothing, guys)

chase (right after emma's major breakup with him! ouch.)

priya (takes it VERY. HARD.)

emma (the votes are rigged against her)

damien (he put up a good fight)

bowie ("BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEE" - raj).

the final three are raj, axel, and zee. raj has an alliance with wayne, bowie, emma and zee - zee joined because he wanted to make up for the last failed alliances - and so, raj and zee team up to get axel out (because they literally couldn't otherwise).

side note, bowie still got voted out because nichelle helped by rigging the votes from afar for axel. what the fuck.

so, for the first time in total drama history, the final two are of the same gender! lots of angry letters for that one.

it seems that zee has the win for a while - against all odds! - but, to make up for his boyfriend losing completely last time, raj takes the win, and splits the money between himself, wayne, and bowie! there's a remaining dollar in there somewhere, and zee's mad happy to get it. (raj actually gives him more, but that's between you and me.)

and that's it! i'm obviously very biased because i have favorites, other opinions are welcome if you wanna discuss :D

My thoughts while watching (under the cut cause it got long whoops)

Episode 1:

not the budget Timothee Chalamet - that tracks actually with Dash LMAO

Lily is totally tinsel gal

i know changes are necessary, but the change of the message bugged me for absolutely no specific reason

BOOMER MY FAVE - why is he cutting the pizza when it's already in the box though? what kind of pizza shop is this? adsgfs

oh his dad's RICH RICH with that apartment in NYC

he's so pretentious, god that was me as a teenager, which may explain why sometimes I hate him

bro Lily is so much more suave so far, i hope this is just how he's reading it and it changes when it switches to her POV cause that'd be sick storytelling

can't believe they wouldn't show Santa being groped by a teenager, were they afraid they would need to up the rating then? asfsdfssdf

we love Lily rambling at The Strand

Episode 3:

the backstory of Lily I CAN'T SHE DESERVED BETTER (although i do miss the Shrilly story)

the note on the mirror is so cute I'm dead

LILY'S DANCING - it's so aggressive i love it

Episode 4:

LILY'S AUNT MY QUEEN (did they change her name? i thought her name was Ida... either way i'm obsessed)

this episode is very similar to the book

the characters seem so much less pretentious when acted instead of read LOL

gingerbread house already! i wanted to see Snarly! hope we still get to see the disaster muppet

okay the believe scene was cute, i'll admit it

Episode 5:

i love him telling all of his problems to the mochi group

NOT THE GRANNY THROWING IT IN THE TRASH LOOOOL

NOT THE APPLAUSE - the mochi scene is too funny

SNARLY THE MUPPET MY BELOVED - i won't allow for his destruction - oh thank god he's still intact

fucking Edgar - i don't trust that he's kept that bracelet

god Dash's dad is insufferable

and so Sofia makes an appearance

NOT THE SNOWMAN SLAUGHTER - AMAZING ABSOLUTELY AMAZING

if i saw this girl at a slam poetry fest i'd be living for the drama - but also she's kinda killing it, go Lily!

ooh plot twist of Sofia moving back - also i absolutely love exes being friends and not getting back together

Episode 6:

absolutely love the dress - wore something similar this christmas myself (except it had a black base because the christmas tree look was too much for me lol)

yikes this party's gonna go bad

okay they're actually kinda cute talking to each other

DASH NO (but this song slaps) (also you're telling me this is gonna go down at a museum...SURE)

Episode 7:

i may have a preconceived vendetta against edgar but him kissing a clearly drunk girl is... YIKES

ok but how long did they kiss for before he came to this revelation

the cab scene is the worst scene for secondhand embarrassment they're both acting like fools (i guess they are teenagers in a tv show... but still)

DASH THIS IS A NO BOOMER SLANDER HOUSEHOLD

ok but giving her a week to move was kind of a dick move on the parents side

i thought this was the last episode for a minute and was like "THEY ENDED IT LIKE THAT" which i was so ready for but shocked about, but then the next episode started LOL

Episode 8:

THEY GOT THE JONAS BROTHERS FOR THIS

"you came to a jonas brothers concert for me 🥺" boomer my love <3

are they just in the jb's trailer????

this scene with dash and nick is the funniest thing "thank you nick jonas" I'M SCREAMING

Lily continually calling out people in front of a crowd is so fucking funny

the brother not even reading the notebook...couldn't be me i'm too nosey (nevermind it took him 2 minutes to do it)

not the montage for a 4 hour series

the themed tree is actually cute
