We're extremely excited for Rites of Descendancy to finish casting, but we're ALSO looking for roles to fill for Season 4 of Syntax! All of the roles posted will be involved in both Season 4 and Season 5 of Syntax, and vary on recording times/length. As per usual, these roles will be paid depending on sponsorships, ad revenue, and Patreon income!

Hexpress Hotline is a new comedy-fantasy fiction podcast following the 9-5 shifts of an office of witches running a hotline to "hex peoples exes," with varying levels of success. We‘ve almost finished writing season 1, so now it‘s time to get it cast, with the aim to record in term 3.

If you‘ve ever wanted to try voice acting, this is the perfect place to start. We have roles ranging from just a few lines to supporting leads, so there’s something for absolutely everyone.

Seriously, this gal is the cat’s meow. We ain’t even kitten.

For those not yet in the know, Yuki: Space Assassin is an established 18+ sci-fi podcast. We even made it to #3(!) on Spotify’s fiction charts, until someone realized we were way too hot for Spotify.

Expect more casting calls in the future, but today we’re on the prowl for a voice for Lieutenant Kiza, military hardass and alien catgirl.

Please be aware that Yuki is extremely adult, and we’re only looking for actors comfortable with voicing graphic material.

What does someone need to audition for the thing?

Hi there, the casting call doc has the basics of what I'm looking for, but you should have a microphone that is separate from your computer's in-built mic and not a gamer/work headset, built in phone mic, etc. This post has a lot of varying podcast mics, which can give you an idea of what kind of equipment folks I work with record on.

Since I saw someone mention it in the reblogs - I have recorded lots of stuff successfully with folks with USB mics (you just want to do regular audio checks before every recording session because I find that when they or the connection ports fail they fail in weird, abrupt, audible ways). Not every USB mic is "good" (don't get a Snowball ICE), but using USB equipment is not disqualifying.

You're also going to want to have a quiet space - a lot of indie folks, self included, use closets because they're small and easy to treat by hanging up thick sweater or blankets to dull the amount of sound bounce you get. There are a lot of good articles about sound treatment on a small or nonexistant budget out there.

You'll also need to have weekend North American daytime availability to particiapte in video/voice calls during our recording season. Depending on the role, you may only need a day or two of availability, but Nelson, Connie or the teens will be multi-session commitments.
