Someone on tiktok said that Po had plot armor against Tai Lung in their final fight and omg it’s been bugging me so bad since I saw it.
Po did not have plot armor. And that fight wasn’t supposed to be big and dramatic, that was Tai Lung vs Shifu, Po’s fight is SUPPOSED to have that goofy comical element to it because that ENTIRE FIGHT showcases everything that he is and has learned from the very beginning. It’s his entire kung-fu journey wrapped into one fight literally from the moment he is out of breath going up the stairs and bouncing back down them to the very last moment when he sends Tai Lung to the fucking shadow realm with his skadoosh.
It isn’t supposed to be a big serious dramatic face off. Po has learned everything that Tai Lung failed to and while Tai Lung has all the technique Po is able to beat him by using everything else he learned on his kung-fu journey and that’s what makes that fight not only fun but meaningful.

You know we've made jokes about Po not realizing he was adopted but we don't talk about Mr Ping being surprised that Po knew he was adopted.

Went to see the new movie and was so disappointed. Po literally just became the true complete dragon warrior in KFP 3. Forcing him to pass the torch right away was the stupidest thing , Po is young mid 20s, why does he need to pass the torch, when there doesn't even need to be a dragon warrior cause there wasn't one before him to pass the torch. Anyway I can rant all day, especially about how much I don't want to see Zhen again, but I won't. After I got home I re-watched the previous three back to back, twice! Now, I have inner peace.
Anyway, here's some art I finished featuring some of my favorite expressions from the movies.

«see you on the other side, dragon warrior.»
the sweetest scene. i already love the fans' idea that this phrase may refer us to po's future at the end of the second trilogy, where he finds himself in the spirit world and there he meets tai lung and they eat noodles.
somehow, despite the fact that po's avowed personal enemy is shen, tai lung in the last film was able to touch po's story closer than any of the villains. and all this in a minute of interaction. goat!!

The Legendary Urn of Whispering Warriors. Said to contain the souls of the entire Tenshu Army.
Broken 4 times! First in KFP 1, twice in KFP 3 (the second time, it's just audio) and most recently in KFP 4.
Bonus: poor Zeng has to mend it! (end credits of KFP 1)
How'd the souls get back into the urn each time it broke? 🤔
I think it should henceforth be called the legendary Broken Urn.

Like Fathers, Like Sons

If we ever get Tai back, maybe he & Shifu can bond over taking woks / pans to the face from Po & Ping respectively. Lmao

Shifu fails, not Po
I think my favorite moment of Kung Fu Panda is when Po tries to run away from the temple because Tai Lung is on his way and we see the first argument between Po and Shifu instead of one-sided meanspirited comments from Shifu.
Po is finally pissed at Shifu since he was willing to learn while Shifu just tried to drive him away. Shifu insists that he can turn Po into the Dragon Warrior. But when Po asks him how exactly he intend to do it?
All Shifu can say is "I don't know."
Because it was never Po who was the problem. He was not a bad student, Shifu is the one failing Po since he doesn't know how to teach him.
