I'm coping real hard here, but could the Collaborator system be our ticket to "playable males" in HI3rd?

Apparently the Part 2 protagonist won't be released as a Valkyrie but rather as a Collaborator (ELF analogue). The Collaborators are the joint partner in the fancy Astral Ring attacks, but they'll also be playable in certain open-world areas on Mars, and if you use the newer main menu mechanic then when you open the menu (aka going to the "bridge") then these Collaborators will stay on the screen, basically doing the same thing as the current system where Valks can appear on the bridge of Hyperion.

If this is the case, then I can imagine that with the Male Dreamseeker being a Collaborator and not a "Valkyrie" nor a special unit like Adam, then perhaps other males (Otto, Welt, Siegfried, Lyle, Raiden Ryoma, Kevin, Kosma, Su, etc.) could also be released as "Collaborators", giving them a limited gameplay role but also letting them be controllable in certain open-world areas and appear on the bridge.

Since past surveys in CN showed that there wasn't support for playable male Valks, then the Collaborator system could be the loophole that lets Mihoyo release male characters as part of a gacha system without making them part of the same core gameplay system that all the Valkyries are a part of.

This also means that perhaps past open-world-ish areas can be updated to allow Collaborators to roam around. This could include St. Freya, Schicksal HQ, the Elysian Realm, New Atra, maybe a future release of the AE Salt Lake City base, and so on.

I had a plot bunny idea

TW: usual cult stuff, hints of yandere

-gn reader (I tried making it gender-neutral if there is a comment that is off please tell me and I will fix it)

Creator Reader Pov:

-You were just a regular person who one day woke up in Teyvat out of all places

-You realized you still had all your game features and figured it was one of the perks of being isekaied like in other isekai stories

-The whole thing is weird and why you were here, you had no idea

-After the novelty wears off you take some time mourning the loss of your previous life and the people you knew

-After that you try to get a semblance of a normal life like getting a job and trying to be independent

-Despite having a game system you do not want to be an adventurer or learn how to fight it's not for you

-You were previously an average civilian and raised as one it would be hard to become a fighter now

-Instead you gravitated towards creating things, you found an apprentice position in a clockwork shop in Fontaine

-It is fun and you get to tinker with gears and clocks, learning how various machines work and how to create your own items

-overall you are content

-Except weird people occasionally come by the shop you work at including the Iudex of Fontaine which had both you and the shopkeeper sweating the first few times

-Yet the man who insisted you call him by his name Neuvilette is really polite and nice to talk to, soon you warmed up to him

-You could not help the feeling as if you knew him from before, as if you forgot something, you were unusually fond of him.

-Your other "clients" if you could call them that were more intimidating, you had no idea what they were doing in this shop and it scared you

-The Fatui Harbringers occasionally stopped by the shop to buy a trinket or two before leaving, it honestly scared you and the thaught of running away to another nation had crossed your mind once or twice yet you liked your job and your boss and you made some good friends here so it was hard to leave

-Overall you were doing okay

-Except it seems the people here almost in a cult-like manner worship a creator that was never in the game lore

-It is said they resided in Celestia and not many people actually got to see them, not that it mattered for a nobody like you

Tsaritsa Pov:

-The Tsaritsa knew their so called creator was fake

-She knew she had to get rid of the fake creator as they and Celestia had caused irreparable damage

-Even if she had to stain her hands

-One day it happened something shifted in the earth, air, water- no the whole of Teyvat

-It happened so softly like a small snowflake landing on the ground

-She was hypnotized as if a siren was beckoning her she found you.

-You were their true creator

-You were wearing apprenticeship clothes tinkering with something in your hands and deeply concentrated

-She wondered if that is how you created the universe with careful and steady hands guiding and shaping it to your will.

-She wanted to take you away from this. . . small shop, yet she knew begrudgingly you were safe here, if anyone were to find out a sliver of your existence. . .

-You were safer hidden among mortals

-It left a bitter taste in her mouth

Neuvilette Pov

-It just happened one day, out of the blue, he could feel it in the shift of the waters

-The way Furina shifted and turned her head unable to sit still confirmed he was not the only one feeling this

-Something happened and he had no idea what exactly happened

-There was this familiar presence this comforting feeling, ancient old instincts waking up

-He followed it without thought until he came upon an in inconspicuous clockwork shop

-He was confused but did not hesitate to step inside

-Then he saw you and everything clicked

-It was you his creator his universe his everything

-You were back

-It seems in this incarnation you were just a human

-That was fine he was oaky with that as long as you were here

-His heart ached seeing you

-He wanted to hug and ask you to never leave again to always stay by his side, for you to comfort him after what had happened and console him

-He should take you way somewhere safer somewhere better not here-

-But weren't you safer hiding among mortals, a part of his mind whispered, no one would suspect you being here even the fake (he cursed them) would not think of finding you here, if he brought you back with him it would create more attention on you

-Attention that would cause you trouble

-He left with defeat on his steps

-It was later he would met the Tsaritsa and a deal was struck

-All for your sake

Tears of Themis, expectations vs reality

(after about as many chapters as you can grind without anything in your card deck)

Artem: expected to hate him and failed. From card art he looked like The Abusive Tyrant who bosses everyone around and his respect towards MC lies around the Mariana Trench level... you know, that so insanely popular type. But instead I got a caring and bit protective boss who believes in MC and praises her. And also blushes easily. I'm bought. Plain + blushy, a good combo.

Vyn: expected to like him because he looked like the calm and supportive type, maybe a bit playful, but disliked him instead. The audacity of being late for professional meeting for what, for playing with cards. Rude.

Luke: expected to like him, he's the boy next door type, and I'm incredibly captivated by plainness. I know almost nothing of him yet and what I know is that he hasn't had an opportunity to have a proper personality yet.

Marius: expected to be relatively neutral or dislike him and that's exactly what happened. A whole chapter was dedicated to him and I still forgot he existed.

quick and super low-effort edit of Helia's outfit

this isn't a matter of censorship like "omg she's showing skin!11!!!", rather I'm just kinda tired of every single Hoyoverse chick and her grandmother being given clothing that's half-uniform and half-party outfit. like make up your mind Mihoyo, is she going to the club or going to fight aliens and crap? T_T

Helia even has the whole "exposed shoulders under a coat" thing going on. I'm pretty sure there's a fundamental principle of the Imaginary Tree that states that any female-presenting sentient being that has an even slightly complicated design (so basically not an NPC ) MUST have exposed shoulders, even if they're under a loose coat. it was kinda funny at first and like "huh weird but cool I guess" but now it's getting soooooooooo exhausting seeing every new Hoyoverse character and being able to perfectly predict the whole heels + exposed shoulder + tummy-or-hip windows + giant tits (on most characters) thing they have going on.

like, I love EVERYTHING else about Helia's design. I love the dual-wielding pistols she has like Kiana, and her gameplay seems super cool. Easily the Part 2 character I'm looking forward to getting the most so far. The colors are neat, the actual outfit itself is pretty nice and I like the detailing and textures. I love all of it except the midriff because it just feels so out of place.

For comparison, Valkyrie Ranger had an exposed midriff but it was covered with sheer fabric so that it at least felt like a coherent outfit of some sort. It's still kinda funky when you think about it too hard, but at least it reads like a uniform when you glance at it or see it in-game. Ditto with Void Drifter.

You don't need to show tons of skin to make a character visually appealing. Maybe their internal stats show that horny whales like exposed tummies more than coherent design? idk >.>

Raiden lost her sister, had to abandon Scaramouche because of his softness and still feels guilty about it, and her one friend, Yae Miko did absolute jack shit. I feel like Sara was more of a friend to Raiden then Yae Miko was. Raiden is still trying to fix her mistakes on Inuzuma too! At least she is TRYING

Now if anyone needs a break, its Nahida! She was picked as the new Archon AGAINST HER WILL and people soon forgot about her?? While all she could do is sit back and try to her best??? YES FINALLY YESSS I adore Kusanali! I do dislike her design because I'm tired of Mihoyo's colorism and creepy sexualizing (especially with the kids) but I love her character! Especially in the new archon quest, she's so sweet, considerate, and does her best to help out wherever she can. And to have the mentality of a child while doing this? She's incredible! Kusanali and Klee solo the world yes PLEASE

I see you play Genshin impact, a truly refined gentlemen or gentlewomen or gentle person? I don’t know what I’m doing 😭😭 anyways I was pulling on klee’s banner at 52-53 pity and got a golden wish and it was…KEQING 😭😭😐 I was seriously about to delete that game. I have been thinking of quitting recently but stopped just for Klee and or yoimiya but since my pity is ruined (If I didn’t get Klee I would have tried and gotten Yoimiya, I was fine with both.) I think I’ll finish the event and then quit. Ever since I joined IDV it’s been more fun than Genshin, this happens sometimes I get invested in one game and then when it gets boring I quit and focus on the other I already have. But I genuinely have been feeling like Genshin is a chore and no longer is actually fun…so I think I’ll delete it after I finish writing this even if I just say I may delete after the summer event (the one with all the characters from different regions y’know) ALSO I OFFICIALLY HATE KEQING 😤❗️❗️ - ☁️

I don't really understand the pity system just yet, but from what I can tell from my own experience with pulling and with others-

I HATE WHEN THAT HAPPENS. You cry and pray and get your small hopes up only to pull a C4 Bennett (Love him but Kazu/Mona plz come home 😚)

And yeah no this but with idv and Genahin switched! Though I can see what makes Genshin such a chore. I'm trying to get to AR 28 rn and oh my god Mihoyo I JUST WANT TO SEE MY SILLY LITTLE CHARACTERS IN SILLY LITTLE MAIN STORY ADVENTURE QUESTS.

I HATE RUNNING AROUND DOING PEOPLES ERRANDS AND FIGHTING HILLICHURLS. ISTG IF THEY AREN'T GUARDING A CHEST WHEN IM DONE WITH THEM IM GONNA UNALIVE MYSELF.

Idv is fun to play bc you aren't forced to run around and do things until things happen. You learn and get better with strategy and time. Genshin is fun bc, well, its anime and free world. Who doesn't want that?
