I came across my SVSSS Xi Yang Yang AU again and I love the idea so much because it’s mashing two series I love together, but also it’s pretty…cringey. 😂

I know, I know; embrace the cringe and cringe culture is dead and all that… But it’s so random and I am still very much alive so can’t help it if I get embarrassed haha. I thought I’d share a “preview” of some of the designs anyway—at least before I can overthink it any further or regret it and delete it—but yeah!

weslie is often portrayed as such a "perfect" character (fits the main character trope so well), like a role model, and this was one of the first seasons that really, TRULY, dug into his insecurities and flaws. apparently it's canon that he fears that he won't be useful to his friends anymore someday, that wolffy is still out to get him, that his parents are going to permanently leave him... all of that under a smile.

To wrap up, I didn't draw for the latest season on the ocean—but there've been so many designs and looks and fits for Xi Yang Yang throughout his show's 18 years (plus this season seems to sort of just be classic Xi Yang Yang with a surfboard so far 😆), so naturally I couldn't draw every one ahaha.

Honestly forgot Tumblr was a platform, so yeah. I adore the 喜羊羊与灰太狼 with all my heart. It’s a very important part of my childhood (actually very small cause I completely forgot it I’m just being dramatic), I got back into it late summer of 2022 after stumbling across some pvs and animation memes on bilibili. I was all like “huh this is familiar…oh OOOHHHH it’s the sheepppp” proceeded to watched way too many amvs. Since then I’ve been scrounging everywhere for more content, from where I first found it on bilibili to instagram, weibo, xiaohongshu, and whatever else I have.
