The method we prefer to use with Lily of the Valley is indirect, due the plant's potential toxicity. We place our liquid in a glass jar and set it amongst the plants in our garden.

For each Plant Spirit Elixir we make we meditate with each plant and give gratitude for the path forward with the particular spirit, an offering of blessed water, and a piece of quartz crystal.

We let the jars sit in the presence of the Plant Spirit for 13 days. We use a quality organic Brandy as a preservative in this formulation.

Seventeenth-century botanist and physician Nicholas Culpeper said that “It, without doubt, strengthens the brain and renovates a weak memory. It’s been hard to find the right words to express my last few weeks here in the Peruvian Amazon, immersed in the sacredness of plant medicine. I’ve been ruminating on the right words to say for days but no words seem to fully encapsulate my recent journey and felt-experience working directly with the Shapibo people and their ancestral traditions. Maybe there aren’t words for it. Perhaps my experience lives in the realm of the nonverbal experience. A felt sense that continues to speak to me through my cells that tingle with grace and gratitude. This experience has left my heart, soul and spirit are woven in Awe.

Gratitude to @metsa_adama and Tyler and the rest of the @loscielos.peru family for opening your hearts and homes to your Earth Hospital. Gratitude to the ancestral wisdom of the Shapibo tribes.
