I spent the past week and a half working on this little gal and I love her so much 🥹 Here’s my Stuffed Owlbear Toy from Baldur’s Gate 3!

I wanted to be as accurate as possible (within reason) so this became a very mixed-media project. Materials include:

• Acrylic yarn

• Cotton stuffing

• Plush knit fabric

• Leather scraps

• Blue cotton thread

• Various polyester thread

• Brass screw-back studs

• Worbla

• PlaidFX acrylic paints

• ‘Complicated Knots’ crochet pattern

I haven’t picked a name yet, but she is already one of my favorite cosplay projects ever ❤️ I carried the in-game item with me throughout half my first playthrough and now I can in real life too 😂

Finished commission: Hunter's cape from The Owl House! This one was a pretty simple comm, I used a mystery white polyester from my stash (feels like gabardine) and then I digitized a screencap that the client sent me for the emblem on his cape and used printable heat transfer vinyl to apply it. But the vinyl ended up not working! So I hand painted it on over the very faded vinyl transfer (with PlaidFX paint, which I then heat sealed). In the end it came out nice, but I cannot describe the sheer panic I felt when I realized the vinyl transfer wasn't going to work lol.

Finally got the lightsaber done! Here is a quick video of what it looks like. I put the 3d parts together by using @surebonder glue, and it worked really well. Fully painted using @plaidfx paint. I air brushed and hand painted this. Let me know what you think.

Finally, the breastplate for Venusaur is done! This project has me thinking about so many other original gijinka designs I'd like to tackle, but for now I'm just happy to approach the finish line with this one.⁣ ⁣ Finishing a cosplay is really, REALLY hard for me without a looming deadline, and I'm sure others can relate. I wanted to make sure I highlighted my dude @mrtetriscosplay for his work on the Golden Fleece. He eyeballed me from New York to make sure the sizing was correct for my stature and I couldn't be more proud of him. Amicia’s Crossbow from A Plague Tale: Requiem

This took me about 33 hours to craft over the course of a month! I used a combination of EVA foam, worbla, plastidip, plaidFX paints, and a few other materials to make it :) I think my favorite part is either the wood texture or the faux metal decorations on the side. 

While there are a few things I would like to change, I think this prop is one of my best in terms of proportion & accuracy to the source material. Now I just need to decide if I’ll make a costume to go along with it...

Sorry it took so long. I've been dealing with some medical issues, but it's finally put together and working!!!! The @surebonder glue is amazing, and I love it! I can't wait to use more of this glue on this project! Next up is prime and paint. I'll be using @plaidfx for that.
