ABSOLUTELY you may pick two. my belovedest @asteria-argo also sent me an ask wanting to know more about 7 (CHAOS SIBLINGS ROAD TRIP FT THE UGLIEST VAN IN EXISTENCE) so i shall consolidate and detail 4 here, and then talk about 7 in another post. (mantra voice) i am good at delegating space and time.

so. number 4. jamie tartt redemption speed run ft. roy's blankie

this fic was brought into existence after me and the lovely @lady-of-the-spirit bounced a brain cell back and forth because how DARE they make roy burn his blankie we would have gone APE SHIT this is NOT okay omg what if JAMIE snatched blankie from the curse fire BEFORE it had a chance to get BURNT to ASH.

and of course, it had to be angsty. so jamie snatches blankie, and squirrels blankie away in his backpack expecting to casually drop it into roy's locker the next morning, and then--

and then, the next morning, jamie's on the train back to manchester and his ears are ringing and he can't quite feel his fingers, can he. and maybe some music will help. it'll--it'll deaden him to the world, it'll keep him distracted from the fact that at the end of these train tracks there's a monster waiting for him. so he opens his backpack to root around for his airpods, and instead his hand twists around blankie.

so this fic follows jamie through the summer between s1 and s2, where he's isolated from the team in manchester but this time he's got blankie with him. and he should feel stupid about it, shouldn't he, a grown man needing a blanket to fall asleep, but--

but it's roy kent's blankie. and if roy once needed it, then maybe there's nothing wrong with jamie for needing it, too.

yadda yadda, he eventually realizes he should, like. actually give roy blankie back. thus ensues a convoluted series of shenanigans and tomfoolery wherein jamie reaches out to dani (the one richmond player who doesn't absolute Loathe Him) and tries to explain the whole situation, expecting dani to ask no questions and take blankie back to roy, only for dani to get Very Concerned and ask jamie if everything's okay up in manchester.

(everything is not okay up in manchester.)

cue dani recruiting half of the team to try and figure out exactly what is going on with jamie. cue team bonding. cue lots of crying. cue cuddling under blankets and blankie. cue..... so much. So Much.

While searching for shelter for the winter, Oikawa and Iwaizumi run into two other survivors—who, incidentally, have already secured a safehouse. Much to Kageyama’s chagrin, Sugawara offers to let them stay. And, much to Oikawa’s chagrin, Iwaizumi accepts.
