PIKE!!! honestly I love this guy, he feels like an actual character until the other students who were mentioned briefly or not even at all. Also since in the gns it shows him getting pushed down by a fallen tree in the attack, he has dendrophobia. Not that he's scared of specifically trees themselves but rather them falling, which is why he doesn't go outside much.

peril^^ i feel like every wof fan had a peril phase (or is still in their peril phase :'). all those peril amvs def reshaped fanon peril A LOT. tbh i wish more ppl would talk ab her reaction to being in water and having fish touch her. like theres this sort of helplessness that comes w/ her character yk?

pike^^ OKAY. SO. during my first read thru in elementary i was eh ab his character. now i hc him as having many siblings and he was compared to his sibs a lot. just his behaviors in general make me think that he might have an inferiority complex.

if the many siblings thing were true and whatnot he would have been a great foil to turtle. since one got too much attention and one got none. i cant find anything on his family, so i suspect that his situation is similar to indigo (where his family isnt 'high ranking' and shit).

he acts very overzealous around anemone but i think thats due to his like, urge to not 'fail' and disappoint people? esp if his siblings also wanted that position (being a guard to the current queen's most viable heir would probably boost ur status)

Keep in mind that a lot of these have virtually no usable character information available beyond one or two short quotes, especially the poor sods in the copper and quartz winglets. That means some of this data is going to be made up and will likely conflict with any established popular headcanons. Just trying to make sense of this for myself.

This has been swirling in my mind and I need to hear your that's on it, especially flame fans.

Even though Bigtail was in the book for like, a quarter of the page, he seemed like he would be a friend to Flame.

The vibes he gave me was, traumatized person who wants to help others cope with theirs. And I feel like he would see the troubles Flame had, and become kind of like his therapist. (Mayjor thing the JMA needs) (also Flame would open up to him if he stayed alive longer and actually got to know each other.)

And this scene has just played out in my head over and over again, and I might make it into a comic. It's where it's late at night and Flame and Bigtail can't sleep because of Pikes loud snoring, and they both agree that it sounds like the volcano. Then they have like, a small bonding conversation and Bigtail would share some stories about the volcano and his life there, blah blah blah and all that. Then they would become friends :D
