PART 2. I know this is a long post to read, but last Saturday’s Juneteenth Kickoff Celebration for San Francisco Mayor London Breed was such an amazing event to be a part of, I just have so much to say and share about it! I had the pleasure to DJ this event last year on the front steps of SF City Hall, which was awesome, but with this year being the first year anniversary of Juneteenth being signed into a National Holiday by President Joe Biden, this year’s celebration hit way different!! This was probably the 4th or 5th event that I’ve done with Mayor Breed speaking, and I must say, I absolutely adore her!! Being from San Francisco myself, it warms my heart to see and hear a homegrown, African American, female, that’s so articulate, and truly invested in the city see represents. And especially the under served black community. is so inspiring! I’m so proud of her. She is so genuine and down to earth. And for all of you that weren’t able to be in attendance to see and hear this monumental event, I’ve shared 10 lengthy videos so you can see and hear what I mean, and why I feel the way I do about this event, and Mayor Breed. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. And lastly, let me just say that none of this would be possible without the hard work and dedication of Ms. Phelicia Jones, from Wealth and Disparities in the Black Community. Ms. Jones is the biggest advocate for the African American community that you’ll probably never hear about.
