P.H was such an underused asset in the EPF. like she had a role back in the ds games but as the years passed by disney just forgot about her. AND the concept of the elite puffles were cool and would’ve made such a great addition to club penguin. i honestly would’ve preferred adopting those puffles rather than the weird ass looking dog/cat ones

Gambit originally was going to be frozen, but I decided against it recently in favor of them nearly being captured and getting narrowly saved by PH and the Elite Puffles...she managed to incapacitate Herbert just long enough for them to make a speedy getaway on the Snowtrekker.

During Blackout, PH was stationed at the EPF Puffle Vet Station - particularly because it was the safest place to watch over the elite puffles (and the puffles of agents, regardless of whether or not they were captured as some were willingly given to her in case anything bad happened). It wasn't ideal, since there was no living quarters, but it was better than nothing, plus she had access to puffle medicine and plenty of food in storage for puffles.

Paige was underestimated by Herbert, because while he was aware of the Elite Puffles since she wasn't a lead at the time and she "only" trained puffles to him, he wasn't as concerned about her getting in his way as much as say, Dot or JPG. I wouldn't say he wasn't planning to ever catch her, but she was definetely a lower priority despite her saving Gambit. After all, why waste energy catching two measly penguins when the big dogs (Rolly, Rookie, Dot, JPG, and the Director) are still running around?

Gambit, being good with puffles and wanting to show their gratitude to PH for saving their life helped out with looking after all of the puffles in their care.

Gambit tried to keep in touch with the other agents, which became increasingly difficult due to obvious reasons...

Gambit was outraged when Rolly told them how NA treated him, and firmly believes that no matter how much NA disliked him, they shouldn'tve ever used it as an excuse to kick him when he was down.

He messed up once again.

Rookie sat on the soft white sand at the beach, how could he mess up such an important mission! All he had to do was keep the dirty crab on its cage and now it’s gone because of him. How is he supposed to be a great director if he can’t even be a good agent. The soothing sea was the only thing that could calm his nerves, but he still was devastated.

Y/n was taking a short walk with their puffle around the town. When they arrived at the beach, they spotted a familiar green penguin who lazily playing on the sand. Smiling, they went over to greet him but suddenly felt something strange about him.

‘Rookie, hey! What are you doing here all alone on the beach?’ you asked softly, surprising him from his train of thought turning his attention on you. His body then relaxes after realizing it was you and your loyal puffle by your side.

‘Oh hi, I just, er… wanted to build myself a sandcastle.’ He said faking out a smile, his tone wasn’t its cheery self.

‘You… okay?’

‘Huh? What makes you think that? I’m perfectly fine, see!’ He smiled at you widely trying to prove that there’s nothing wrong. You studied him carefully until an idea popped to your mind.

‘Hey Rookie, you wouldn’t mind watching my puffle for a while? I won’t take long! It’ll be just for a few moments, I promise!’

Rookie chuckled a bit and nods, you hand him the red leash that was attached on your beloved pet and off you went. The green penguin went back in constructing his sandcastle when suddenly he felt a small nudge on his side, the puffle had a shovel on its mouth giving him a sign that it wanted to help finishing the castle. This made Rookie smile at the kind offer and gave the tiny puffle a few pats on its head.

When you finally came back from who knows where, you hid one flipper on your back as you got closer to Rookie. You smile at the adorable scene, seeing the two of them trying to finish and create a majestic sandcastle was simply beautiful.

‘Amazing you two!’ you cheered, giving Rookie a few pats on his back, ‘Thank you for watching over them. See you around Rook!’

Rookie stayed at the beach for a while until he decided it was time to get back to the facility, he didn’t want to face them, he feels so embarrassed for messing up their last mission, but he must do this. Teleporting himself at the building only to find it almost half empty.

‘Heya Rooks, glad to you see again! Ready to continue with the mission?’ He greeted by the puffle expert herself.

‘Mhmm, um, where’s the rest of the group?’

‘Ah yes, they are at the mountain. They found something suspicious up there. C’mon, help me take these boxes, asap! They are waiting for us!’

As Rookie turned to make his way, he heard a soft chuckle and felt a tap on his shoulder, when he turned around, he was engulfed into a hug, the puffle handler smiled at the young rookie before proceeding to pick up one of the boxes. Strange. Why would they give him a hug?

He was so confused and that went on during his short trip, many agents would give him friendly hugs, the little puffles would bounce on him snuzzling him with their furry faces, even JPG joined the bandwagon! Well, he more likely gave Rookie a few pats on his shoulder. All this kind gestures made the tiny penguin feel happy, his confidence that he once lost was back!

When the mission was finally finished, Ph wanted to treat Rookie for doing an incredible job at their mission, as they went on their way to the pizza parlor, they spotted y/n and their beloved puffle. Rookie excitedly called for them, his heart raced with joy.

‘Oh Rookie, glad to see you again! You look radiant!’

‘Y/n today was fantastic! Everyone was so kind to me! Oh, Me and Ph are heading to the pizza parlor, you should come with us!’

‘Oh me? I mean, yes sure! I would love to join!’ Y/n smiled sheepishly while rubbing the back of their neck; pink hue spread across their face.

As they went on their way to the pizza parlor, Rookie suddenly felt something itchy on his back. He stopped on his tracks as he tried to remove the object, in one swift motion he pulled out what looks like a piece of paper, the words “Hug me” was written on it. Rookie furrowed his brows, wondering how this paper ended up on his back. Just when he was about to throw it away, he noticed that there was something written on it.

‘Rookie,

If you were able to find this letter, I just wanted to thank you for caring at my puffle while I was away. When I saw you at the beach it pained me in seeing you at that state, so I decided to play an innocent prank just to see that smile on your face that I’ll never grow tired of.

I couldn’t find the right words, so I thought maybe actions speaks louder than words. I really wanted you to know that you’re special, there will never be a penguin who’s as sweet and loyal like you. Don’t forget that there are others who truly care about you.

This made Rookie smile widely, bringing the letter to his chest near his heart. Butterflies began to flutter on his stomach as he looks up at y/n as they converse with Ph. What is this pretty feeling? Rookie never experienced this before. It’s a strange feeling yet he’s willing to receive it with open arms.
