@gontagokuhara-week Day 7 - crossover / (fusion?) au / free day
I'm a Persona 5 fan, and I also love putting my favourite characters into other settings... especially if they're a bit less despair-inducing than Danganronpa lmao.
So, Gonta as a Phantom Thief (because why the hell not)!! I've had this in mind for a while, and it's definitely not a final design or anything, but I like how it's turning out so far.
Warning, lots of AU infodumping below the cut :')
His Phantom Thief codename is Beetle :)
I wanted him to look classy, but also a bit intimidating and warrior-like
As for why his Phantom Thief outfit has some intimidating vibes when Gonta hates looking scary... I think he would eventually realise (maybe through an awakening scene?) that he can still do good by using that "intimidating” side of himself, and that he should embrace his whole self to help more and more people
Thinking about it, in a final design I want to make his undervest? Underjacket? thing more armoured, and give him more insect motifs and armour overall
Designing a Persona for him... that's gonna be a challenge if or when I get to it lol
Gonta’s very protection-oriented, not only with the armor on his outfit, but with his Persona abilities. Group defense buffs and group heal skills are a must for him. Is there a move in P5 where a character is 100% guaranteed to tank attacks aimed at others? If there is, he has that for sure. Also his element would be wind and his weakness would be fire
The shield-spear combo was inspired by this quote which pops into my head occasionally:
Tumblr media
The Phantom Thieves in P5 all have one gun and one weapon each, so an idea I had for Gonta was that his “shield” would actually be a large beetle-shaped armoured gun, that’s strapped onto his arm like a shield because using it as a gun feels dishonorable. ...But I completely forgot about that when drawing this orz I’ll get it right next time
I also have some ideas for a Kokichi P5 design... we going court jester with this one

Persona 5 Royal but sumi misses exactly 1 appointment
this is a wacky Au for p5t that kind of reshuffles sumo’s plot relevance in a way I personally find funny and now you have to deal with it too
So, the divergence point is sumire Yoshizawa getting a cold and missing in appointment with her therapist who is definitely not a reality bender and as such not getting hit with the magic Minecraft name tag of unhealthy coping mechanisms to stave off her depression
she ends up quitting gymnastics, unable to find Motivation, but still ends up going to Shujin, where one Haru Okumura sees a very depressed looking girl at lunch and decides to sit with her, after which they become friends and continue sitting together daily for most of the year as sumi eventually tells Haru about her past and current depression, which helps her somewhat
things get really interesting when haru, going through some tough times of her own encounters morgana, while sumire is with her, and so, they both end up in okumura’s palace and haru partially awakens her persona just like in the game, taking on the name of “beauty thief”, but sumire confronts her self hatered, awakening to her persona fully and becoming beauty thief’s sidekick. When they end up confronting the actual Phantom Thieves because of morgana’s pettiness, it gets even funnier as Sumire actively steps up and challenges them to a duel, out of commitment to the bit
yeah, boss fight with sumi 30 hours early, in significantly more comedic circumstances

Persona Awakening: Moon Knight System
Happened to listen to one of those Persona 5 awakening challenges and, well, you can probably guess what happened.
Enjoy and be gentle ---
"Finally."
Marc's breath hitched harshly as a paralysing pain struck deep, deep in his mind. Tears welled up but were held back. "Really, this should not have been the last straw," three voices snarled in unison, "that should have been years ago." "What, is...?" Steven's voice whimpered out. "This riddiculous facade," the voices growled animalistically, "Pretending day and night to be something you're not, someONE. Forcing yourselves into the shape that society claims you should be!"
Each and every word grated on their mind, like a needle-filled balloon was inflating inside their skull. "You think we haven't tried? We know what happens when they find out!" Jake screamed as the tears finally fell down Marc's cheeks. "Yes, but you are not the children you once were! Can you not see the power you all hold? Even a god has bent to your combined efforts!" the voices persisted, aggressively pleading, "Be loud, let them all know that you exist! And if they try and silence you, roar even louder! No one is allowed to shame you for who you are!" "No," Marc grit out, rage now filling his still streaming eyes, "No more." "Then let our contract be fulfilled! We art thou, and thou art us! Call us forth, and make society change for you!"
In an instant, Marc gripped that downward facing crescent that was stuck on his face, and with a great spurt of red fluid, tore it clean off. Pale blue filled their vision, then cleared.
For a moment, he thought the suit was finally working. Only looking down at the pure black bandages with silver highlights told him otherwise. Marc laughed, just kept laughing even as Steven pressed his way in front. "Ah, it's been a bit since we got a new pet," he grinned at the black three-piece that formed over himself before looking up at the ghostly form next to him.
Three eyes blinked on three heads, connected to a three legged body, fur spotted white and grey. "Well, everyone knows that dogs need toys after all." Steven giggled, grin turning slightly malicious, "And I've always prided myself on being a responsible owner. So, Cerberus, be good boys and pick your new chewtoy."

Analyzing Atlus's "Persona 5" from a unique philosophical perspective requires an exploration into the complex interplay of identity, society, justice, and rebellion, as experienced through the lives of its main characters: Ren Amamiya, Ryuji Sakamoto, Ann Takamaki, Morgana, Yusuke Kitagawa, Makoto Niijima, Futaba Sakura, Haru Okumura, Goro Akechi, and Sumire Yoshizawa. This analysis draws on existentialism, critical theory, psychoanalysis, and virtue ethics, offering a multifaceted interpretation of the game’s narrative and themes.
1. Existentialism and the Formation of Identity: "Persona 5" delves into existential questions of self and authenticity, themes central to the philosophy of Jean-Paul Sartre and Friedrich Nietzsche. The protagonist, Ren Amamiya, embodies the existential hero who, despite societal condemnation, asserts his freedom through rebellious acts against a corrupt society. Sartre's idea that "existence precedes essence" is mirrored in how Ren and his friends, the Phantom Thieves, actively construct their identities through their choices and actions, rejecting externally imposed definitions.
Ryuji Sakamoto's transformation from a disgraced track star to a confident member of the Phantom Thieves highlights Nietzsche's concept of the will to power and self-overcoming. Ryuji's journey reflects the Nietzschean ideal of creating oneself anew through the affirmation of one's will against adversity.
2. Critical Theory and Society's Shadows: The game's critique of societal institutions and the corruption within mirrors themes found in the works of critical theorists like Theodor Adorno and Max Horkheimer. The Phantom Thieves' battles against the cognitive manifestations of societal corruption can be seen as a metaphor for the critical theory's concept of enlightenment as mass deception. Each character's awakening to their Persona, especially Ann Takamaki's rejection of sexual objectification, symbolizes the individual's realization of society's coercive influences and the rejection of its commodification.
3. Psychoanalysis and the Unconscious: The exploration of Palaces and the collective unconscious in "Persona 5" draws heavily on Carl Jung's psychoanalytic theories. Characters like Yusuke Kitagawa and Makoto Niijima confront their Shadows—unacknowledged parts of their psyche—emphasizing Jung's idea of confronting and integrating the Shadow Self into the conscious ego for wholeness. Yusuke's artistic block and Makoto's struggle with authority and expectations are psychoanalytic journeys of confronting repressed desires and fears, leading to personal growth and self-actualization.
4. Virtue Ethics and Moral Development: Aristotle's virtue ethics, focusing on the development of moral character through the cultivation of virtues, is reflected in the growth of characters like Futaba Sakura and Haru Okumura. Futaba's journey from isolation to engagement with the world embodies the virtue of courage, transforming fear into action. Haru's evolution from a passive heiress to an assertive individual illustrates the virtue of justice, as she takes a stand against exploitation.
5. Justice and Rebellion: Plato's concept of justice, as harmony within the individual and the state, is challenged by the Phantom Thieves' actions. Their rebellion against societal injustices, particularly Goro Akechi's complex role as both ally and adversary, raises questions about the nature of justice and the means by which it is achieved. Akechi's actions, driven by a desire for acknowledgment and revenge, reflect the tension between Platonic justice and Nietzschean ressentiment, the spite that the powerless feel towards their oppressors.
6. Authenticity and Social Masks: The game’s use of masks as a motif for the characters’ Personas resonates with Erving Goffman’s dramaturgical analysis in "The Presentation of Self in Everyday Life." Goffman's idea that social interaction is a performance where individuals wear masks to meet the expectations of their audience is literalized in the game. Sumire Yoshizawa's struggle with her identity and the desire to be someone else exemplifies the conflict between authentic self-expression and societal roles, echoing Sartre’s notion of bad faith, where one denies their freedom by adopting false values.
In conclusion, "Persona 5" offers a rich tapestry for philosophical inquiry, weaving together the existential struggle for authenticity, the critique of societal corruption, the journey towards psychological wholeness, and the quest for justice and moral virtue. Through the personal stories of Ren Amamiya and his companions, the game presents a complex analysis of the individual's rebellion against oppressive structures, the formation of identity in the face of societal expectations, and the pursuit of a just and authentic existence.

Top 5 Persona Users (you can include velvet attendants if you want)
ooh this is gonna be a hard one, but challenge accepted!!!
Only easy spot on this list. Aigis owns my whole heart. Her growing uncertainty towards her own burgeoning humanity is one of the best parts of one of my favorite games, and her intense resolve even in the face of emotional turmoil is... just... chef's kiss. Perfection. She's even bisexual. Icon. Also, her Persona evolving from Palladion, which was a wooden statue of Athena, into Athena... God. Just. Yeah.
The rest of this list will be tentatively ordered, but... Tatsuya Suou. Yeah. Just. God. Where do I even begin. He's the guy of all time. He has extremely traumatic childhood memories which he had to repress. Even though he was a kid, he awakened his Persona in an effort to protect his friends. If he gets with his BF in Eternal Punishment the world will end. (He was even bisexual. Icon.)
Akihiko Sanada. My blorbo, my wet cat, my little scrunkly, my baby boy, my mans, my beloved. He gets to follow Tatsuya because they both had sisters die in a fire while they were unable to save them as kids and it fucked them both up. I love how earnest he is. I love how overly serious he is, to the point where it can be off-putting. I just love this man. And his wails at Shinji's memorial may have been a meme at one point but they actually brought tears to my eyes, so.
Naoto Shirogane. Not as much to say here. Trams Gander.
Ulala Serizawa. Her arc is fucking superb. I cannot get over it. The reveal that she set the Jokers on Maya... her locking herself away trying to protect Maya from her when she knows she'll turn into one, and yet the fact that she keeps going after that, stays with Maya and the rest of the party despite the fact that they all saw her at her lowest... God. The cringefail woman of all time.
Honorable mentions: Yukino from P1, Katsuya and Maya from P2, Shinjiro, Minato, and Kotone from P3, Kanji from P4, Yusuke and Futaba from P5.

alright, losing my mind about october 3rd in my persona 5 royal replay in 3, 2, 1, go!
first off, this whole thing SUCKS. hearing the vice principle talk about a dead girl and her grieving sister as "wastes of effort" is so infuriating i don't have the words. why is this school the absolute worst (but also why isn't is further out of the realm of possibility)
but onto the important bits that i missed my first run through:
Tumblr media
starting off strong is this tasty piece of dialogue, bc that's the problem, isn't it? sumire *isn't* kasumi, even when she thinks she is. she's still anxious and unsure, still unsatisfied with herself to the point of having significant mental health issues (though sumire-as-kasumi is headed towards perfection-seeking overworked burnout, instead of her more typical major depression).
side note: the fact that maruki insists she's better off like this really shows that he thinks about pain and trauma very... shallowly? i guess would be the word? it's very surface level, instant gratification stuff. is she less actively suicidal? yeah! is she actually better? of course not! bc she is *still sumire* and still has those thought patterns and instincts that lead her to that mindset, but instead of having the tools to deal with those thoughts in a healthy manner she has an "i'm happy and perfect :)" mask that she feels she has to live up to. repression isn't healing. maruki do your fucking job challenge.
anyway.
so we get the keywords from her pep talk and a random couple, get sucked into the palace, and hunt her down to find her confronting what you THINK is her dead sister your first run, but is pretty obviously sumire herself on repeat plays:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
this dialogue didn't make a lot of sense to me my first run, to the point i forgot it was there, but DAMN does it hit this time. her guilt over her sister's death, her complete inability to face it, is VERY apparent. sumire gets so upset over seeing maruki's cognitive version of her, and you really get the impression that she's not even sure *why* she's so upset. sure, it's her dead "sister", but we've already seen her brush that off pretty easily the first time we went to odiba. and given the headache she gets right after, it's pretty clear the real sumire is close to breaking out of the kasumi mask.
and when the shadow attacks the cognitive sumire, she goes down easy.
Tumblr media
which is indicative of something maruki says in the third semester: that he thinks sumire is TOO WEAK to handle her own trauma. that the only way she can live at all, much less happily, is by being someone else entirely. that sumire *doesn't even deserve a chance to try*.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
... this is NOT the post for my rant about maruki's god complex and how it undermines any "help" he's supposedly trying to offer, but these images are here just so you know it exists
luckily, sumire is able to fight back:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
and i do think this is elements of the actual sumire coming through! i'm not sure if sumire's idealized version of kasumi would be fazed enough by criticism to get angry about it. and we know their promise to each other about gymnastics is important to sumire, especially as the only sister left to fill it. if i'm remembering her third semester confidant stuff right, it seems to be one of the few totally positive memories she has of her sister, even with how much pain constantly being compared to kasumi in gymnastics has brought her.
and these pieces of sumire breaking through the brainwashing are probably why she's able to awaken to a persona, even though she literally has no idea who she actually is (and thus shouldn't be able to confront her true self and get one). ESPECIALLY since her persona references the fact that she's not herself!
Tumblr media
i did not manage to grab "if those really are the shoes you've chosen..." but that also applies, as does the fact that her hair comes down for her transformation (the way sumire wears it, instead of kasumi's ponytail) but is put back up by the end.
this got, uh. long. but the point is i love her dearly and maruki can go fuck himself.

Persona 5 Thiefsona
Tumblr media
Picture made using お隣男子メーカー Picrew
Howie Mizuki
Age: 15 (06/28)
Highschool: Shujin Academy
Codename: Angel
Theif outfit: His thief outfit is a navy leather body suit with a studded leather jacket(of the same color) and boots. His gloves are bright cyan(like yusuke but less saturated) and go over his sleeves. His outfit also has a blue devil tail attached to it and a black wings print on the back of his jacket. His mask is cyan and has to devil horns protruding above his eye brows.
Thief Weapons: Tridents and Pepperboxes
Backstory: A half African American, half Japanese first year at Shujin Academy. Because of his heritage and shy demeanour, Mizuki dosen't have many close friends, which makes him desperate to prove himself to others by acting like a morally upstanding student. Mizuki also has a special interest in Detective work, having looked up to the original detective prince since a young age.
After Kamoshida has his heart stolen by the Phantom Thieves, Mizuki believes this is his chance to solve a great mystery like his hero. Having witnessed the day Kamoshida confronted Ryuji over the calling cards, Mizuki guesses that Sakamoto is the Thieves leader. Mizuki then follows the Thieves into Mementos, which gives his phone the Meta-nav app.
After feeling rebellious, Mizuki gains a thief outfit but no persona. Mizuki then encounters the Thieves and challenges them to a battle... and loses. However, Mizuki's will to rebel against the Thieves and bring them to justice awakens within him a persona, Saint. His persona has power over truth, which grants Mizuki a minor navigation ability, and power over deception, which grants Mizuki illusion based powers, reflecting Mizuki's unconscious belief that the truth is more subjective than he thinks it is. Before the Thieves can properly explain what's going on, Mizuki uses his persona's power to escape.
From then on, Mizuki works to stop the Phantom Thieves by fighting them in Mementos, but losing each time. Mizuki decides against telling the police on them because he dosen't have any solid evidence on them and because he secretly wonders if the Phantom Thieves are right.
When Akechi makes his deal with the Phantom Thieves, Mizuki approaches him with the small amount of evidence he collected during his journey. Akechi then "introduces" Howie into the Phantom Thieves as another member that will also "disappear" after Sae's heart is stolen. During the mission for the frame up, the Phantom Thieves position Howie in a safe place where he could see for himself that Akechi was corrupt. Howie then realises that he was wrong all along, and joins the Phantom Thieves of his own accord to help take down Shido.

Persona 5 and the Progression of Themes Through Lyrics
While complimenting Persona 5 may be very overdone and unfortunately be seen as cringe by a lot of people, something I've always appreciated about the game is how well it conveys the progression of its themes through its music. As the player progresses through the game, they will naturally listen to more songs as the story progresses, with each new song showing the Phantom Thieves' strengthening resolve to expose corruption.
Here I will catalogue some portions of the various songs from the games and break them up with the rough themes they are intended to convey. A lot of the themes overlap and many of the lyrics are rather on the nose, but that’s likely because the songs are in English and never translated.
Also, because I don’t want this post to be too long, I’m only going to list what I believe to be the clearest examples of the themes from each song.
Finding oneself by shedding one's mask and unjust control
Each of the Phantom Thieves finds themselves questioning whether they're justified in standing up for themselves. They all awaken to their personas—manifestations of their rebellion—after finding the courage and resolve to affirm their own places in the world. As "Wake Up, Get Up, Get Out There" is the main theme of Persona 5, its lyrics represent the Phantom Thieves urging others to have the courage that they themselves almost lost.
This urgency is amplified in "Life Will Change," which first plays during what is at the time the group's most difficult heist. Specifically, the song plays whenever the Thieves are performing a heist after sending their target a calling card. For the majority of the game, only the instrumental version plays, but the lyricized version kicks in once the Thieves are being actively hunted by the government and yet still refuse to back down—having absolute faith in their ideals and the resolve to see their justice through.
"Life Will Change" also changes the lyrics by having the singer speak of their own experiences, when "Wake Up, Get Up, Get Out There" had them urging the listener to live freely. Whether or not one has the power to change their own life is no longer being questioned; the singer has realized this themselves and sees no need to convince others of this as they know their own actions do all the talking for them.
"Wake Up, Get Up, Get Out There" Let your voices ring out, yeah Take the mask off and be free Find yourself in the debris If you hold on life won't change
"Life Will Change" And our voices ring out, yeah Took the mask off to be free Fought it out in the debris Now we know that life will change
Breaking from societal norms and expectations for the sake of justice
All four of these songs liken the act of following the crowd as acting falsely or as some type of machine. Once again, we can see a greater degree of confidence in the singer in "Life Will Change" when compared to "Wake Up, Get Up, Get Out There;" she goes from passively pointing out those who threaten others' safety to actively challenging such people.
"I Believe" is a song introduced in Persona 5 Royal, and it plays in the exact same context that "Life Will Change" does, but only during the final heist. Before this point, every Phantom Thief—as well as their two guests—with the exception of Joker gave into a false reality being sold to them by someone else. Not only that, but this person was very much like those who they had stood up to in the past: someone who sought to force their own ideals onto everyone else. The song begins with the stanza I listed below, where the singer reminds the listener of the Thieves' ideals not only for the target's sake, but for their own. As such, they reaffirm their resolve so that it will never again be forgotten.
"Counter Strike," which appears in Persona 5 Strikers, calls back to "Wake Up, Get Up, Get Out There" by directing questions at the listener. This serves to remind the player that although they themselves may have found the strength they need to remain resolute throughout life, this doesn't necessarily apply to others. By continuing to encourage people to question their own conditions, the singer reinforces the idea that all people should be given a chance to take control of themselves and fight back against injustice.
"Wake Up, Get Up, Get Out There" Who am I? Am I not unique? Maybe I'm not here at all Look, the fakers Blinding us with lies The breakers of us all
"Life Will Change" It's not a game I'm not a robot AI challenging you I'm not a phantom I'm in your face and I'm here to see it through
"I Believe" I thought that I told you I'm not a robot, no I thought I told you I'm not a phantom, I'm in your face.
"Counter Strike" Counter strike Ain't it all worth fighting for, no? Being a device is not what you signed up for
Taking the initiative in improving one's situation despite past adversity
All of these songs originate from Persona 5 Strikers, whose antagonists are generally more sympathetic than those from the other Persona 5 entries. Many of them have been victimized by others or endured a tragedy and chose to continue the cycle of suffering rather than resist their temptations and do what's right. To reflect this, many of the game's song lyrics feature encouragement in the same style as those from "Wake Up, Get Up, Get Out There."
In fact, the more encouraging lyrics are brought into the forefront during the latter half of "Counter Strike," where the singer switches from commanding the listener to act to the affirmations listed below. Just as the original game used "Life Will Change" to show the singer's growing resolve, Persona 5 Strikers does the same here.
"You Are Stronger" Waiting around won't do You need to stand up for your sake Do not stay comfortable with their lies Remember that We got you
"What You Wish For" Come on dear Pierrot, make a wish Take your time and decide what's right Can't you see the light
Time to stop dancing Around the mirror In circles Crying one more tear
"Axe to Grind" I'll be nice Here's another chance Dare to dance Ready when you're ready Keep 'em heels down steady
Won't hold your hand through it all Rise or fall Decide on the boat to ride Know that you can't run or hide
"Counter Strike" I'll never forget to show my true colors I'll never forget to question destiny I will be more than a puppet I'll never be just a doll
I can feel The rhythm So vivid
Yes you were right This is my fight Counter strike Time to get up on my feet

PERSONA 5 VERSE.
Tumblr media
Title. ??? (canon title), Messiah. Name. Arisato Minato. Age. 24 (technically in P5)
☾。Info. Awoken from his long slumber, Minato was given the mission to challenge the new Wild Card user. Although, confused at first. He doesn’t attempt to question such matters, fully believing that once this is over that he’ll return back to his responsibility as Great seal. Needless to say, Minato had won the battle without breaking much of a sweat. With his task being finished, Minato was about to go through his original plan of returning. That is until he finds himself falling into darkness, passing out suddenly & without warning.
☾。Yaldabaoth Ending (Canon ending - tied to thieviant). Minato is awakened with no recollection of his memories aside from the fight prior before passing out, Minato finds himself within an unknown place, it hadn’t been the Velvet Room that he was in prior. The place that Minato was currently in, was Café Leblanc. Akira’s home. After witnessing Minato passing out, Akira had decided to take Minato back to his world to not only assure that he was alright but ask questions. Questions that Minato would be unable to answer, with little interest in returning him back to the Velvet room. Akira allows Minato to live with him for the time being, while seemingly a kind gesture at first glance. Akira clearly has a certain motive that he is hoping to achieve by having Minato by his side, whatever the motive may be. It is anyone’s guess.
Extra Notes.
► Minato’s original body is long gone. The body that Minato currently owns is one that is created by Philemon himself. although, igor does not explain the detail in which it came from or how he managed to do such things. it is simply a “gift”, lavenza had been the one that had suggested the idea of being that would've been power enough to defeat or cause a difficult battle for the Wild Card User. although, that is not the only reason that Philemon had agreed 'pon such requests, these battles against the new Wild Card user couldn't be fulfil with his current state, needless to say, if it wasn’t for the fact that Minato ( & to an extent, Akira ) opened another path of new possibilities. Minato wouldn’t be able to gain the body that he’s currenting owning.
► During the battle, Minato would sudden collapse && awaken with amnesia is a result of one key thing. Minato's soul not fully being intact. To prevent from the Great Seal breaking, Minato's soul had been split in half. With the remaining part of his soul still remains within the Great Steal itself, while appearing to be, perhaps a solution at having him become 'free.' it is far from a solution, aside from amnesia. he's now physically && mentally become exhausted far quicker than normal, often needing to rest as to restore energy within him. another key thing to take into account is his appearance, despite technically being 24 by the time the event of persona 5 ends up happening. Minato's appearance does not appear to be the actual age in which he should be. never physically aging as a result. Lastly, one key thing to be noted is that he has black bags under his eyes. as a reminder to himself, that he's nothing more than half the soul of what once was. At some point, he'll need to return back to the Great Seal as no matter what, he's not able to run away from that fate.
► His arcana is still the Universe Arcana. However, he's unable to summon Messiah currently. Only being able to summon Orpheus. Later on, he'll be able to regain the ability to summon Messiah.
► He has no recollection of his past life or the events that happened within persona 3. At least, not at the start. He’d gradually restore his memories overtime based on certain events that unfold. Obviously, there’s a chance in which he may not regain any of his memories at all, in which whatever happens can shift his views on things or personality somewhat.
► Igor is fully aware of what happened but he decides to let the two go. Igor isn’t an idiot, he is fully aware that Minato will return back to his task at hand overtime, as he can see the events that will unfold. Lavenza on the other hand, is not very fond of the idea that Akira practically kidnapped Minato, but similar as Igor, she does allow it somewhat.

1 Like = 1 Answer (AO3 edition)
So I did one of those "1 Like = 1 Answer" posts on Twitter, and I decided I would share my answers here as well with a little more words!
1. Favorite story written? It would be a toss-up between "And Today, You" (Fire Emblem Awakening, Lucina & Child Lucina) and "Love Persevering" (Fire Emblem Three Houses, Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd/f!Byleth Eisner). The former because it was a piece focused on Lucina that I had been working on for 1.5-2 years. It holds such a special place in my heart. The latter because I love writing sad, angsty things and it was fun getting to return to that with a dimileth fic.
2. Most popular work? If we go by kudos, it's "Like Her Eyes" (Dimitri/f!Byleth). I wrote it for a prompt challenge and was dropping it in review exchange threads for a year because it was a fluffy one-shot that worked well fandom-blind.
3. A work you wish was more popular? I feel really bad saying this, but "And Today, You." It's actually where it should be for a gen fic posted in the Awakening fandom and I'm really grateful for that. Still, I can't help but wonder about how it would've done had I finished and posted it not long after I started it. Or five years ago. You know, sometime when the fandom was still active.
4. Favorite trope to write? "You can't sleep either, huh?" Easily my favorite thing to write! I love those quiet bonding moments at night where people may act differently than they would during the day! I've written a one-shot ("Late Night Talks" Big Hero 6, Tadashi Hamada/Honey Lemon), a chapter of a fic ("Tell Me a Story" chapter 7, Dimitri/f!Byleth), and a multi-chapter fic ("Nights Under the Azure Moon" 4 chapters, Dimitri/f!Byleth) based around this type of discussion.
5. Least favorite trope to write? Cheater's answer: smut. Thought out answer: probably horror/suspense/thriller. Not the biggest fan of reading horror outside of a few fic authors, so I have no idea where I would start with writing it.
6. Something you want to write but don't know where to start? I have two long fics in my folder ("The Boar Prince of Remire" about mercenary!Dimitri and "Will you forgive me if I can't see your light anymore" about Dimitri's five years in exile) that I would love to actually be able to outline and write instead of simply writing random scenes. Slowly chipping away at them hoping 2023 will be the year I can post first chapters.
7. Longest work written? Currently, it's "Nights Under the Azure Moon" with 12,605 words and four of five chapters posted. I think "Notice of Transfer" (FE3H & Dead Like Me, Dimitri/f!Byleth) will overtake it once I finish and post the last chapter.
8. The shortest? Shortest fic is "Time's Flow, Interrupted" (gen) at 754 words. I think I have a chapter of "Tell Me a Story" that's shorter at around 600 words.
9. Author you would like to collab with? There's a lot of authors that I think it would be fun to come up with something with, but I'm sure I would end up falling into a beta reader position since that's what I'm used to. At that point, it basically becomes a group project where one person isn't doing their share and just going along with anything that happens, and that's not fun nor fair to the other author. However, if el_pepe ever ends his indefinite hiatus, I would love to join forces for some of the Persona 3-5 story ideas we discussed if he was cool with it.
10. What tag would definitely be included in all of your works? Definitely "fluff & angst!" I love adding some angst to make the fluff sweeter! And sometimes, nothing's better than upping the amount of fluff to make the angst hit like a ton of bricks.

What's your Hogwarts house?
Tumblr media
Timothy Wright is one of the main characters in the MarbleHornets ARG and was a friend of Brian, one of the missing cast members, and also the personae Masky. He appears frequently and to date is one of the most mysterious characters in the series. Because of a chain of events that occur later in the series, Tim eventually becomes the central point of view.
Masky is notable for being one of the major driving plot devices in the series and being a recurring character. Masky's actions and the theories surrounding him have lead to the concept of proxies being created, although Masky himself (nor Hoody), have ever been stated to be proxies. It is also worth noting that Masky actively works against The Operator meaning he would usually not be considered a proxy. Masky is generally regarded as a mysterious antagonist; however, his actions in saving Jay and Jessica from being murdered by Alex in Entry #52 might suggest otherwise.
If Entry #55 is to be believed, then Tim may have been stalked by the Operator for years, and everyone else got roped in due to involvement with him. If Entry #59 is to be believed, Tim has had no recollection of any of the events as Masky [due to the blackouts], nor any knowledge of the Operator until this entry. Entry #60.5 even hints Tim may have been stalked by the Operator since his childhood.
In Entry #85, Alex infiltrates Tim's apartment and sprays lighter fuel all over the house while Tim watches in hiding. Alex challenges Tim to face him should he survive the burning of the house. Tim escapes the house with his car keys and his pill bottle as Alex sets the house alight. Tim declares that now that Alex has taken everything from him, he has no restraints and will go after Alex.
In Entry #86, Tim confronts Alex at Benedict Hall. The Operator intervenes and begins teleporting them to various locations. Alex reveals all the people he’s killed, as well as his true motives, but blames Brian’s death on Tim. While being transported to various locations, he manages to sneak up behind Alex and stab him in the neck. Alex tells him that he must kill everyone he knows and then himself, if he is to end the sickness. He leaves Alex to bleed to death, and while Tim isn’t looking, it is shown that Alex’s body has already disappeared. Tim begins to laugh, and then collapses, dropping his camera down the stairs.
Entry #87 shows that Tim is alive and well(?). He meets with Jessica, who is revealed to also be alive, and lies to her about Jay’s fate. Tim starts coughing, the video cuts to static, and the shot changes to Tim driving down a parkway. Sirens can be heard faintly in the background, and whether or not this is intentional is unknown. He arrives at a fork in the road, and the screen cuts to black. The words “Everything is fine.” appear on the screen, and the video ends.
Tim makes a few cameo appearances in the follow-up series ‘Clear Lakes 44’. It is unknown when the footage of him takes place. At one point he gives a box to what appears to be ”Birdwatcher”, the main character of that series.

Personalities
Entry #59 gives the best display of Tim's personality. He appears to be very distressed and extremely upset over his condition, having huge blackouts and being unable to awaken for large periods of time with no recollection. Although he is a calm individual on the exterior, on the inside he is a frightened man who just wants to be normal and escape the demons of his past. Despite his fears, he manages to overcome them and at one point both figuratively and literally “stands up” to the Operator.
Tim also seems to have a more sarcastic and laid back personality, even offering to help Alex find an abandoned place that could pass for a school like in Entry #9 before the argument occurs, Entry #54, and Entry #55.
At times, Tim can be cautious; Like from that entry when he left Jay tied up in some house. Jay might've resorted to murdering Tim, so Tim was smart enough to make it so that he could escape any murder attempts.
Tim has a second personality that has been dubbed by fans as “Masky." During exposure to the Operator, Tim may occasionally blackout and wake up as Masky. Masky is never shown to speak, and always wears a mask, hence the nickname. He is highly aggressive and animalistic. When working with Brian almost functions as an “attack dog” at times.
Other facts
Tim's last name is never revealed in the series. The only time it is known to be said is when Jay talks to him in Entry #53, but it was censored by Jay. In Entry #60.5, Tim's medical documents state his full name, but it is redacted, and says simply "Timothy W_____". The Season 3 credits of Marble Hornets reveal Tim's last name to be Wright. Timothy Wright. Tim Wright.
Tim was diagnosed with schizophrenia as a child, though we don't know if he actually has schizophrenia, or it's only the Operator sickness that makes it seem that he has schizophrenia or BOTH...
Tim uploads Entry #87, the final video in the series.
Tim loves pineapple pizza.
Tim Sutton plays Tim Wright in the series. Tim Wright plays a character named Tim in Alex Kralie's film. A similar statement can be said about Brian.
It is never stated whether or not Tim likes cheesecake, and it is commonly thought to be a fat joke. It is not, Tim Sutton speculated that this joke originated from a "Cooking with ToTheArk" parody video and has never been actually used as a fat joke towards him
Tim killed Alex. This was to stop Alex from killing Tim first.
Tim was first an antagonist of the Marble Hornets Youtube series before becoming a deuteragonist.
Tim smokes cigarettes.
Tim has easily noticeable sideburns. He has thick eyebrows. He's most likely a brunette. His eyes are dark-brown.
He has an American accent.
His voice doesn't sound deep. His voice sounds pretty normal.

ꕥ — WELCOME TO CATA COSMIA, HARU OKUMURA. 🌓
Tumblr media
ꕥ  — OOC INFORMATION;
name / alias: juni age: 21 pronouns: he/she ooc contact: akashicart twitter other characters in xc: aigis, arthur granvelle
ꕥ  — IC INFORMATION;
name: haru okumura age: 20 pronouns: she/her series: persona 5 canon point: a year post-strikers app triggers: arranged marriage, domestic abuse, parental death
personality:
you’d think that the extravagant lifestyle of an only daughter of a multi-million dollar fast food chain’s ceo would reflect negatively on one’s personality, but for haru, it couldn’t be further from the truth. she’s humble, patient and effortlessly kind—though she can be so quiet and aloof that you wouldn’t be able to guess. after experiencing so much undermining and exploitation because of her status, it can be a struggle for her to open up and trust others’ intentions. and because of her shy demeanor and lack of self-confidence, she sometimes finds it difficult to express her true feelings.
her strength is a quiet one, but her convictions and ideals are just as strong as any other of her friends, even if she can come across as a bit of a scatterbrain at times. she grew up watching cartoons about heroines of justice, aspiring to be just like them—and even if being a phantom thief isn’t quite the same thing, she’s no less committed to righting the many wrongs that run rampant in society. haru is exceedingly eager to prove herself as useful rather than a liability, owing to the persistent feeling of uselessness in which she often finds herself slipping into. she wants to be just as strong and stubborn as she is gentle and sweet.
something your muse struggles with: speaking her mind.
your muse’s greatest strength: kindness.
history / background:
haru was not born into a life of privilege and luxury as the only daughter of kunikazu okumura, the third president of okumura foods and the founder of big bang burger. despite the fact that her grandfather was a decent and noble man, he failed as a businessman, and okumura foods was a failing company as a result. but she never minded, not as long as her father was there.
kunikazu okumura gradually changed as time passed. he became preoccupied with his own ambition and greed, and he lost interest in caring for his daughter. big bang burger evolved into a business that thrived solely on the backs of its overworked and underpaid workers, resulting in a series of scandals. haru watched on in resigned silence, believing herself unable to speak out due to her inferior status, but the situation soon escalated when okumura declared an arranged marriage for haru: one to the son of a prospective associate of his, an abusive man named sugimura.
after meeting morgana, a talking cat and a founding member of the phantom thieves of hearts—a group of teenagers dedicated to social reform—who had left after a disagreement with the group, haru accidentally accompanied him into the metaverse. an “other dimension” similar to reality that is built upon people’s cognition, and by pure coincidence, she followed him into her father’s palace. there, she partially awakens to her persona and chooses to join forces with morgana in the same manner as the phantom thieves to change her father’s heart.
morgana and haru are later encountered by the phantom thieves inside the palace, where he introduces her as the “beauty thief.” though the two initially challenge the phantom thieves to a race to claim kunikazu's treasure first, they inadvertently walk into a room occupied by haru’s father’s cognitive henchmen, forcing both parties to flee. morgana and haru are lost in the midst of the chaos.
after school the next day, two members of the phantom criminals—akira and makoto—approach haru and ask her to join their ranks, but she declines. when haru and morgana are confronted by sugimura later in the day, the thieves come across them and rush to her rescue. sugimura is chased away, but haru is shaken up, and morgana begs the thieves to put his feud with them aside in order to give haru a place to stay. they return to akira’s place, where haru finally reveals the truth about the situation, as well as her engagement to sugimura. she eventually admits to herself that she wasn’t inspired to change her father's heart out of any lofty ideal to free okumura foods’ employees, but rather to circumvent her arranged marriage. morgana makes amends with the thieves as well, and the group is reunited, with haru being made a member.
haru fully awakens to her persona early on during the palace infiltration, and the calling card is sent. all seems to be going according to plan, until kunikazu okumura holds a press conference to confess to his crimes, which the thieves are watching while celebrating. in the middle of speaking, he suffers from a mental shutdown, a condition in which the person affected dies for unknown causes, which haru is forced to see in real time. she runs home, but the consequences of a mental breakdown are serious and irreversible: okumura dies before reaching the hospital.
her feelings are complicated—rage and sorrow and bitterness—directed at the phantom thieves, the party at fault, but mostly herself. in spite of her self-doubt, haru continues to work with the group to clear their names, as they are being blamed by the public for the death of okumura. much happens in a short period of time—they briefly join forces with goro akechi in order to clear their names, only for him to betray them and expose the existence of a bizarre plot to kill them, led by an up-and-coming politician named masayoshi shido. the thieves infiltrate his palace and discover a shocking truth: not only was shido the one who carried out the mental shutdowns, using akechi as his attack dog, but okumura was actually targeted by him due to his bad connections and for creating competition in the political world. that was one of the unexplained scandals surrounding okumura foods—how competitors to the company would suddenly and conveniently die, leaving their companies in chaos and allowing okumura to expand his.
as horrible a man as her father had become until his assassination, haru could never forget the love and warmth he had shown her as a child. knowing that she’d never be able to find closure or even make amends with her father because of shido, she becomes more determined than ever to overthrow him from his throne.
powers / abilities:
LUCY. as a metaverse-user, haru has the ability to summon her persona when inside the metaverse at will. personas are described as “a manifestation of one’s will of rebellion” and usually take the form of mythological, fictional, religious or historical figures. hers is an imitation of milady de winter, a villainess from the three musketeers, and the woman who inspired her creation.
some of lucy’s capabilities include:
PSIO SKILLS. psychic attack magic, basically. it’s made particularly powerful when incorporated with inflicting mental ailments on an enemy.
GUN SKILLS. gun attacks. idk.
TENTARAFOO. a skill which enables haru to inflict the confusion ailment onto multiple enemies.
BUFF SKILLS. she specifically knows heat riser, which raises the attack, defense and agility of one person.
LIFE WALL. it creates a shield that repels both physical and magical damage over the whole party.
WEAKNESS TO FREI SKILLS. aka nuclear magic. idkkkkk...
inherent abilities:
N/A. she’s good at ballet and gardening though?
items / weapons:
FLEURS DU MAL. a large, heavy axe that can be obtained by itemizing beezlebub during an alarm. haru seems to the only person capable of carrying it.
YAGRUSH. a grenade launcher that comes from itemizing baal during an alarm. not much to say... it’s a grenade launcher!
starting ability: n/a
starting item: n/a
extra:
i love her but i won’t be able to protect her in the proletarian revolution
