Timeline Preface
First of all, it's necessary to make clear which years will be used as reference for each game, for these years will dictate everything else in the timeline.
Persona 1 -> 1996
Persona 2 -> 1999
Persona 3 -> 2009
Persona 4 -> 2011
Persona 5 -> 2016
In total, we will be covering 20 years of in-game events plus a few here and there. The following is a list of the events that WILL NOT be considered canon in the timeline, just to keep it in mind:
Shin Megami Tensei: if... Gakuen no Akuma Tsukai
Shin Megami Tensei if...: Jin of the Expanse
Shin Megami Tensei: Kahn
Revelations: Persona (basically the americanized version)
Megami Ibunroku Persona: Ikuu no Tou Hen
Megami Ibunroku Persona: Shadow Maze
Megami Ibunroku Persona Digital Collection
Persona 2: Innocent Sin ~ The Errors of Their Youth
Persona 2 Tsumi: Lost Memories
Persona 2: Tsumi ga Ataeshi Batsu
Persona 2 Batsu: Infinity Mask
Persona: Tsumi to Batsu
Persona 3: Owari no Kakera
Persona 3: Shadow Cry
Persona 3: The Night Before
Persona 3 Portable
Persona 3 Portable: Velvet Blue
Persona 3 Reload
Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight
Persona 3 Em
Megami Tensei Chaining Soul: Persona 3
Megami Tensei QIX: Persona 3
Persona 3 Broken Shadow
Persona 3 Illust Puzzle
Persona 3 Escape
Persona 3 Drama CD: New Moon
Persona 3 Drama CD: Full Moon
Persona 3 Social
Persona Ain Soph
Persona 3 FES: Alternative Heart
Persona -trinity soul-
Persona -trinity soul- Novel
Persona 4: Kiri no Amnesia
Persona 4 The Card Battle
Persona 4: Your Affection
Persona x Detective Naoto
Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight
Persona O.A.
Persona 5: Mementos Mission
Persona 5 Tactica
Persona 5: The Phantom X
Persona Mobile Online
Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth*
Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth*
Vanilla Versions of P3, P4, and P5
Animation and Movie Adaptations
Manga Adaptations
Bad Endings
Comic Anthologies
Live Action and Stage Adaptations
Drama CDs unless specifically mentioned
Novel Adaptations
That weird promotional P4 flash game
The ones that WILL be considered canon and will be included in the timeline are the following:
Tumblr media
Plus the Persona 2: Eternal Punishment PSP additional scenario.
Final Details
After each part, I will be including a "personal assumptions and headcanons" section. None of the things mentioned in said section are confirmed, in fact, some headcanons will be mentioned. Its purpose is just to enrich the canon already established by the timeline. You'll get it when you see it.
If there is a Social Link/Extra Scene/Additional Dialogue in another game/novel/CD that wasn´t in the list but enriches the story, those details will be included (glances at P3 Portable and Reload). A similar thing happened with PQ, which was almost included because of Chronos. Since everyone's memories were erased anyways, I just took Chronos and left them in their pocket dimension to live their non-canon adventures. Same thing happened with the P1 manga, since it offered extra details and more about Naoya. From Tsumi to Batsu I only took the extended Philemon lore.
Possible Questions
“Why wasn't X media included?”
It depends.
I would have been okay with Tsumi if it didn't overlap with what happens in the main game. Batsu did have some interesting elements, but I couldn't find a gameplay in a language I spoke.
I wanted to include Tsumi ga Ataeshi Batsu so badly, but also couldn't find it online.
I didn't include Vanilla P3 since it needed The Answer to feel truly complete. The same happened with Golden and Royal. Portable was already an AU the moment Minako was included (sorry, queen). Honestly, you can just ignore the extra content from the remastered games or change Minato's name to Minako/Hamuko/Kotone to get the timeline you want (if you want the full FeMC experience, also read Velvet Blue).
At the moment of this timeline's creation, Reload still hasn't launched their own version of The Answer.
Ask me for specifics about other media that wasn't included.
"You forgot X media, which wasn't on either list!"
PLEASE, LET ME KNOW! I know the wiki is incomplete (discovered this when I tried doing an iceberg years ago), and that some media slips through the cracks.
If you can provide a link where I can read/watch/hear it (either English or Spanish is fine), I would be eternally grateful (also if someone can give me a translation of the Naruhodona-SEES section of the Persona Stalker Club pretty please, I would kiss you).
Though if new media was released after March 2024, the year this timeline was made, then that's why it wasn't included.
"Are the timelines already done?"
Nope. They're still in progress, but I wanted to leave some things clear before I published them. If you have any proposals or recommendations, there's still time.
That's all for now. See you next week!

Saori Hasegawa RP Icons
Tumblr media
In this ZIP file, you'll find 18 roleplay icons of Saori Hasegawa from Persona 3 Portable. These icons are all 100x100 and were cropped from game sprites, official artwork, and screencaps from Persona 3 The Movie and the Persona 3 Dear Girls Anthology manga.
Feel free to edit, just don't claim them as your own.

Woah?? Robin's posting about a persona character that ISN'T Akechi?? :0 is this legal?? ...No it's not, don't tell the cops.
Anyways!! I really wanted to color Hamuko (I apologise for crappy shading, it's not my strong spot) it's not the cleanest but I'm literally erasing with my finger.
Please request characters you want me to color!!💙❤️
feel free to use, no credit needed since all I did was color! 💙❤️💙❤️💙❤️

Hey, Prom, I really wanna get into Persona but I dunno where to start. Can you help?
Personally I've only played persona 5 due to a lack of tech (i don't have the other playstation consoles or a good computer) so i might not be the best at giving advice for getting into the series as a whole!
If youre only looking to get into the stuff that i know and love, then you can pick up persona 5 either on ps4 or steam! Some might disagree with this, but i would reccomend just jumping into persona 5 royal, which is an extension of the first game. You can look up the original vanilla ending afterwards to see what changed!
If you mean the series as a whole: pick and choose the series that most interests you to starts! The persona series is an anthology, and doesnt require playing any previous installments. So you can start on whatever series you want. Altho, I believe like p5 vs p5r, there's similar different versions to play. Such as persona 3 portable vs persona 3 but for the differences between those games im sure you can google which one is better to start with
I hope this helps? Feel free to ask for further details/clarification, i know it can be a lot at once

20 Years of Art
2000
Tumblr media
(OC / Celes from Final Fantasy 6 / OC / OC)
The influence of Final Fantasy 6, off of the Anthology collection, and Yoshitaka Amano caused a significant shift in my art, leading my human figures to be very slender, graceful, and frequently pale. Most of it was of women, some of it was of horses, and by then I was very self-consciously starting to draw men. I mostly worked in pencils and colored pencils. Faces were oval with high hairlines and long, sharp, narrow noses. Also note my evident fear of mouth-seams and lower eyelids. I was pretty terrible at coloring, often feeling that coloring one of my sketches ruined all the nice linework.
2001
Tumblr media
(Quistis from Final Fantasy 8 / Rosa from Final Fantasy 4? / Schala from Chrono Trigger / Dark Knight OC from Final Fantasy 4)
This is where more anime influences came in, and I consciously took on a semi-anime, semi-realistic (in my own mind) style. My ideal of beauty was overbig eyes, overlong nose, and oversmall mouth, and I stuck to it pretty relentlessly. Trying to figure out shadows and face structure. Still bad at coloring. I was incredibly proud of that charcoal picture. Was also going through my mandatory Dark 'n Edgy phase, with a big helping of Phantom of the Opera, Sarah Brightman, and my attempts at designing supercool clothes, many of which I wouldn't have actually worn, even given the opportunity.
2002
Tumblr media
(Me trying to recreate “Flaming June” / OC, who incidentally looks almost exactly like Sarah Brightman and whose diadem was bodily lifted from a Jodi Lee painting / angsty symbolic wet chain lady / OC)
Deep in the Dark 'n Edgy. Faces are still very heavily made-up, with big lashes, defined upper eyelids, and dark lips. Trying very hard to be a good artist though, have high expectations for the future. I was so proud of that final pose and worked so hard on it. Lined paper? So not a problem. Besides, how else am I supposed to draw during class? A sketchbook would've been even more obvious than the incredibly obvious I already was. I'm able to listen while drawing pretty reliably, and I did manage to take detailed notes while doodling, so at least I had that going for me.
2003
Tumblr media
(Celes / OC / OC / Hermes-inspired wing lady)
I was focusing (at least some of the time) on backgrounds and trying to make my work detailed and polished. Coloring is still hopeless. Often when I colored, I would go super light, even when I was using dark or intense colors. It would give my pictures a sort of faint, half-assed hazy look. I remember an art teacher urging me to use more color, but I probably resisted because I knew that way lay total destruction. I'm sorry, well-meaning art teacher. You are unversed in the ways of my pencils. I have killed too many sketches to take those kinds of risks.
2004
Tumblr media
(Rosa? / Meliara from Crown Duel / willow-dress lady / Geddoe and Queen from Suikoden 3)
See the Meliara picture? That's supposed to be a night scene in a forest. Front-lit by blazing firelight. I was too afraid to make the colors darker. This is dark enough, okay? Anyway, this year, along with being utterly obsessed with Suikoden 3 and Crown Duel, I was letting my art head in a more realistic direction...
2005
Tumblr media
(OC / Queen / Queen / part of Zetta and Salome from Makai Kingdom; I remember deliberately copying those swoopy Ss from one of my friends’ handwriting. Wishes ended up being the first longform fanfic I posted online.)
...that really flourished this year. It's not actually realism, but I made a point to give my characters, especially the women, more realistic bodies. Faces are very round in this period, often with soft features. Noses are prominent. I'm also, finally, using more vibrant colors. I probably got my first Prismacolor pencils around this time. I also got some really cheap markers, but had no idea how to use them so mostly stuck to pencils.
2006
Tumblr media
(All OCs)
I look back on this as a good year. I was learning better coloring techniques. (Bold colors! Press that pencil down! Okay, I still had much to learn.) I got an Elfwood gallery while the site was doing its slow mosey into oblivion. But that was an important step, not just looking at other people's art online, but putting my own up as well. There were downsides though. I began to feel more insecure – or maybe more realistic? – about my art, on this site with so many highly talented artists. Still, 2006 is a good year. It was a lot of fun, and I learned a lot.
2007
Tumblr media
(vampire and hunter / Fleur from Harry Potter / OC / Avril from Wild Arms 5)
The year of Fleur Delacour. This is when I was writing Kindred. I think it was because I was trying to depict Fleur as distinctly non-human that my art shifted away from that more realistic style. Fleur, and my other figures, became very tall and slender. The anime DNA is still there though. For a long time, I felt the lying-down picture of Fleur was my best work.
2008
Tumblr media
(Revya and Gig from Soul Nomad / my attempts at being “abstract” / OC / OC)
This was the year of Soul Nomad and, towards the end, Tales of the Abyss. Unsurprisingly, the anime influences start moving back to the fore. The eyes are becoming larger again, the features a bit more angular and stylized, mouths are shrinking. I'm still desperately trying to figure out markers and wondering why it's so darn hard (I don't try to educate myself, I just flail), but I was proud of that blue OC picture. It made me feel like I was getting somewhere. 2008 is when I started my deviantART gallery, right when everyone else was moving on to Tumblr.
2009
Tumblr media
(teacup lady / Persona 4 noir-style comic / Revya / OC)
Then Persona 4 hit. Shigenori Soejima was a huge influence in this period, especially in eyes and faces. Pupils, chins, and jawlines shrink, eyelashes are sparse and stylized, noses are simplified. 2008 and 2009 are about as pure anime as I've ever gotten. Meanwhile, I'm really exited about my dA gallery and trying lots of different combinations of media. I'm super active on dA and FFN at this point, writing Elysion and then a slew of shorter Persona fics.
2010
Tumblr media
(Minako from Persona 3: Portable / concept-art-version Minako / lady with dragon ferret thing / other lady with dragon ferret thing)
I'm still drawing with a lot of Soejima influences. Additionally, bodies are becoming even longer, taller, thinner, and bendier. Some of them look absurd to me now. On the other hand, a lot of pictures from this period have a nice elegance to them. I was still using colored pencils a fair bit, but more clumsy markers are showing up. Persona 3: Portable came out, and this is when I was writing Death and Ker.
2011
Tumblr media
(mask lady / hat lady / Archaya, Duphaston, and Iryth from Eternal Poison / symbolic autumn lady and her winter baby)
Midway through this year, I hit a breakthrough when I got my first set of Copics – and skin tones, no less. Even though I was still flailing, I was so thrilled with my results. That Eternal Poison picture left me enormously proud, as did the mother and child one. My style hasn't changed all that much, but it's starting to feel less extreme. The focus on big eyes and tiny little mouths remains.
2012
Tumblr media
(Elza from Suikoden 2 / Daryl and Setzer from Final Fantasy 6 / Killey and Lorelai from Suikoden 2 / Lyssa, Greek goddess of madness)
This is the year of Elza. Lots of delicate sketches of this lovely scarred lady, and lots of colored pictures too. I've definitely shifted away from pencils towards markers. The Daryl and Setzer one was an attempt to use both, and I was very happy with it. These pictures show their age, but there's still a lot here I like. Mouths are larger too. However, my online activity was starting to lag.
2013
Tumblr media
(Rydia from Final Fantasy 4 / Nia from Infinite Space / the prophet and Schala / Argos and Io from Greek mythology)
The mid-2010s weren't entirely great for me, marked with a lot of frustration and discontent. And that definitely carried over to my art, making me feel very disappointed with myself. There was lots of marker work this year. Probably the standout picture is Argos and Io. This is also when I played through all three routes of Fate/Extra, and my art was suddenly full of Hakuno and Emiya.
2014
Tumblr media
(Minako / butterfly lady / Marta and Tenebrae from Tales of Symphonia 2 / Elza)
Looking at it now, this was a good year. Lots of nice marker art. The butterfly one was a big step up for me in terms of coloring. The Marta and Tenebrae has a really cool stylized look to it. But I was becoming less enthusiastic about sharing my art with others. I started to post less and less.
2015
Tumblr media
(evil Hakuno and Emiya from the Fate series / Mitsuru from Persona 3 / half moon cookie lady / Hakuno)
I barely posted anything this year, though I was still drawing a ton. As far as making strides, this is one of my better years. Coloring will never be my strong suit, but it's a lot more fun, and it looks a lot better. It's almost entirely marker-work at this point. Despite my, er, angst, a lot of people are smiling this year.
2016
Tumblr media
(OC / doodle lady / Luna from Roman mythology / hair bow lady)
At this point, it's feeling too recent for me to really see what's changed. I did a fair bit of eraserless work. One problem I still have – and, yes, it involves coloring my pictures – is losing some of the image's personality after I've inked it and erased the initial pencil work. The picture's still there, but not as nuanced as it originally was. The results often feel stiff to me. Doing the first linework in ink, or not inking at all, allows me to keep that sensitive, spontaneous quality. Luna and the bow and doodle ladies were done without erasers. Another thing I did a lot this year was fill backgrounds with busy shapes and colors, which is a trend I’m still following today.
2017
Tumblr media
(flapper and dog / Alcyone and Ceyx from Greek mythology / flower hair lady / Kida from Atlantis)
Not a good year. Not that the art is bad, there just isn't a lot of it, and what there is often isn't very finished. I was still mostly dark online, wondering if I should take down my dA gallery. Drawing and knowing I wasn't going to post something took off some of the pressure of my own expectations, but I was still unhappy.
2018
Tumblr media
(Altera from the Fate series / Elizabeth Bathory from the Fate series / OC / Aranea from Final Fantasy 15)
This was a really important year for me. I wrote a novel I'm really proud of, and it's done a lot to give me confidence and a sense of creative direction. I also decided that after New Years, I was going to start a Tumblr gallery...just as everyone who was still on the site was jumping off of it. Much of my 2018 work is still sketchy and unfinished, but I also think it's loosening up some. It feels less stiff than the stuff from the middle of the decade.
2019
Tumblr media
(Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn / medievaly lady / Red from Transistor / Red)
The year of Supergiant Games, which led me to focus more on bright saturated colors. It's really hard for me to analyze these objectively. Coloring is better? I worked more on details? I used my metallic gel pens a ton and did shape-cluttered backgrounds? These aren't new things, but I think they paid off okay. I'm more at peace with my level of ability, I've finished more complicated works, and I crawled out of my den and started posting regularly online again. So that's all good. Curious to see what the art looks like in twenty more years.

FAQ: How Do I start a Reformed Druid Grove or Protogrove?
Sometimes, when there just isn’t a group of druids in your area, the next best option is to create one.
A frightening first step is to find the courage to come out of the “broom closet” or at least create an anonymous social media persona. If you’re new, and you meet others who are also new to druidry, you can form a study group or druidry “book club.” The RDNA has an 848 page collection of free PDF files that are Public Domain called A Reformed Druid Anthology. There’s also a much smaller document called the Unofficial Welcome Pamphlet which provides information on how to start a protogrove.
First Steps:
Look over the RDNA literature, at least each section introduction. Follow your curiosity.
Read ARDA 2 Part 1. It’s only like 20 pages.
Want an NRDNA/SDNA protogrove vs RDNA? Read ARDA 2 Part 2.
Look at the numerous rituals in ARDA 2 Part 3 ( sections 3.1, 3.2, 3.3).
Designate or acquire a ritual chalice. That’s really the only altar tool in Reformed Druidry. Average price at antique stores is $8-12.
An altar really does help though. (See also: Travel Altars & “Emergency Druid Kit”)
Sickles are optional. (Examples 1, 2, 3) Google your local knife laws.
Practice versions of the RDNA liturgy. You can print a copy if you want. (Example: FedEx Office can print the Unofficial Welcome Pamphlet spiral or comb-bound for about $20) Or you can view the PDFs on a tablet.
In the RDNA we put whiskey in the chalice, usually diluted. You can substitute as necessary. I put together a larger ritual kit to transport everything and double as a portable altar.
Practice. In the RDNA there’s the pesky phrase, “Just do druidry!”
Take a few pictures and share them to social media.
The next step is to wait. Patience is always the first lesson. I can’t guarantee your protogrove will grow. The average half-life of Reformed Druid groups is said to be about four years.
Keep learning. Read the history of all druid movements. Read other books on druidry. Just don’t read The 21 Lessons of Merlyn. John Beckett, an OBOD Druid Grade explains why. Read about the ancient druids: Barry Cunliffe’s Druids: A Very Short Introduction is more concise than I am.
How Did John the Verbose Grow From Solo to Protogrove to Grove?
I have videos about druidry on YouTube
I post my events to Twitter (when I remember that I have an account)
I’m active on the Reformed Druids of North America Facebook Group
I created a “likeable” page for my Grove on Facebook
I search the web for local Pagan Pride events, and speak to a lot of people there
Metaphysical Store employees know people who know people
Visitors & new Grove members come to my events. When I ask them where they heard about it, they mention one of the above resources.
I may have had it easy. I live in the Twin Cities of Minnesota; there are about three million people in the area. Minneapolis is nicknamed “Paganistan” because of how many pagans there are. In 2011 I went from solo to Oakdale Protogrove when I gained a grove member and met with a former Arch-Druid of Carleton College Grove. By September 2013 I was ordained, we had six members, and we voted to form Oakdale Grove and held elections for officers.

My Top 10 most hyped games for 2019!
Now the first Nintendo direct of the year has come and gone and some more of the big releases this year have become a bit more concrete, I think it’s time to vomit my excitement all over you once again by detailing the ten games I’m most looking forward to this year!
Tumblr media
10. Yoshi’s Crafted World
Tumblr media
This adorable little cardboard platformer has been floating around for a couple of years now and I’m v happy that it’s finally nearing release! The striking visuals, unique art style and variety of play-styles with the introduction of the rafting and the kart racing all definitely piqued my interest for this. While I haven’t played a Yoshi game before, I really enjoyed the recent demo they put out and this seems like a whole load of fun you don’t really need to think too deeply about. I’m pretty sure I’ll pick this up at some point.
9. Astral Chain
Tumblr media
From the dudes who brought us Bayonetta comes this steampunk JRPG with a touch of massive robot. And boy, does it look cool. The trailer we were shown in the most recent Nintendo direct kept it cryptic enough that I really didn’t know much of what was happening, but still let me grasp the basics. And I’ve seen enough to know that I want to hear more about this. Plus, the apparent ‘fighting as two people’ has definitely intrigued me. I almost sort of don’t like how easily I’m drawn in by game trailers, but you know, it’s happened now.
8. Man of Medan
Tumblr media
The latest title from the same devs as Until Dawn, a game that very rightfully got into my top 10 games of all time, is the first in their new horror anthology. Keeping the same decision based, quick-time heavy gameplay, this time we’ll be taking control of five tourists trying to find out what happened to this weird war vessel in the middle of the sea. And boy, does it look pretty spooky. If horror is your thing, this might just have slipped under your radar, and it looks so far that it could match the quality of Until Dawn.
7. Animal Crossing
Tumblr media
Yet another Nintendo franchise I’ve somehow never touched, the announcement of a new AC for the Switch alongside Isabelle’s Smash reveal got me hyped anyway. I’ve heard so much about how calm and fun this whole series is and I’m purposely avoiding the other titles now so my first experience can be with this Switch version. I’m just really hoping we get some gameplay footage soon! I really want to know what the features of this one are gonna be. Can we build anywhere we like this time? I hope so.
6. Luigi’s Mansion 3
Tumblr media
Again, I’m totally new to this series as I never really got round to picking up the DS ones (and I’ve never owned a Gamecube) so I’m excited to learn more about this one. Especially after seeing Simon Belmont’s Smash reveal, exploring a spooky mansion as Luigi seems a bit too ridiculous for me to pass up. So I’ll be getting this.
5. Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth
Tumblr media
I’m REALLY into Persona 5 at the minute and, on top of that, my 3DS has been kinda dormant for a while. And if Nintendo are slowly unplugging the life support for their long serving portable, it feels right to send it off with a cool dungeon crawler with my phantom bois in it. Apparently it hasn’t actually been dubbed over here, but still, it’s Persona! I’m sure it’ll be big fun.
4. Pokemon Sword & Shield
Tumblr media
Somehow, I’ve managed to avoid Pokemon for my whole life. Never picked up literally any of the games, never watched the show. So when I tuned into the direct last week out of curiosity, I was nearly blown away by how massively expansive and interesting the world looks. So many colours! And cities and like a mine you can go into?? I’m down for that! This looks to be a pretty great RPG and I think my boyfriend would be sad if I didn’t pick this up so there’s that.
3. Super Mario Maker 2
Tumblr media
And now for the title that makes me SUPER glad I didn’t pick up Mario Bros U Deluxe, Nintendo have now announced that they’re giving us a second helping of infinite Mario on the Switch, this time with a 3D World texture pack! As someone who’s never really delved into a new 2D Mario, other than like ten minutes of the Wii one, I’m pretty excited to basically have an unlimited supply of (probably impossibly designed) levels to toy around with.
2. The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening
Tumblr media
I honestly thought the whisperings of a new 2D Zelda were just baseless rumours, so I really wasn’t getting my hopes up. But considering Breath of the Wild recently became my favourite game ever, seeing this adorable 2D remake of Link’s Awakening at the end of the last direct was enough to make my heart explode. So yeah, call me a sucker for anything Nintendo, but I think it’s honestly earned my pre-order on that trailer alone. I’m mega hyped to literally never put this down.
Here are some games I’m still hyped for, but didn’t quite make the main 10:
Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn
Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Dragon Quest Builders 2
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled
1. MediEvil remake
Tumblr media
This may seem like an odd pick for number 1 considering the rest of the list, but this total reimagining of one of my favourite games of all time, a game I thought Sony had completely abandoned, also made my heart explode but like slightly more. The soundtrack is as amazing as ever, the game looks absolutely BEAUTIFUL from what we’ve seen of the redesign and the upscaled graphics and I am beyond excited to experience this brilliant adventure platformer with its wonderfully stupid British humour in a whole new way this year.
Got some games you’re excited for in 2019? Let me know down below if you want to! Thanks for reading!!
