then a familiar pair of small, perfect hands took a hold of him and he was jarred from his stupor.

" — c - creecher! " he yelped, upon recognizing his hero as he held back on to her, taking off at a run to escape the falling debris. " pino! he is here, we got to find him! "

come to think of it, he'd seen a few faces he recognized running around. he'd have to keep an eye out, as they made their escape.

Ethoslab as a Creecher

Consider.

Etho as a figment of the void, his body long since taken over by a near perfect copy, the Nothing swallowing his soul whole and learning, imitating. Etho as a Great Hunger who devours all. Knowledge, experience, items, worlds, none of it is safe from him.

The only real physical difference between Etho before and Etho now is the hunger. A constant hum inside of his mind to eat and eat and eat. Devour anything not sealed in bedrock but he’s still sort of Etho, even if just an imitation.

Does it even matter if he’s an imitation if its close enough?

Anyways, Etho never taking his mask off because the inside of his body is a vacuum, just a complete lack of anything and matter is always rushing in to fill that void but it never gets there it just vanishes. When Etho pulls down his mask and opens his mouth, the world goes silent and the winds start to howl as a portal to the Deep Void is opened up.

Etho doesn’t like that so he wears his mask all the time and goes to the distant End islands if he gets hungry enough that swallowing a couple shulkers worth of sticks won’t do it. At that point, he just devours an island or two until the hunger pains stop, then he goes back home as if nothing happened.

Sometimes he does something stupid like eat memories but he doesn’t exactly find that a pleasant experience on a moral level even if the taste is delicious. Then again, there are hermits like Scar who already seem to have a bit of a screw lose, so who’s going to notice /hj
