Remember that feeling of rolling out of bed and doing your 15-minute everyday makeup routine (thanks, YouTube!) before running out the door for school? Quarantine may have halted that last part, but an everyday makeup routine is just as essential now that you’re heading back to the classroom in a new way: over Zoom.

Allure Beauty Box Was A Disappointment

Reviews on how they work on my skin coming next week. I will switch out specific items from my current routine to see how well it works.

I will not be purchasing again.They claimed new members get an additional full sized product and that the box it’s self contained 2 full sized products . I don’t see my extra product. If they are saying the NYX makeup brush counts as one of the full sized products then I feel cheated. I am so displeased with the sizes of my products . The sample sizes are outrageously small. The box claims it’s worth 70$ for a mere 15$ a month. More like 50$ if that.I’m hoping my ispy and Play! By Sephora are much better. Reviews for those coming soon. The only thing I love about the box is the products it contains (despite the size). They chose somewhat high end products for my box which includes:

Olay Retinol 24 ,which I’ve been dieing to try ,sample size too small . I get bigger samples at Sephora though Sephora does not sell Olay as far as I’ve seen. Also comes with a 3$ off coupon which I will be using.

NYX Makeup Brush, hoping it blends better than the current brush I use to blend my blush

Wander Beauty Glow After Hours, It’s a beautiful shade of champagne pearl. The sample size of fair. Helps keep skin supple and retain moisture with its flower seed extracts . I love the feel and look of it on my skin . Might just buy the full size

Gorgio Armani Rouge d’Armani Matte Shade 400, red lipstick that’s very tiny. Not hypoallergenic! Actual color differs from what the cap suggests. It’s a darker red shade that makes my lips feel so so soft while I wear it however after an hour or so my lips begin to feel more dry then before I put it on. They’re actually starting to crack. I’d say it’s over priced given the lack of benefits that other brands supply.

Bare Minerals Skinsorials Skin Longevity Vital Power Infusion , not too small for a sampler and contains 3 pollution fighting and antioxidant ingredients. But I already have something for that which contains 6 fighting ingredients . It’s hydrating and replenishing as well as heals aged and damaged skin. Is a redness reducer which I love however not sure if it works yet .

Gorgio Armani Lip Maestro Shade 206, cedar brown color with a red undertone. A hydrating oil absorbing matte silky finish liquid lipstick. I personally love shades of brown on my lips. Still not a brand I’d recommend though the color is gorgeous. It claims it’s hydrating and softening. Haven’t tried it out yet .

Belief peat Miricale Revital Eye Cream, sample size is terribly not worth it. Claims it improves skin elasticity and treats and nourishes the eye area. Is dermatology tested. We shall find out over this next week weather or not it works.

Appeal Ultra Cream Lip Stick Shade muse . ANOTHER DAMN RED SHADE . How many shades of red are they going to give me . It should have been a different color. It’s a some what darker shade of bright red. Currently no knowledge of it yet.

Honey Jarret Super Beau’tea Mask Rose, Jarret tea is a strong anti bacterial while also protecting the skin . It’s an antioxidant, brightening, moisturizing, and rejuvenating mask. Worth 3$. I’m not a huge fan of one time use masks . If it’s results are extraordinary then maybe I’ll become one. It’s also a stem cell booster! Your supposed to use it once a week it’s actually starting to appeal to me the more I read about it.

The mask contains 20 grams (0.70 oz) and it doesn't really have a scent.

The essence is a really beautiful color. It's kind of an iridescent pink color.

The of the mask is good and the eyes, nose and mouth holes all fit pretty comfortably. However, the TENCEL mask is a little bit stiff.

It really evens out my skin and brightens.

Recommended use is after cleansing, 1) smooth skin texture with toner. 2) Open the pouch and attach the mask sheet to the face. 3) Relax for about 10-20 minutes and then remove the sheet. 4) Lightly dab the remaining pink color essence onto the skin to absorb. Pro tip: as quick morning care, use it during the makeup base process after using toner and cream for immediate relief of swelling and toning effects. After using, comparing this to the gold version of this mask, the effects of this mask was much more subtle and it didn't give quite the shine and sparkle, but instead, this gave off a healthy pink glow to the skin and really made my skin tone look vibrant. This really absorbs well into the skin and doesn't cause any issues with placing makeup over top of it. The ingredients are great, I think this is ideal for redness and irritated skin. There's not really any fragrance either, so it should suit any skin type.

What I like: the ingredients are a major plus and fun reason to use this mask. There are no strong fragrances and there are some good strong anti-irritants in the ingredient list. The pink glow is extremely pretty and it's a really fun mask to wear. It's also extremely hydrating and moisturizing and soothing on top of that. It really tones down the redness. What I don't like: nothing really.

@myglamm GLOW Iridescent Brightening Foam Cleanser- As soon as you pump into your hands is has those Iridescent particles which has a holographic effect and its so pretty. In contact with water it turns into foam I usually need 2 pumps of it to cleanse my face properly, Its really soft and gentle on the skin and does not strip natural oils of your skin and makes your skin quiet hydrating.

@myglamm GLOW Iridescent Brightening Toner- the toner is quiet thick than your regular toner it also has some iridescent pearls which looks so pretty. It is quiet hydrating and absorbs into your skin nicely, the shimmer particles aren’t there ON YOUR FACE kinda but its very subtle and gets disappeared.

@myglamm GLOW Iridescent Brightening Moisturizer- This moisturizer is so pretty suitable for normal to oily skin, dry skin people still have to apply a thick moisturizer, The iridescent pearls are more in quantity when you put it on your face it is just like a strobe cream which is quiet nourishing I wouldn’t recommend it for everyday use. I only use before applying makeup as it gives a glowy base, which reflects pink and gold shimmer particles it looks beautiful on the skin, You can also use it like a Highlighter on the days when you don’t want to wear makeup and look all glowy✨ it is a pretty descent moisturizer.

@myglamm GLOW Iridescent Brightening Body lotion- The intersting thing about this body lotion is that it has niacinamide, Also it has the same Iridescent particles which kinda disappears when you apply but I’m not a big fan of the body lotion its just not moisturizing enough. It literally absorbs and disappears and your skin still needs more moisture.You may like it if you have oily skin but it just did not work for me.

Cutie Reviews: NMNL April 19

Welcome to our next April review!

So uh, moving wise.... still no clue what’s going on. But for now let’s just focus on what’s in the box.

Glam Gift

This month the glam gift includes some cutesy items from Holika Holika and The SAEM, with the Holika items based on the Peko snack brand and includes things like face masks, lip balm, eye shadow, and a milky bun puff. The SAEM has lip tint, hand cream, and a highlighter in multi-color.

Meanwhile, this months horoscope is a Japanese or Korean 2019 trend recommendation. Mine, Libra, suggests orange lipstick- which I really honestly don’t think I could pull off at all. I barely think I can pass with coral shades.

To-Plan Shea Butter Body Lotion & Morning Surprise Hand Cream

For our first item we have this cute little bottle of body lotion made from shea butter and several other nourishing ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid, olive oil, and collagen to seal water into the skin to keep it moisturized. It’s also fast-absorbing, so it’s perfect to use after a bath or shower.

It smells very lovely~ I’m not really sure what scent I’m picking up, but it reminds me a lot of what my cucumber-scented Num-Noms smell like ♥ In terms of the quality the lotion has a creamy-fluffy texture and it does absorb really quickly. I do see a tiny hint of greasy residue on my fingers if I rub where I applied it, but I noticed its not leaving streaks or smears on anything I accidentally bump, like in the case of some other lotions. Not sticky at all.

It’s very soothing to put on, and I did use it after my shower recently and I think it did a great job x3 my skin felt so good all day.

Next up we have another lotion product but this is a hand cream. It was available in Monroe Peach or Princess Snail (who looks like Snow White, might have been intentional, I don’t know). I was a bit conflicted over which one I wanted, because I’ve already had Monroe Peach (it’s really nice and smelled great), but... the idea of using a product with Snail in it seemed kind of strange to me. Like, I thought they might hurt the snails to get it and what was what worried me, but most snail-based products use their “excrement“, like the slime or something. Which is still kinda weird, but not harmful to them.

So anyway as you can tell, I got princess snail. Like our previous item this also includes olive oil and shea butter, but with the addition of snail extract or peach (depending on which one you get).

I never really have a problem with these hand creams, they usually all do their job and smell good. I loved my Monroe Peach so I didn’t have any doubts this would be that different besides the scent, and I was pretty much right. It feels really good on my hands, they feel soft, and the scent is pretty good, in an odd sense. I can’t really identity it or compare it to anything.

Peking Opera Sheet Mask

Next we have a face mask by Berrisom, based on the King and Queen roles of Chinese Opera. The Queen mask features red wine and adenosine and focuses on improving skin elasticity, radiance, and hydration, while the King mask features pearl and arbutin and focuses on brightening, treating blemishes, and hydrating the skin. Both masks are made from 100% cotton (which reminds me of Scream 3 every time I hear it :P), making them a good choice for sensitive skin.

With my skin problems usually just being dryness, both make a good option as they focus on hydration.

Initially I was a little concerned over how this would fit because of it being a thinner mask, but it opened easy and I had no trouble getting it on my face. It actually fit really good too and clung to my face the entire time. My face felt really nice after using it too.

In terms of scent... it was kind of perfumey, but after I took it out of the package and used it, I could pick up a bit of a... mineral, charcoal-ish smell? It was pretty light and not overbearing at all.

House-Shaped Makeup Sponges

For on the go or just using at home (see what I did there? :P) we have a set of extremely popular sponges from Japan. Not only does their shape make them really versatile for getting the harder spots of the face, but they don’t overly absorb product. The booklet suggests using it damp for things like liquid foundations and creams, but dry for powders.

These were available in pink, or a peachy skin-tone color.

Despite getting makeup sponges I tend not to use them, like at all. I don’t know why, I just tend to go straight for my fingers or brush (the one that I now have 2 of, I reviewed it a long time ago). But for the sake of review, I moistened the sponge and used it to test both foundation and blush (that side left dry of course).

I actually really like it :D it did take me a few minutes to moisten the sponge but it was practically a miracle worker. The foundation really was easier to apply, and it feels like it soaked into my skin fairly quickly, so my face isn’t greasy or sticky or anything- it’s seriously making me reconsider the sponge. I didn’t have any foundation streaks that I had to fix, and the sponge does a good job of lining those hard spots. My face actually feels nicer than it did before I put it on oddly enough.

However, with the blush... I feel like it was less successful. It might be because I use a light shade, I’m not sure, but I felt like it was way more effort and kind of un-necessary. So I will probably, exclusively just use these for foundation and such.

(Just a warning, if anything resembling blood triggers anyone I’d suggest skipping the next picture~)

Water Candy Lip Tint

I was really excited to get this :3 I love these cutesy facial products and I’m so happy we get them now. I’ve seen this several times (especially for slime coloring. It works really good) and of course I really wanted one (I say that a lot but its the truth).

This is available in several varieties and flavors/scents, but the box focused on 5 different red-themed ones; like cherry, watermelon, apple, etc. I would have been happy with any but I got cherry. The booklet says these are matte, and its essentially right once it begins drying on the lips, so you could put a gloss over them if you wanted. These also moisturize the lips with hyaluronic acid and honey extract.

Now, before I rate it I have a little bit of a funny story. Right after I took the picture I noticed this dripped on the carpet o_o but surprisingly, this color blended in very well with it. I used the next item to clean up the few drops and in no time it cleaned them up!

Because of my pale my skin is (it looks darker in these pictures), I always worry that vibrant red wouldn’t look too good on me. But I can’t say I hated this, I think it looks pretty, and when partially rubbed off it has an even prettier pink hue. By the time it dries it also looks pinkish.

Now as a warning, this cherry scent... smells a lot like cherry medicine. So if you’re triggered by that or have any issues with cherry medicine you won’t like this. I actually like the smell though, I can’t say cherries or cherry flavoring was ever ruined for me either. It has a bit of sweetness on the lips, which by the way, feel a little weird after putting it on. I’m not sure why.

But obviously there is that little problem. Because this is a lip tint, it took it about 20 minutes to completely dry and stop staining. So if you’re impatient or need something quicker I’m not sure this is a good choice.

Stress Relieving Pureful Cleansing Wipes

Next up we have these cleansing wipes by the brand Ariul. Besides being a nice, refreshing wipe, these also moisturize the skin and remove waterpoorf makeup, micro dust, etc. These are also good for sensitive skin and use nothing artificial.

As I mentioned above, these also remove makeup from the carpet. They have a... sort of cleaning lemon fizzyish scent.

Well first of all I love the scent, it’s amazing and such a pick-me-up~

My skin feels cooled and refreshed, and it removes makeup pretty good too. Definitely better than just using a regular wet wipe.

Foot Scrub Sponge & Konnyaku Face Sponge

Our second to final item is this foot scrubbing sponge by Lucky Wink. This sponge is double-sided to fit both uses of exfoliating and healing dry or cracked skin, especially around the heels. It’s a lot easier on the skin than a pumice stone, which can sometimes scratch the skin or irritate it. It can be used wet or dry.

I had a particular rough Monday and was on my feet for most of it- so they really needed this. Initially I wasn’t that sure if it was helping, but I can start seeing one after using it a few more times. I love it!

Our final item for the box is this face sponge made from Konnyaku (asian potato) to exfoliate and massage the skin while using it, removing dead skin cells and dirt from pores to leave the skin feeling smooth. Just make sure you wash it well before using the first time. It’s 100% natural.

I don’t know, I never really feel much of a difference using these types of sponges. They feel pretty nice, and it’s really fun how bouncy they are; but eventually they shrivel up and dry out.

Content - 5 out of 5. Everything is practical and I love most of the items; everything did its job, I didn’t really see any sort of quality problems or issues or anything.

Theme: 4 out of 5. Everything about these items screams spa night- but the lip tint and house applicators aren’t really spa NIGHT in my opinion, you don’t put on makeup when you’re preparing for bed or just pampering yourself with relaxing items you know? They’re more or less for the next day.

Total Rank: 9 out of 10. I’m not sure if I liked this box less than or about the same as I did the last box, I kind of feel like I liked it a smidge better. As I said, the items are fit with the theme exception for 2 of them, but I thought they were all pretty good and work checking out if any interested you. The online shop for these boxes usually has in the beauty items, including some they don’t even put in them ;o

♥ Cutie Scale ♥

1. Body Lotion - Probably the 2nd best smelling thing in the box (next to the wipes), I love how my skin feels after using it.

2. Stress Relieving Wipes - The smell is so pleasant, and I really like how useful and compact these are. I can pop them in my purse or just keep them in the car if I wanted to.

3. Foot Sponge - I was pretty surprised by how decently this has been helping my heels. I really like it. Plus it comes in a cute shape.

4. House Makeup Sponges - Not only are they cute, but it worked very well! I’m impressed and I seriously plan to start using makeup sponges more often!

5. Water Candy Lip Tint - I really like this, but at the same time its a bit of a nuisance... I find the smell to be intoxicating~

6. Face Mask - It smells really good, and it was pretty soothing. I think it was really nice.

7. Hand Cream - I like it and all, but I already have a whole bunch of hand creams at this point and in terms of smell and feel, I’d say its average.

8. Konnyaku Face Sponge - Probably the item I’ll use least out of everything honestly. It’s not bad though, and I think they’re neat to look at and feel.

This product contains 50 ml (1.69 oz) and has a light perfume-y kind of scent.

The packaging is great, it's a very sturdy glass jar.

The cream isn't super thick, it's probably somewhere between thick and lightweight.

The cream blends out without any kind of white streaks.

It refreshes and leaves skin more luminous.

Recommended use is at the last step of skincare, apply an appropriate amount evenly onto the face and pat gently for better absorption. After using, like the other products in this line, there is fragrance but it's light. There aren't many ingredients and there are no irritants listed. The packaging is a nice, hard and sturdy glass jar and a little goes a long way. Upon applying the cream, it's very hydrating and really softens and smooths the skin. It's really gentle and ideal for many skin types, even for sensitive skin. The quality of the cream is really nice and the effects last about 6-8 hours for me personally, but I have very dry skin and have to layer products for longevity's sake. I'd recommend this to anyone, but especially to people with sensitive, oily/combo, or normal skin.

What I like: this product is gentle and pretty hydrating. It really helps to soften the skin and is a good option for sensitive skin. The ingredients are nice and devoid of any major irritants. The packaging is nice and sturdy hard glass. The cream really does a nice job of soaking into the skin and leaving a hydrated finish. What I don't like: fragrance is an issue for many people and this is definitely not suited for super dry skin.

Product 1: OFRA Cosmetics Highlighter in the shade 'Rodeo Drive'

This was the product that I was most excited about receiving. I have a highlighter by OFRA already and I am super obsessed with it so I knew that I was going to love this product as well. UNFORTUNATELY, mine came damaged. It was cracked around the outside and the pan wasn't glued in all the way, so that was a bummer. It was still somewhat usable despite the powder being everywhere. However, the Boxycharm support team was quick to respond to my email regarding the damaged item and they will be sending a replacement. Yay! Anyway back to the product, this highlighter is so creamy and so light for a powder highlighter. It almost glides on like cream and it is SO PIGMENTED. Let me tell you one thing, you do not need a lot of this product. A little goes a loooooong way and therefore it will most likely last you a while. It is a very pretty light/gold/shimmer shade that suits every skin tone. This was in fact a FULL SIZED product, so that is amazing.

Okay.... while I think this is a great product for people who wear red lipstick, I NEVER WEAR RED LIPSTICK. I feel like I mention this in every "beauty profile quiz" I take and subscription services just do not get it. They love to send out red lipsticks. So I guess I will just add this to the pile of red lipsticks I may, but probably never will wear some day. Either way, I was super impressed with this packaging. The lip lacquer itself was very heavy and it felt very luxurious and expensive. It is one of those lipsticks where you twist the bottom and the product comes up through the sponge which is pretty cool seeing as that I don't see those very often anymore. This shade was VERY and I mean VERY pigmented. It is a bright but deep red color, with a glossy finish. It is also a bit sticky for my taste, as are most lip gloss/lacquer type products. Also just a WARNING: this product does not come of easily!!! Like I said its very sticky and thick, so do not try it on with a full face of makeup like I did and then try to take it off because it is going to smear everywhere and stain your face. But overall, this is a great product for people who like this type of product. (not me). This was also yet another FULL SIZE product! Man, Boxycharm for the win this month!

I really really really really really wanted to like these. But what can I say, I have been blessed by the Beauty Blender. I honestly do not think anything will ever match up to the Original Beauty Blender and the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion sponge for me. These are SO much more dense and I feel like they soak up so much product. I prefer a sponge that is super bouncy so that I do not feel as though I am literally bashing something into my face. These just felt hard to me. If you aren’t familiar with beauty sponges, you wet them, and squeeze out any excess water before using them to apply foundation. I applied my foundation and concealer with them this morning and while they got the job done eventually, it took twice the amount of time and twice the amount of product. I used them with a full coverage foundation whereas with the Beauty Blender and Real Techniques sponges I would have gotten a nice, airbrushed and full coverage look, but with these my foundation turned out patchy and it looked like a light coverage foundation. I just was not feeling these guys, but I have heard many good reviews about them as well so I guess it is just your sponge preference. However, I am loving the bright colors and the flat sides made it very easy to get up under the eyes. I think I am going to use these for baking. I feel they will be better used for applying translucent powder than for applying liquid foundation. Once again, another FULL SIZE product! Bless you, Boxycharm!

Hey doll hey!!!! Today I have a full face of Milani Cosmetics products to review for you. I purchased all the products off the Milani website so the prices you see listed are what i paid on the website. So let’s jump into it.

BASE PRODUCTS:

Primer Perfection Hydrating Face Primer ($9.99 for .68 fluid ounces): A This primer is OK. On the website it’s billed as being a moisturizing primer that eliminates the appearance of fine lines, large pores and flaws while also maintaining your skin’s natural moisture balance. This primer did NOT blur the pores or the fine lines. It was, however, pretty moisturizing. This is a white cream primer that leaves a tacky feel to the skin. So far it has kept my face pretty even and despite having face powder on my face feels nourished and not dry. I’ll use it up and then maybe repurchase it depending on how many new primers I discover this year.

Conceal + Perfect 2-in-1 Foundation + Concealer ($9.99 for 1 fluid ounce): A++!! This foundation comes in 45 shades with 18 shades for deeper skin tones. This foundation is billed as being medium to full coverage. I found it to be a full coverage foundation. I had tried this foundation the week it was released and if memory serves me it was a drier more mattifying coverage however this time around it left my skin looking a tiny bit dewy. Now this could be because of the primer and my moisturizer but even on the back of my hand it had the same finish. This is a beautiful foundation. I feel it’s too heavy of a formula to be used under the eyes as a concealer, but it does a phenomenal job as a foundation. You do need to set this foundation as it doesn’t set down on it’s own. This was a foundation that I had in my collection that I used completely up so I am glad to have it back in my collection. A little goes a long way I only needed 1 pump to cover my full face and a light pump for my neck. I don’t see me getting through a full bottle by the end of the year so I wont need to repurchase this for a while.

Retouch + Erase Light-Lifting Concealer ($8.99 for .24 fluid ounces): A+++!!! It comes in 7 shades with 3 shades for deeper skin tones. It’s billed as being a one-step wonder that will instantly erase the look of dark circles, defiant spots and unwelcomed blemishes, delivering striking coverage and a flawless finish and being formulated to give your face a brightening effect. This concealer has medium coverage that does in fact give enough coverage to cover dark circles. I didn’t need my color corrector today when I used this concealer. It isn’t a dry concealer but it isn’t a moisturizing concealer either, it’s someone in the middle of the two things. I purposely didn’t set my under eyes until I was done my brows to see if this would cease and it didn’t. It does have some slip to it so you do need to lightly set it but you don’t need very much powder to set it. The only thing I don’t like about this product is the sponge tip. I wish it would have been a doe-foot applicator instead. I can see myself repurchasing this one when I’ve finished using it up.

Conceal + Perfect Shine-Proof Powder ($10.99 for .43 ounces): A+ This powder is offered in 10 shades with 4 shades for deeper skin tones. It’s billed as being a lightweight mattifying powder that is blended with Lily extract to tighten pores and keep skin fresh. Bamboo powder absorbs oil, ensuring you stay shine-free for hours. The vegan formula provides medium to buildable coverage, for shine control that’s perfect. I only used this powder to lightly set my foundation and it left my skin looking airbrushed. It did not emphasize my pores or my fine lines, and it didn’t emphasize any texture I have around the outer perimeter of the face. I didn’t need to do any touch ups all day. This is a finely milled buttery smooth powder that doesn’t leave you looking cakey, in fact I got up close to the mirror to see if I could detect the powder on my face and I couldn’t … It just buffs into the skin so beautifully. I have so many face powders that I don’t see me getting through this compact within this year so I don’t think I will need to repurchase this for a long while.

Baked Bronzer ($8.99 for .25 ounces of product): B+++!!!! This bronzer is offered in 3 shades. This is a satin finished bronzer that is subtle. I used 3 passes of the product and barely got a light coverage of this bronzer. This is a good natural makeup or no makeup day bronzer. This is billed that it will give your face a perfect glow and your complexion a bold, warm vibe that offers a streak-free glow with a smart shimmer finish. It buffed into the skin well without being chalky or cakey but like I said it’s a subtle color payoff. There isn’t anything bold or vibrant about it. It’s nice and I may use it on no makeup days and maybe even light makeup days but this is definitely not an every day bronzer for me. As a side note… for being a satin bronzer this one isn’t as shimmery as some of the ones I have recently tried … that’s a great benefit.

EYE PRODUCTS:

Most Loved Mattes Eyeshadow Palette ($19.99 for .43 ounces total): A+++!!!! This palette is billed as having 12 full-color matte eyeshadows that deliver captivating glamour. This palette is amazing!!! I have always shied away from Milani’s eyeshadows. I don’t know why, but I just always thought they weren’t going to be good. Boy was I wrong!!! They are pigmented beyond what most drug store palettes are. They are finely milled and not chalky. There is some kickback with in the pans but I had no fall out at all. The shades blend out beautifully and do not loose pigmentation when buffing the colors into one another. This is a great every day palette. I was so impressed that I am already planing on purchasing other palettes from Milani.

Stay Put Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil ($7.99 for .04 ounces of product): A- This pencil is billed as a waterproof gel formula with super-saturated pigments that stay and slay all day that stays exactly where you put it. I chose to give it an A- because this pencil does in fact transfer to the lower eye area (a problem I don’t normally have with eye pencils). This formula is so creamy and so super black that even though it does transfer I will work around that. It doesn’t smear. It doesn’t skip or tug at my lids. It is in face waterproof… I tried to get it off the inner corner of my waterline and had to go in with Bioderma to get it off, and even with that I had to rub pretty hard to get it off. This is a great Florida Heat eyeliner. I will definitely be reaching for this pencil a ton this year. I so wish they would come out with a nude eyeliner in this formula.

Stay Put Brow Color Pomade ($7.99 for .04 fluid ounces of product): A+ This pomade is offered in 8 shades. It’s billed as having superior staying power with up to 16 hours of wear time. There is a learning curve to this pomade but once you get the hang of it the result is pretty. I did notice that it tended to skip on the bald patches of my brows but with a bit of finessing I was able to get the bald areas filled in. I felt that it had the added benefit of sort of glueing my brows in place. I’m trying to grow my brows out so they are a bit long right now so I did have to go in with a brow gel. Even with that the pomade did not fade or move or lift off. The undertone of the color I chose is perfect. I don’t normally like to use pomades because I feel like my brows always come out harsh but because of the undertones in this pomade it doesn’t look that harsh. I really like it and can already tell i will be reaching for this one a ton as well.

Dangerous Lengths Ultra Def 3D Mascara ($9.99 for .27 fluid ounces of product): A This mascara is billed as giving the smallest, sparsest lashes a dramatic lift featuring a weightless, blacker-than-black carbon pigment with a 3D, multi-edged spoolie brush that delivers audacious length with instant deposit — amping up the definition, separation, lift and curl of your lashes. My lashes look so wispy and long. I really like this mascara but I don’t like how heavy it feels on the lashes… I feel like I’m wearing false lashes with how heavy this mascara sits on the lashes. It’s still really good, but I think I will have to use this one only once in a while because of how heavy and noticeable the mascara feels. This is not one I will repurchase but I will use the one I have up.

CHEEK and LIP PRODUCTS:

Rose Powder Blush ($8.99 for .60 ounces of product): A++ This blush is offered in 6 shades ( some mattes and some satins). This formula is a bit chalky and dusty but it buffs into the skin well. It’s not overly pigmented so you don’t have to worry about going in with a light hand. It has good pigmentation it’s just because of the formula it isn’t overly pigmented. I did notice some kickback in the pan but not a lot of kickback. I ordered 2 more shades of this blush. I like how it looks on the cheeks.

Hypnotic Lights Holographic Powder Highlighter ($12.99 for.30 ounces of product):A++!! It’s offered in 4 shades. This highlighter is Allure’s 2018 Best of Beauty Winner. It’s billed as being universally appealing, and compatible with a diverse range of skin tones, this glamorous holographic highlighter is designed with light-reflecting pearls to cast a captivating and hypnotic glow. I don’t understand the reason it’s called holographic because it’s more a duo chrom finish, but at any rate this is an AMAZING highlighter!!! There is no glitter and does not emphasize texture on the face. It’s super pretty and even more so when you go in with a damp brush. It buffs in well and melts into the skin when you use a setting spray. I have so many highlighters that I don’t see me going through this one anytime soon, however it’s so pretty that I am afraid it will get discontinued so I will be purchasing a back up.

Amore Soft Matte Lip Cream ($8.99 for .21 fluid ounces of product): A+++!!!! It’s offered in 24 shades. This lipstick is billed as having a revolutionary, super-saturated formula that dries to a soft, glamorous finish to give you fuller-looking lips. Its double-sided, flexible plush applicator hugs the contours of your lips, working to lock in bold, opaque color. Our soft matte lip cream is non-sticky, smooth and perfect for fearless, all-night wear. I love the way this lipstick smells, it’s got a cake batter scent to it. There was a small learning curve to this one too. At first when I applied it I had put a full on layer and when it dried down it was uncomfortable and crumbly. So I wiped it off, applied a lip balm, and then applied 1 thin coat and it felt amazing. It’s long lasting, having to only apply it 1 time more through out the day. I have tried several lip products from Milani but I had never tried the matte lipsticks. I really like them and have plans to purchase more shades. From the drug store this is my favorite matte formula.

Make It Last Setting Spray ($9.99 for 2.03 fluid ounces of product):A+++!!! This is a Primer+Corrector+Setting spray. This is billed as being a 16-HR setting spray that will lock in your makeup to make touch-ups a thing of the past. There is a scent to this spray that I can’t place but reminds me of my childhood… I don’t know what it is and that’s driving my crazy…. but it’s a pleasant scent. The nozzle on this one give a perfect mist of product. It dried quickly and left my skin looking perfected. I really enjoyed trying this setting spray and will be using this up and will definitely repurchase it, however I think I’ll be the 6 ounce bottle next time.

The FabFitFun Summer 2019 Box was beautifully decorated in a peach tropical color with beautiful pink flowers and green leaves.

The Verdict Our FabFitFun Summer 2019 Review was really enjoyable. There were 7 skin care products to help make your skin look it's best for the summer season. While this many beauty products seems abnormal for a FabFitFun seasonal box, I really like all of them. Hey lovelies! I thought I’d write a beauty related blog post this week as I’ve seen soooo many lovely new product launches at Mecca over the past few months and thought I’d share a little (read: out of my price range but a girl can dream right?) wishlist with you all! Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask

This ‘cult’ favourite product has finally launched in Australia, hooray! The Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask is formulated with watermelon extract, hyaluronic acid and AHA. It claims to deeply hydrate and nourish, creating a post-facial glow by morning. This K-beauty inspired face mask looks and sounds so luxe and dreamy! Mecca Cosmetica Hydra Cheek Tint & Illuminating Balm Duo

Oh my there has been a *lot* of hype about these lovely little pots of gold (quite literally, hehehe) on social media since they launched. They’re officially called Mecca Cosmetica’s Hydra Cheek Tint & Illuminising Duo, and are said to achieve an an effortless and quite natural looking complexion. The cheek tint gives a sweet flush of colour to the skin whilst the luminising balm gives you a subtle yet radiant glow.

Not to mention the gorgeous and compact packaging design, making it the perfect handbag essential for on-the-go touch ups and handy when travelling light. Oh and this product is enriched with vitamin e and other skin-enhancing ingredients, making it as good for your skin as it looks! My interest in trying some cream and liquid makeup products has blossomed this year, so I’m very excited about this launch!

NARS Mini Wanted Eyeshadow Palette

I like to admire (read: obsess over) the NARS eyeshadow palettes whenever a new one is released, however they’re all usually round the $90 plus mark, so there’s no way I’d purchase one… hehehe! However, they recently launched this cute mini version of their classic ‘Wanted’ palette at Mecca and I love it! I’ve noticed that whenever I’ve complimented a few of my favourite bloggers on their eyeshadow (check out that creamy shimmer pigment!), they say it’s from this mini NARS palette! And these shades are so my style…

It features six of the most loved shades from the full sized version and is a little more affordable for $38, if you’re looking to dip your toe into the NARS collection but don’t want to mortgage your house in the process. 🙂

Mecca Max Zoom Shadow Sticks

Another new Mecca Max launch are these cute zoom shadow sticks which sound like a slightly less expensive alternative to the Stila liquid eyeshadows (I own four & love them!), and are $18 each. They’re also all vegan and cruelty free. My only problem is that I love the look of every shade in their range, oops!

Mecca describe this product is a smooth and easy to use eyeshadow stick with a creamy, pigmented and long-lasting formula. They sound very versatile too, and can be used for a strong statement eye, layered with multiple shades for a quick smokey eye effect or buff out for a more natural polished eye look (my personal fav!). I’ve already seen a few makeup artists I follow on Instagram write great reviews about them, so that’s a good sign…

I have my eye on the rose pearl, copper, rust, silver (check it out in action here), white gold and macaroon shades (so basically the whole range, hehehe!)

Mecca Max ‘Wink Ink’ Mascara

I’ve heard lots of great reviews about Mecca Max’s new mascara! Not only does it have such a cute name ‘wink ink’, it’s supposed to create an intensely pigmented, lengthened and volumised look, which I’ve seen on lots of beauty bloggers on Instagram lately. I also love the fact that it’s only $20, which is perfect timing as my current mascara has seen better days. I’m definitely going to pick one of these cuties up next time at Mecca!

Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Ultra Fina Mist

The latest watermelon delight from this K-beauty-inspired brand is a refreshing, super-fine mist with hydrating properties. The brand describes the texture as ‘an ultra-fine mist with a gentle fog of hydration’, it’s supposedly like walking through a cloud of watermelon juice and coming out the other side hydrated, refreshed and smelling like watermelon-flavoured lollies. Yes please! Although I wish this watermelon glow mist came in a smaller size option too, because it’s currently only available in a large size for $43 *sighs*.
