just finished the pd finale. man . no spoilers. augh, i was grinning the whole fucking time even as my eyes were watering because the story was just too good, i fucking loved that so much.
watching it i was like man i miss when they went to school i miss when ashe was okay and i was like maybe i just want to rewatch the whole fucking series because i love it that much. like HOW do you expect me to watch riptide when i have the god damn prime defenders on my mind??? ive been struggling with this for months now and !??? the epilogue?? i need that NOW.
i just want to say. all of the characters had such amazing character growth. obviously wiwi. but dakota?? my boy?? and vynce?? seeing all of these characters mature, however subtly or dramatically, i fucking loved it. they went from awkward cringe teenagers who fought crime for the fun of it. to actual heroes. seeing vynce become so much more emotionally available. seeing dakota push aside his ideals to take care of his friends, because he was a friend before a hero. seeing william accept his position in their lives, accept that he could be enough. god .
GOOD FUCKING FINALE BIZLY!!

Remember the scene where everyone celebrates April's graduation at karaoke right?
Since then I've been thinking of a scene where after the fic ends, maybe after a year, with Leo recovered everyone goes to karaoke again and Leo sings "I'm still standing" with his raspy shitty voice but it would be so sweet
bruh. i'm.

“abuser” is not a type of person—rather, “abuse” is a pattern of behavior. this is an important distinction to make because humans are inconsistent. they might abuse one person, but not another; their abusive behaviors might end; in an otherwise “good” person, they might begin.
this is why terms like “narc abuse” and “borderline abuse” tend to be useless exercises in demonizing mentally ill people. the terms feel useful to people who have dealt with certain patterns of abuse, but ultimately, it places the blame on a disorder—or, really, on a mythical subtype of Bad Person—rather than commenting on the offensive patterns of behavior themselves. those patterns can manifest themselves in anyone, to varying degrees, under various circumstances. also, it’s not like “this disorder places a strain on the patient’s relationships” is a unique situation, the same is true of many other diagnoses
the reality is that people lie and cheat and demean and abuse for a billion different reasons. some do so maliciously, while others do so without fully realizing. sometimes, a person’s abusive behavior might have something to do with a personality disorder; sometimes it doesn’t
it is very easy to be normal about this! and we better fucking start soon, because at this point, we’ve flooded the internet with shitty “how to deal with EVIL NARCISSISTS!!1!” quora posts and now it’s almost impossible to search for help if you or a loved one has a cluster b personality disorder

Bit of a talky one today.
(m!Bal is calling the other Ambrosius 'sir' because he can recognize a trained knight even when he's no longer active, and because calling him by name would feel weird.)
