You can find light even in the darkest of times. . I've been pretty MIA this week because the pain from this possible ovarian cyst has been really bad. . I spent Thursday getting poked, prodded, scanned and told different things from different doctors all leading to no real answers or solutions to what's going on. . I'm frustrated with this. Frustrated with not being able to workout and train for the half that is quickly approaching. Frustrated that I have to go through the work day with a smile on my face treating other people. . I've basically been throwing a pity party and being a Debbie downer and didn't want to spread that energy on here! . But I woke up today and told myself we're done with this mindset. I'm trying to KT Tape myself to see if that helps (check my story) because I'll try anything at this point. I'm going to try to workout later today and/or tomorrow. We all have stories to our lives. Some chapters are amazing and could make movie magic. Some chapters are chill and dull which to me is a cool thing. Chill and dull keeps me out of the chapters that test your faith, your existence and pretty much shake you to your core. Most of the time I live in a very chill dullish world. I thought 37 was going to be an easy breezy year... God had other plans. On October 4th I was contact by my doctor and told that I have breast cancer. Like I said shaken to my core. There is a whole story to my next chapter in life that should have shown me this was not going to be an easy chapter. It has not been easy. I've cried more in the past month than I have in the last 5 years. Am I scared? Helling fucking yes. I would be a liar if I said I wasn't. I tend to be a thinker and that leads to overthinking which for me never leds down a good path. But I know I have Breast Cancer it doesn't have me. I've got this because God's got me and so do my family and friends. I have surgery on Tuesday to remove the lump and I am a fighter. I don't talk about religion or spirituality often because it's a hot button topic and I'm still figuring out where I stand with it all anyways. 🤷🏼‍♀️ . One day I was talking to one of my patients who I formed a good relationship with and she said "Cass, I know you're not religious and you know I don't believe in that stuff either but I was at a loss the other day with everything going on and I prayed in the shower. I asked for guidance of the right decisions to make to give me some answers." and you know what? The next day she got the answer she was looking for! . Now that got me thinking. So I decided to start a new routine in my car ride to work. I say things I'm grateful for even if they haven't happened it." Thank you for making today great", "thank you for keeping me and my family safe in all of our travels", "thank you for my patients not driving me batty today" 😂 whatever it is I feel like I'll need!.. I'm not quite sure who I'm thanking but it makes me feel better! . I also started sending love to someone in my life who may need it. Someone who is sick, going through something or just someone I haven't talked to in a bit. . Take this practice and think I'm bonkers, or take it and incorporate it into your own life!
