Pandorian Mantas have a headcannoned Pandorian name of Flyrteps in the world of Jor Trouble. Which translates loosely to Flying Rug.

Athena ran through the silent village and across the bridge. It wasn’t long before she stood on the step of Avalon’s house. Taking a second to catch her breath, she pounded on the door.

There was a bit of shuffling from the inside before it creaked open. Avalon stood in the doorway, air of extreme disapproval pouring from him.

“What do you want?”

“I need your brother.”

The door slammed in her face.

“AVALON, I SWEAR TO HIGH HEAVEN, OPEN THIS D-”

There was a second of scuffling before the door opened to reveal the person of her search, bowl of dinner in hand.

“Sorry about that. Come on in.”

Stepping through, she came into the front room just in time to see Avalon vanish into the kitchen, rubbing the back of his hood.

Evergray followed her gaze. “Don’t mind him. He and I just had a short…discussion about door manners, and I don’t think he liked how I delivered the lesson. Have a seat. What can I do for you?”

“Gimme a sec…”

Ignoring his confused look, she turned around and fished out what she had come for. Cupping it in her hands, she turned back around.

“I need your help.”

The bowl hit the floor, pasta spilling onto the rug.

“I’d forgotten about ‘im earlier. He fell on me during the battle with Anwir, after his parents got hit by a stray shot that bounced. I have no idea what Anwir was slinging around, but it shot a hole right through them. I snagged him so he didn’t suffer the same fate or get stepped on.” She ran a finger under the little manta’s chin. “Problem is, I have no idea how to take care of one.”

His hands started forward before he caught himself.

“May I?”

“Go ahead.”

Carefully, as if he was handling newly-blown glass, he coaxed the baby into his hands, bringing it up for closer inspection as he sank into the closest chair.

“Hello, little one…” he whispered reverently.

Deep blue eyes studied the Ex-Druid. 

“I don’t believe I’ve seen one of your kind this young before.”

The tiny head tilted, wingtips pittering on his palms.

Tldr one faithful day (as a human) she got teleported to Pandoria, inhaled some sus spores and the next thing she remembers is she woke up in Jorvik and has no idea where she came from, what happened, or why she's a weretiger.

The way the curse(?) works is she's never fully human or animal, but drifts somewhere in between, usually between a standard anthro & human w/ animal ears. I will draw her horse soon, hopefully

(light disclaimer, this character is also related to a parody story I have going with my friends, and frankly, a self-insert. While I will be using her as a stand-in for myself, she's not intended to be completely in line with sso lore)

Starshine rewrite but this time about the dark side;

Sabine is the second most popular girl in school. His dad rich as fuck, he often "donates" goods for the school. She likes playing the victim in every sennario. When Lisa moved to the school she tried to befriend her since Lisa and Anne had some misunderstanding and she swears "my enemy's enemy is my friend" But gladly Lisa hates Sabine. Sabine also owns Khaan and she knows, she is a natural talent in any horse riding style. Crosscountry race? Showjumping? Dressage? She will join the race no matter what!

Jessica (or Jay, they still try to figure this whole existing thing out) is a "transfer" student. They are a young star in the modeling bussiness, but no one knows where they heard about Jessica. They hate horses. They can't stand them, so can you imagine how much they hated, when Derek proposed the idea of a dressage themed photoshot. They also seem to have a somewhat father-daughter dynamic with Mr. Sands.

Katja is the ice queen of the school. She and Buck often bullying the younger students (especially James) and challenging people at the stables. She never attend to class, yet never got expalled. She is from the same area as Alex, but instead of hard work she (and her twin brother Laverne) likes sceme people. This is how she got Stalker (but before the original owner noticed she never got the money, Mr. Sands lended a helping hand)

Mr. Sands is the school history teacher, also has some connection with the oil rig company, Dark Core. He is a misterious figure, who seems to be alive since the 1800s. Linda wants to figure out the history of the Sands family, also the secret the Pine Hill Mansion holds. The kids at school likes Mr. Sands classes, he always manage to talk about the fucked up history of Jorvik. He time to time visit the stables, he seem to have good connection with horses, but when someone asks him about it his answear always the same;

"I lost it once and I'll never be able to get it back"

just now realizing that in the saving concorde quests when Ydrid said “my family” after Garnok broke into the circus tent that he might’ve been remembering what happened to HIS family. this whole time I thought he was referring to Zee and Xin (is that the jester’s name?) but now that I think about it he also could’ve been remembering his family getting killed by Garnok.

I think the thing with people saying “oh I don’t think the pink looks bad on the new magics!” is that if the horses had been released without any of the pink, none of those commentators would be saying “you know what this needs? A fourth color, maybe a clashing one”

Yes you like the pink, but if it hadn’t already been there in the original design you wouldn’t have wanted it, cause why on earth would your mind go to bright pink on orange?

And frankly I’m amazed that someone whose job it is to make aesthetically pleasing coat patterns would come to that conclusion, that pink would look good on orange and green and yellow and red, and go through with it
