What happened to Balan and what's going on with this au and what became overrift

Okay okay so as I've said before, Overrift is a hectic crossover rp that I've been a part of with my friends for nearly 5 years now and Balan has been just one of my recent additions

Theres also another version of this Balan I will hopefully be using for a story based side blog in the near future called Hydenborn!Balan (still has the backstory kind of soul crushing trauma but not the kind that Overrift Balan is experiencing right now. Btw his backstory can be found on another post of mine explaining my Balan's backstory ^^)

So what is going on in Overrift right now is what we call an arc. Each arc of Overrift has a certain danger or a villain with their own reasons to be so. We are currently in the R.O. Pikachu Arc, named after its villain. R.O. (Red Orb) Pikachu (which is actually Blue Orb but we kept the name for too long and we arent changing it now) was a character that was nearly long forgotten to time after being promised a life to live alongside the surface characters, but due to our ignorance, that didn't happen and we forgot about him. Though this means our characters did too. So R.O. begins to gather up a team of characters forgotten in overrift and create a "new world". This "new world" being created in the eyes of R.O. but there was one problem. Many characters in Overrift, he saw as threats to his new world he wanted to create. Characters who have done horrible things in the past and could still do the same or worse again. Alot of these include some of our mostly used characters. Characters who have been eliminated for these reasons have been: Daiz, Krit, Sonya, Callie, Pearl, Miku, Sonic, Lance, Riff (There might be more I'm missing but these are just ones I can think atop of my head. And yes this is a mix of ocs and canon characters, only Lance, played by me)

Now onto what happened to Balan. Balan is one of the MANY casualties that have come out of this arc. His death being because his built up stress and anger burst out, trying to protect his new family. (which consisted of Lance, Sonic, NiGHTS, Kaito, Tone, and Lilia. NiGHTS and Tone being the only ones to survive the whole ordeal. But NiGHTS got turned into a plush so theres that.)

Which as by this screenshot I'll send here, didnt end very well for him at all.
