I said I'd let you all know how it went with the mysterious funghi I found on a woodland walk. Thanks to advice from @dendryad (check out her recently published beautiful Celtic colouring book) I enjoyed a week of delicious lunches. Firstly I followed an online recipe (just type the common name into the search engine): I sliced it, rolled it egg and breadcrumbs, fried it in butter and squeezed a bit of lemon over it. Delicious! Then I made various omelettes (see photo). We have nearly finished a week of half-days at school. There have been wobbles. There have been tears. I feel his anxiety bloom as we approach the gates. I see how tired he is, how managing the demands of others takes its toll. I know that the rigidity of his expectations exhausts him. But there is so much to celebrate. Every day, he promises he will try his best. Every day, his one-to-ones tell me how well he has done, how he has interacted and joined in. I am as proud as I could be. Basketball mad! 🏀 I don't know where it's come from, but she LOVES basketball. Her auntie bought her, her first basketball for Christmas and her Daddy & her would go to the local park to play each evening before bed.
