4th May 2023. A spare chair, a quilt for the daybed and my magic basket that shifts from the little table on the veranda (my desk) to the chair next to it and back again several times a day. I say magical because sometimes it feels like Mary Poppins bottomless carpet bag. Scissors, hand written notes to myself, cards, samples, invoices, string! 2nd May 2023. Those hands. What they create. Hard working. Aways going above and beyond. Stained from years of working with timber. My beautiful, helpful Michael. Sure I could have taken a photo of Michael cutting up my evening meal, or helping me put on my socks or so many other things that he helps me with since the prong of the metal garden rake went completely through my hand ten years ago. There is freedom in letting go of my old life before the accident, letting go of the dreams I had for myself and my family. WHAT A WEEK!! . This week has been non-stop! From kids going back to school full time, to celebrating my Wedding Anniversary (thanks so much for all of the love on that photo!), to then celebrating my firstborn turning 21!! Which I am still in total denial about! 🤣 Then yesterday consisted of trying to fix our broken washing machine and catching up on blog work. No rest for the wicked! But it has been a great one! Great food, lots of laughter, maybe one to many glasses of southern comfort 😅 but it was fun! . And this morning? I'm off out to work with the birds!
