I see a lot of confessions about shipping here, so I'd like to weigh in a few things of my own experience over the years: If you're in your 30s in the RPC as a mun you need to consider carefully who you allow to ship with you if they're younger. Generally if you have a decade or more on the other mun, then you need to accept you're the one who needs to be the responsible adult here in how you interact in and out of character with the younger mun. I mean this as a general rule of being more mindful and considering mistakes you likely made when you were their age in the RPC to watch for. You're also the one who needs to be more attentive of doing your due diligence of background checking on younger muns OC creation process where you can. Don't just read the bio, ask questions about what inspired them to make the OC, engage in asking them about headcanons and the like. I say this because I have encountered younger muns having obvious and covert self insert OC's too many times. Certainly anyone can be guilty of making a self insert but I have noticed a pattern of the muns who are under 26 being more frequent in having them, as well as having too tailored of backstories at times to ship specifically with a canon character you might be writing. Equally you also shouldn't let the younger mun think they can curry favour with you through a talent for blog graphics or art. No matter how nice the media you can receive from them is, you should make clear that they can't buy what they want from you with such things. You're letting them learn they can bribe someone older to get what they want, and they will start to use that tactic with others. It will also tend to blind you to any warning signs the younger mun might have in their writing and general conduct. If you're only looking at the art you might not notice the younger mun openly confessing to things you might not be okay with having them use you for. These things aren't something I see many older muns consider or focus on when they have around a decade on the younger mun, and they're things I feel are important.

I don't know if you know but your Amon, your posts, your poses, your writing are a lot of what drew me in to the FFXIV community and got me so involved in it. So thank you. Ort is the Greater God of the Forest, Woodlands, and the Lost.

A Nuríian fae by birth, Ort sought to find new lands connected to Nurí with his companion, Zhia Tyali. Their expedition through the dangerous realms between the Known and Unknown ended in success when they arrived where a collection of other powers had gathered. Ort would be a instrumental part in the creation of Aanrah and in the creation of the wood elves, though he refuses credit and has left it to the others or Zhia Tyali. Though their journey was an incredible success that put a new place on the map of Nurí and aided in the very creation of an entire world, Ort felt that in the end he lost some of the things he wanted the most. In the end, he said goodbye to his closest companion as she left behind what she once was to join their creations.

Ort is a distant god. Like Mun, he does not really have a organized or proper following, but is very common for offerings and shrines to be scattered throughout the woods. As the god of the Lost, Ort is known to both guide those who have lost their way (both physically and otherwise) back to safety... and known to lead people violently astray, sometimes to never return.

Ort is known for being fickle, and his mood is known for switching at the drop of a dime. Many Náian tales warn children (and adults) from approaching any strange lights or travels in the woods out of the possibility that it’s Ort. Even though he is known for sometimes offering aid and help, including leading people from otherwise certain death, it is well established that any given individual is just as likely to be stolen away to the Faerealms or lead even further astray.

Ort follows strict traditional Nurí attire, showing absolutely no skin besides his ears if his cowl is ever down. Despite his status in both realms, Ort is known for dressing rather unassuming and in drab, sometimes tattered brown clothing, and his mask is always unadorned. He is almost always carrying a lamp when on foot, and is otherwise encountered often on the back of Mun.

In Nurí, Ort is considered a high-ranking ‘archfey��. His formal Nuríian name is Thasca, whereas ‘Ort’ is a name given to him by the wood elves, meaning “them” in Náian .

The wood elf god Bróbh Boíg owes his name to Ort, who named him “Wood Singer” in Náian for Bróbh Boíg’s habit of practicing his music alone in the woods or while he traveled. Bróbh Boíg is the only individual known to have been taken to Nurí by Ort and returned.

//Hi there! Not awkward at all, you're welcome to reach out! I'll say firstly that this post is one that I find has a lot of great information for folks starting out in the community, at least in the "how do I set up a blog?!" sense.

//As for character creation--first off, make sure you're making a blog for a character you could see making a lot of posts as! Whether that's posts about their Pokémon's daily life, about an interesting job they have in the world (that's a thing I like to do a lot--creating a blog that can be both a good place for others to bounce off of as well as something you're really interested in), or about their travels, having a blog that you feel you can blog with regularly is a pretty big help.

//Otherwise, I'd say that some pretty good ways to get started once you have a solid idea you're enthusiastic about include reblogging some ask games (or making your own--people love ask games here!), interacting with community events (@/pkmnirlevents covers a good amount of the events that go on here), or joining an open Discord for the community (there's a few of them out there!). Otherwise, just posting on the main tags (pkmn irl and pokeblogging are two I use; others vary) and interacting with others' posts is a good start. And of course, let me know if/when you make your blog!

//It's been a while since I last had to make this disclaimer, but here's a little reminder which I hope to word as kindly as possible without bristling anyone's skin.

This blog strictly abides by the lore and canon given by the original sources and creators of the used fandoms. That means written material, video games, movies, etc. that were officially made for that fandom.

Opinions and preferences expressed by content creators and employees working within or along that fandom do not fall into this category. This goes double for things said or written by English voice actors of foreign creations (for example: English VAs for Genshin Impact).

I understand some fandoms have a large community that loves and cherishes the voice actors, but I for one prefer to not put these people on a pedestal nor to give their opinions or headcanons any more importance than I would any other fanartist or fanfiction writer.

I think sometimes people lose sight of the fact that a character and his or her English voice are not the same entity. There are many people who work behind a character: concept designers, graphic artists, digital artists, screenwriters, animators, voice actors and directors, and yes, localization teams who translate and voice these characters in a language we can better understand. To give one of these roles more importance does a disservice to all the others who work just as hard to bring these fictional people to life for us and are never given that kind of credit.

So, in order to not leave anyone out, I prefer to keep them all at the same level. I highly appreciate their work and am happy to put my money into their bank accounts, but that is where the transaction ends. What they say or do outside of work does not represent canon and I should not be pressured into aligning to it.

This goes triple for things such as ship preferences. No ship is canon outside of what the source material shows and I will stand on this hill, and that is reflected in my roleplay. What you will find on this blog is limited only by my personal boundaries and comfort and that of my RP partners.

I'm sorry if this disappoints anyone and I hope you can find what you want somewhere else.

born in puerto vallarta mexico, imani was set up for the simple life. her family owned house right on the beach where her mother, father, and grandparents all lived. she was the first born and with that came spoils beyond anything she could imagine. her parents had always dreamed of having a big family, living out their weekends having breakfast in their garden, lunch on the beach, and dinner at the dining table with every seat filled. but when they learned imani was deaf, they initially reconsidered. but went on to have 3 more kids two boys and another girl and while they had their own ailments, imani was the only one who was completely deaf.

she was two years old when her family learned that she couldn’t hear them, and that they’d not only have to learn a new language but look into new ways to parent too. the community they lived in was small, there wasn’t a lot of resources for her, and while her family tried to push through the hardships they felt that imani’s education and overall social environment were suffering more than it needed to and began to save to move to new york. they arrived when imani was 14 years old, and though they’d saved up for at least five years before the move; it still took quite a hit to their finances. both her father and her mother picked up second jobs so that they could keep up with living expenses and also continue to purchase aids for imani like vibrating alarm clocks, asl classes for the family ( since they had learned lsm in mexico and it was the language she was most comfortable in ), and trying to save up for cochlear implants.

this meant that imani spent a lot of time on her own. her siblings didn’t mind translating for her when they were out running around with the local neighborhood kids, but she wanted people to communicate with her directly instead of going through her siblings. since she lived around the corner from a comic bookstore, her father made fast friends with the owner and asked if she could spend time there after school so she wouldn’t be in the house alone. it wasn’t long before she was losing herself in all the comics in the store. she was always disappointed when her father came to pick her up or the store had to close for the evening. she swore she read every comic in that store throughout her high school career more than three times and would do it even more if given the chance.

she grew very fond of the owner and his children. they would give her recs, and always meet her with a new word, phrase, or sentence they learned in asl. they’d read comics together at timed intervals and write each other notes and doodles about what they were currently thinking about what they were reading and where they thought it would go. it was through those reading sessions that imani and the owner’s oldest child decided that they should work on a comic series together.

and any time outside of their asl classes and school in general would be spent trying to craft the perfect superhero stories; one shots, spinoffs, volume long series; they tried it all. and imani had a great outlet for getting everything she was feeling out onto the page. while the comic that she’d started with the owner’s oldest child never took off or got published, it did help her get her foot in the door at marvel comics.

she was 23 years old when their comic finally made it to the desk of an editor, and while they didn’t want that specific story, they could see that she had a vision and plenty of stories to tell. they recently introduced echo, one of their first deaf characters, and wanted her to sign onto the team which she agreed to happily.

she was able to pay the 50k for her cochlear implant and surprised her family with it that same year at christmas. despite the implant, she continued to prefer signing along with her speech and asking others to do the same. she never lost her day dreaming or her doodling, and traveled the world but always longed to be back by the beach. despite her love of comics and all the work she's grateful enough to do, ecology had always been a strong love of hers. she's a plant fanatic and chile is own to some of her favorite plants so when she decided to settle down and open up her own plant shop, opening one in chile made the most sense. she never expected to fall in love as much as she did, but nearly twenty years in the city? it was safe to say she had no plans on leaving.

while she does have a cochlear its still hard to hear or understand unless she’s familiar with your voice, so she will ask if you sign and/or to repeat yourself until she gets your voice down.

can speak english and spanish, her english is a lot better than her spanish but shes trying to get in better practice with it.

the type to answer stupid questions with even stupider answers. not the type to be played with but she at least does it with a sweet smile??? ig???

learning the languages and getting adjusting to her cochlear was really hard at first. it got overwhelming very fast and still does sometimes so there are days where she just wont have the earpiece in at all as a mental reset for herself bc she went so long without it it helps ground her again

very family orientated and talks to her siblings and parents at least twice a day. they come to visit her often and she loves having company so there’s always a guest bedroom ready for anyone

has two kitties echo and miles after her two favorite projects.

a crocheter !! if she’s not drawing she usually has some yarn in her hand crafting something.

while she is confrontational she also hates having the ~break up~ conversations UIJKOFFSDOIJADKL once she decides shes done she just wants to be able to slide out unaffected and unbothered without having to hear what the other person feels about it. can you tell she’s a taurus?

== EXPERIENCE

PLATFORMS USED : I began rp when IRC was the only thing. I use discord and tumblr almost exclusively now. I have been doing this pretty much longer than most of my mutuals have been alive.

PLOTTING / WINGING IT / MEMES : All of the above. My primary muse is a female oc and so I have to be as flexible as humanly possible.

== MUSE PREFERENCE

GENDER : Gender doesn’t factor into my muse choice, and I’d like to think I am equally adept at playing any gender the muse, as a person, happens to be. Creation of a muse can take me up to a year, as I find out who they are as a person, and develop them a bit at a time. And in most cases, that development never ends.

MULTI OR SINGLE : For my tastes, I prefer to have one muse per blog, though maybe I should do a multi. There was a short period of time a while back where the anti-cop rhetoric was so strong, I brought Riley to Beth’s blog because I got nothing but hate and bullshit on his.

LEAST FAVOURITE FACECLAIM(S) : Brie Larson. I just kind of wanna slap her in the face with a cast iron skillet. Eric Andre, because I don’t really like his personality. And sometimes it’s weird to play against YT “celebrities” or actual cartoon characters as a “real life” muse but I don’t really judge based off an FC. For me it’s about mun chemistry and muse chemistry. Someone can have an FC that is super attractive {imo} and Beth might not even notice, even if she’s involved with two other people with that same exact FC, if that makes sense?

== FLUFF / ANGST / SMUT

FLUFF: Beth is the definition of fluff. She has brought galactic super villains to their knees with the power of dumb.

ANGST: She used to be so happy, once. Now it’s so much easier to do angst, and it can come from a variety of sources.

SMUT: Only if you’ve got patience. There are several people who can tell you that it’s taken 7+ years to get in her pants. There have been exactly 2 exceptions to this and I don’t even know how to explain them. However, humble brag...if you can make her fall in love with you, I will set your screen on fiyah. But this is the least important of the three categories.

((Oooo, where do I even begin? Not only is your OC just a delight to have my muses interacting with, you put a lot of yourself into your character that I can’t help but see the love you have for your lil fox. They are a lil creature of your creation, no matter be it they like to go off create chaos for those around them, they have so many thoughts to voice that I often forget it’s a person writing behind this character. They may be stoic, but they care deeply what those they consider close to them may think. They may be clever, but they have their moments of last second regrettable choices that leads them to feeling guilt. They may think they are alone in their own world, but they attract so many friends whenever they go, they had somehow managed to wind themselves into a found family of friends. Lil Siona is a treasure to me that I find often mysterious as much as I take in delight in their lil every day personality ticks.

Not to mention you the mun are also just a sweet heart no matter how life has given you a bad hand sometimes. You may be doing your best with just surviving currently, but you still try to be a good person even when you can get frustrated with some things that can be out of your control. Youre a good friend id like to get to know more as much as I love to learn about your oc. Don’t forget you got a friend who is always rooting for you, too! 💕🐴))

While Lust’s nature is dark and cruel, there are some topics I refuse to write, and those are: Rape / DubCon / Child Abuse / Child Sexual Abuse / Sexual Abuse.

I will not and never will I write with the n/azis characters as a whole. As a POC, it's horrible to see that and the horrors that came with this inspiration. I will block all n/azi characters on sight.

WELCOME TO THE FIFTH ANNUAL RPH SERVER GIFT EXCHANGE 2022 !

we’re back again with the 5th annual RPH server gift exchange ! every year that the server has run this has been loads of fun and we’d love to run it again this year. if you’d like to join please feel free to join the server and fill out the form prior to december 2nd 2022 as partners will be assigned on december 3rd this year ! listed below are the rules as well as a list of different types of gift ideas for folks interested in participating! if you have any questions please feel free to send them in.

EXCHANGE RULES:

must join by december 2nd 2022 so that partners can be assigned by the 3rd of december.

submit the form in the appropriate channel #giftexchangeform for easy access to your partner!

respect triggers and be mindful of the age of your partner, we do have some underage people within the server.

if you need to drop from the exchange please let admin haylie know either by their blog or via discord so they can remove you from the list and rework it if needed. no hard feelings will be had, they just want to be sure that everyone has a partner.

please *DO NOT* post any gifts until January 1st to January 10th to make sure everyone has plenty of time to stagger out when they post their gifts and due to the holidays during this time.

all participating blogs must have the anonymous ask function switched on so that their partners can communicate with them to get gift ideas.
