Venom, Eddie, Phenylethylalanine

Venom and Eddie aggreed that instead of people the symbiote eats chocolate and chicken. In "Venom 2" we [film viewers] discover that Venom needs Phenylethylalanine. But why can't Eddie just make a deal with a laboratory and buy it in bulk?

I googled the word "Phenylethylalanine" and it turned out that such thing does not exhist. Google found nothing relevant apart from links to movies and comics about Venom. But the search engine also suggested that I could have meant "Phenylethylamine". The words sound similar so I decided to read about it. I discovered that Phenylethylamine can be found in human brain and in chocolate. It felt like Phenylethylamine was taken as a basis to create Phenylethylalanine. Phenylethylamine is a drug. At midb parental guide for "Venom 2" marks that drugs are mentioned in the movie, and I believe that is because of the mentioning of Phenylethylalanine (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7097896/parentalguide?ref_=tt_stry_pg). So it is not just me thinking that Phenylethylamine is almost the same thing as Phenylethylalanine. That is why my first thought about the reason Eddie doesn't buy Phenylethylalanine is because it is illegal and he does not want to get in trouble. It seemed logical at the first sight.

But

I researched US law and I found out that listing all the substances that are phohibited by the government is under the jurisdiction of United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). I visited its website (https://www.dea.gov/drug-information/drug-scheduling) and found the schedule of of Controlled Substances (https://www.deadiversion.usdoj.gov/schedules/orangebook/c_cs_alpha.pdf). And there is no Phenylethylamine there. Consequently, it is likely that Phenylethylalanine is not a drug either.

Therefore, Eddie has no obvious reason not to buy Phenylethylalanine in bulk. But he does not do it. The reasons behind all that remain a mystery.

Có ba cảnh giới trong đời người, trước tiên là nhìn xa, nhìn xa mới có thể thâu hết cảnh vật trong tầm mắt; tiếp đó là nhìn thấu, nhìn thấu mới có thể nhìn rõ mồn một bản chất của sự vật; sau cùng là xem nhẹ, chỉ khi xem nhẹ lòng ta mới có thể vui vẻ nhẹ nhàng.

Tự biết hài lòng với kết quả bằng sự nỗ lực của chính bản thân mới chính là trí tuệ của thành công. Tiền ít tiền nhiều bản thân tự thấy no đủ là được.

2. Nhà để ở, chật hay dẹp là do mình, biết vun vén sẽ rộng.

“Đàn ông xây nhà đàn bà xây tổ ấm” xưa nay chưa bao giờ sai, bạn muốn có một nơi trú ngụ thì dễ, xây một tổ ấm mới là khó. Có người bằng lòng nắm tay đi hết một đời với mình thì dù hoàn cảnh nào cũng là sự mãn nguyện. Nhà to nhà bé bản thân hạnh phúc là được.

3. Xe để đi, an toàn là hạnh phúc, đẹp xấu không bằng bình an.

Xe cũng chỉ là vật chất không phải khoe khoang để đổi lấy hạnh phúc, mọi vật chất chỉ là phương tiện phục vụ cuộc sống chúng ta, đừng để bản thân biến thành nô lệ của nó. Xe to xe nhỏ bình an là được.

4. Tài để dụng, đúng chỗ thành danh, sai nơi thành họa.

Tài ai cũng có, nhưng được sử dụng như thế nào mới là điều quan trọng. Có tài mà không có đức thì tài năng chỉ nhằm phục vụ cho lợi ích của một cá nhân, đối với cuộc đời cũng sẽ chỉ là vô giá trị. Thiên tài và đức hạnh giống như viên kim cương, nó tỏa sáng nhất là lồng trong chiếc khung giản dị. Tài năng không phải để rọi sáng tên tuổi bản thân, mà để mang ánh sáng tới cuộc sống của những người khác.

5. Danh để tạo phúc, hữu danh mang đức, đừng mang danh vô thực.

Con người ta sinh ra lớn lên già cả rồi bệnh tật mất đi. Cát bụi lại trở về cát bụi. Âu cũng là quy luật thường tình của một kiếp người. Một đời dài hay ngắn không tính ở thời gian, mà ở danh lưu truyền. Nhân sinh giữa đời không cầu lương thiện, chỉ cầu không thẹn với lòng. Tạo phúc một kiếp danh mang đời đời.

Cần cù hay siêng năng, thông minh hay tài giỏi, tiền tài hay danh vọng quy chung chỉ là một khái niệm, có người nói đó là thước đo cho thành quả, cũng có thể đúng! Người ta cũng nói khi bạn đạt được tất cả thì đó là bạn làm chủ được cuộc sống.

Đời người tựa như một con sông dài, miệt mài tuôn chảy, lúc nhanh lúc chậm, lúc cuộn trào lúc êm dịu. Năm tháng cũng giống như liều thuốc tự nhiên, giúp ta quên đi nhiều thương tổn.
