My Inuyasha oc Kouko's last reference sheet was a bit outdated, and hard for me to properly use and colorpick from, so I figured I'd make a new, more in-depth, easier to use one! Now with a nicer formal outfit, because the last one was an eyesore- LMAO SUPER happy with how this came out though! o(≧▽≦)o This should make drawing her a lot easier, and just all around looks nicer.

Kouko Yoshida, Also known as 'The Sapphire Swordmaiden', is a stoic demon slayer wandering on her own with nothing but her sword, her horse, and her wits. Though her height, with her standing at about 6'2, and her closed off demeanor can make her look a bit cold if not downright intimidating, deep down she's actually just a warmhearted softy with a habit of feeding fish and other animals she comes across on her adventures and picking up pretty rocks. She's more of a gentle giant than anything else when it comes to people or animals, even if she harbors a deeply set grudge against near all demons for reasons she refuses to share.

She meets the main cast through a misunderstanding started through her having a jewel shard or two on her person that ends in the crew gaining two more shards, and a new party member.

She sticks near Kagome and Sango a majority of the time when she isn't alone, mostly because they seem the most trustworthy, with her being unsettled and freaked out by Shippo, and giving Miroku a near constant silent treatment after their first interaction. Though oddly enough Inuyasha seems to be more on her good side than either of the other guys on the team, with her seeing being half demon as being more trustworthy than a fullblooded one. They do end up falling in love, but that's only way later down the line after a long buildup.

I'll write down some little extra little facts about her below, but if you're interested in Kouko's backstory and relationship with Inuyasha more in-depth, you can check out her backstory post, and my “Get to know my ship!” Post

- Her horse is named Aiko, who she takes with her everywhere. She's had him for years, and he's her baby, she'd kill a man for that horse if needed, and likely has at some point. (I intend to draw Aiko in the future!)

- Her favorite hobbies are fishing and collecting rocks she finds pretty. Fishing soothes her mind, while also being a good way of getting food, and collecting rocks is just a culmination of her "Oo shiny" mentality and makes her happy LMAO She has a small bag of all of her favorites she's found over the years.

- She prefers meat over a majority of sweet foods, whether it be fish, chicken, or something else, she's happy with it. One of the few exceptions though is persimmons, which are her favorite fruit, and hold a special place in her heart.

- She has a lower, soothing voice. It gets rumbly and purr-like when she's tired or extra relaxed.

- She's afraid of bugs. Not things like Mister Centipede, but normal, run of the mill bugs. She gets so startled everytime Myoga pops up. Huge demons are light work when compared to the actual two to three inch bug, and her excuse is how easily they could wriggle their way into things like clothes and bags, but they mostly just ick her out.

- Her emotional weakness is fire or smoke in general. She hates the smell of it, and tends to sit a ways away from any campfires they group has, either polishing her weapon, or sewing up rips in her clothes. This only changes later on, when she's gradually brought closer to the campfire little by little, and reassured that she's safe with them over time.

he literally is chaos, so this would be interesting.

you two met in 1-A, with you tranferring in during the last couple months.

despite your late transfer, it didn't take long at all for you to fall into place within the bakusquad. it was only natural with your chaotic nature.

the thing that caught everyone off guard, though, was when you and bakugou became official. you two were two balls of complete chaotic energy, though your energy was more in line with denki and mina while his was... chaos and war.

even people within the squad were a little worried. they knew you two were good with each other, but they worried about one of the symptoms of your chaos; your tendency to get distracted.

bakugou is very focused. he's focused on his goals, on his future, his hero work, his school work, and so on. he can easily shift his focus around and navigate his world (when he's not overwhelming himself), and most people expected him to seek a partner with the same habits.

but

nope.

well it's not that you don't have an ultimate focus, but you do regularly find yourself distracted from tasks at hand. it's easy to grab your attention, but difficult to keep it. you're regularly taking in and trying to process as much of the world around you as you can, living more in the moment. you look for the fun in the world (when appropriate) which is what leads to your chaos.

that's what people were concerned about; that those sides would clash and someone would end up getting hurt.

but

n O P E -

in fact, you balance each other out. yeah, it's all chaos, but it's a good mix of serious determination and light-hearted optimism.

there are many times where you gotta pull him in and remind him the present day exists, and times where he has to remind you that your future matters just as much as the now.

he does panic sometimes, though. it's not that he doesn't trust you, he just doesn't trust that you won't put yourself in harms way for some fun.

he and kiri caught you, mina, sero, and denki at a skatepark once with you sitting in a crate sero taped down onto a skateboard. they were about to push you down a ramp, too caught up in their own chaotic minds to process that maybe this wasn't a good idea-

"hey- is that- OI- SPARKY, GET YOUR DAMN HANDS OFF- !!"

"oh- hey, kiri and baku-!"

"GO [NAME]! WHOOP WHOOP-!"

"DON'T ENCOURAGE IT, RACOON EYES-"

he fucking sprints to you and gets you out before denki pushes you over the edge of the ramp.

"WOO- hEY-!!"

he has to explain that you probably would've gotten a concussion, but you're still angry that he stopped you.

it's okay, though, because you know it's out of care. you often have to do the same thing with him when it comes to training.

"hey- stop that-"

"huh-?"

"you're exhausted."

"what are you? a mind reader?"

"no, i'm a katsuki reader."

"...if i take a break, will you take a nap?"

I forgot to add. You don't even need to follow the original storyline, your oc/story can just take place in that universe. Use your imagination and have fun with it. (It doesn't have to be canon).

Write something you haven't seen others write about or write something that you want to personally read. Do or read something that inspires you, you can even pick a topic for that week and brainstorm ideas or create dot points of the first things you think of at the top of your head (about the topic) and then expand on it, go wild. (This could help if you have writers block.)

For example you can use hogwarts au's & turn it into a death eater au, you don't have to stop it at being students. You can turn camp half-blood au's into just a demi-god au (research greek mythology, they have lots of history/stories, you can base your fic/storyline about or around them). Maybe even base your story around your favourite anime/movie or series 🤷‍♀️. Or maybe even write a cafe/bakery, band, dancer, sports (boxing, volleyball, basketball, etc) or even a manager au (depending on what job you want then to specialize in). You can even write something about a popular kid and nerd or something similar.

You can even use soulmate au's, those are rarely seen these days too. Example the oc's soulmate is a criminal 🤷‍♀️. You can even combine different au's and create new ones. Like the oc can be apart of the mafia & their soulmate is a detective (mafia/detective + soulmate au). They can even be a hacker.

Add horror, thriller, mystery, illnesses (please research it if you want to use it tho & add trigger warnings for readers) or even fantasy elements (fairies, witches, werewolves, vampires, etc). You can make an au with these already. Your oc doesn't even have to be a hero they could be a villain, antihero/femme fatale or protagonist.

You can also use idol au's by making the oc a hairstylist/hairdresser, makeup artist, staff member, photographer, a director or producer. One of my favs is by @bbugyu's dlst & her food vlogger au Classic.

The oc can also be a chef, ceo, youtuber/streamer/gamer and their s/o can be an idol or a cafe worker or it could be the other way around, switch it up 🤷‍♀️. Maybe they're doing the same job & they're rivals or lovers from the beginning of the story.

Basically they can be anything you want them to be. Example Oc & s/o are both gamers and they're lovers from the beginning of the story or they could be in rival teams, maybe enemies to lovers, you can make it slowburn. It depends on which direction you want it to go in. You can even do something like @joyofkinoko's Budget Ghostbusters or @soobnny's Twitch Rivals.

Anyways these are just examples of things I don't see a lot anymore or it's just rarely done. Just for the record I can't write to save my life & this is also a way for me to recommend other blogs 🙃. Sorry for ranting & for how long this was (sorry if there's mistakes/doesn't make sense)!!💕

oO yeah ok these are some pretty interesting ideas 👀 i would be so down to write some of these but alas... my wip list is now taller than johnny on stilts so

also short rant ahead, i just wanted to take this opportunity to express some things 💀

i think the issue with mixing and matching tropes/genres/aus is that it can be time consuming. coming up with something original is hard; i mentioned in a reply way back that it’s hard to be original when a lot of ideas have already been done. originality is, in part, how you write something and how you execute the story, which requires more thorough thought and planning. my fic respice finem was a vampire + crime syndicate memoir-esque story that took me 6 months. at dawn was vampire + crime thriller, and coming up with the plot and then filling in plot holes drove me insane. now i’m writing fight or flight, biopunk + crime syndicate, and i’m at almost 5 months, 50k and i hate it so much i just wANT IT FINISHED.

i enjoy writing longer and more detailed plots (i’m a fucking masochist) but it takes a lot of time, and even after all my hard work on it, i’m not always satisfied with the end result. another thing is reception; i don't want to sound like that bitch who complains about engagement, but writers who write more niche story ideas obviously don't get as much engagement as an nct dream 5k pwp fic. i personally don't care much for numbers, and just want to write hot vampires (yuta 🥵🥵 much sexy mhm) for myself, but i'm sure there are people who feel discouraged and deterred from writing what they want because of the audience.

as for the ideas you mentioned, i can get behind a lot of them and love writing for them! crime, thriller and mystery are some of my go tos. some others i'm maybe less comfortable writing because they're more rooted in romance, and i don't know how to write pure romance to save my life. i have some more commentary/qualms for some of these tropes, but won't include any more unsolicited opinions here lmao.

W o o o oo, been way too long since I posted-much art-wise... let alone anything of Aevri's own sister Elody either (whom I originally debuted here) T-T. Didn't mean to keep this lil sweetie hanging forever, so recently I've decided to give her a whole new makeover to breathe some new life within her role in TTM 🥺💙 Hope you all enjoy learning more about her again! x3

(Bio Info): Elody Ren (age 23) is the firstborn daughter of the late Ryu and Megami Ren, as well as the older sister of Aevri Ren by five years. Born within the calming village of Yulong, Elody was seen as a "gifted child" for not only her early-shown prowess as a Healer mage, but for possessing the rare sub-ability known as "Empath" magic. Within history, Empaths were known for being able to spiritually connect with someone through their emotions and memories in a much deeper level than any average human... giving Elody the status of a Saint-like figure within her community as she grew older. Everyone turned to her for help in fixing the issues in their lives, from small tiffs to bigger personal dramas... a routine that soon grew weary on the girl as she simply wanted to live life like anyone else her age (even with her natural-born wisdom/maturity) Luckily, she at least had a temporary break once she attended St. Ravilda's and graduated into a traveling mage group (including Hakem and a couple others)... but tragically, upon being given the news of her parents' untimely passing, Elody found herself moving back home to be there more for her little sister. At the same time, the villagers would see less and less of Elody through each day... as she simply didn't wish to be burdened by their emotional troubles in a time she needed to handle her own grief... Nowadays, with her sister leaving the nest to start her own mage group... Elody spends her current time as a lone healer far off from modern society, only ever coming down to the village for brief supply runs and nothing more. Each day she worries for the fate of Aevri to keep safe out in the dangerous world of Terra... yet Elody's own heart can't help but want to stay behind to give aide to any other wandering traveler nearby. It doesn't matter where they came from, what they look like, or if they might be a bit "uncouth" on the surface, as long as she can sense that they need her, Elody's right there to give them the helping hand... no matter what. ----------------- (Fun Facts): -Elody's name was primarily derived from "melody", fitted from her late mother's past career as an opera singer. With Aevri being more of the singing-type herself, Elody's (ironically) more preferable to dancing. -With her Empath ability, Elody has a habit of randomly psychoanalyzing people on a whim when no one expects it (think Dawn from "Total Drama" in that sense)... leading to quite a bit of awkwardness on both parties. -While not always known to happen between non-twin siblings, Elody and Aevri share their own form of an "aura bond" with their similar Healing magic. As much Aevri once grew up jealous of all the attention and praise Elody got in favor of her... by now there's no doubt of how much the two truly care for one another. All Aevri wishes for is for Elody to recognize that she doesn't need to "parent" her all the time... that simply being a sister is more than enough for her. -While it may not look it at first glance, Elody's not quite a pacifist as it may seem... as in fact she's actually trained up well in the art of halberd-wielding. Having picked up this battling style from her early teens (namely to avoid potential bullies/creeps), Elody had inspired this drive in Aevri to keep standing her ground (via-wielding her magic shields as throwing-weapons) in a world normally unfair to Healer mages. -On her off-days from healing work, Elody can find herself spending her pastimes tending to her garden, hanging out with her beloved cat Snowie (whom she rescued as a kitten), meditating, and puzzle-building with some old sets she collected (but never got to complete) as a girl. -Though still pretty isolated from her home villagers, Elody does her best to at least stay in contact with her sister and old school friends (often through use of letters delivered by Elody's messenger doves, another of the many animals she tends to raise & look after). -On one fateful night, Elody had an encounter with a grizzled young man known as "Anveil" (Mod Magz' OC)... whom Elody

was somehow able to look past his intimidating visage & background enough to hear him out on his troubles. As much as the world of Terra doesn't speak the highest of this man, there's a part of Elody who feels like there's more to Anveil than what meets the eye... if only he's willing to take that step to change himself.

okay so! i’ve been reading ur oc content, and i’d just like to say i LOVE Ezekiel and David’s whole thing 👉👈 their dynamic is absolutely precious and I care them. late night proposal is by far my favourite story of the bunch :] but Rai is also an interesting character?? All of your characters are good honestly :|

Is there a specific order that the stories go in? Or is it mostly disjointed events? :0

the original idea was they were ocs for bnha but i changed that to uhhh “some people have powers some ppl are humans and some ppl are Not Humans” alsdkjflksdjflkdsfj

i forgot how stupid the titles i still love them alkjdfslksdjf

i dont think ill be writing anymore stuff to post for them but they’re all characters i have brain rot for and think about constantly, like they exist solely in my head now but im 100% open to talking about them alkjdsflksdfj

“you kneel before my throne unaware it was built on lies“ comes first, kind of just a character study for Ezekiel. Ezekiel in the original story idea had a lightning based quirk that he lost after a pretty bad car accident, and in the current canon that exists in my head he doesn’t have powers but Im not sure if im gonna keep it as he lost them or if he just never had them in the first place ;oo!! the titles a bit on an allusion to the villains assuming he has a quirk but he doesnt actually lmao

“what would the church think” is next, I’d say this is still pretty canon but there is a big gap between the previous fic and this one. a lot happens that i havent actually written about, stuff thats kind of essential to their current dynamic but i dont want to ramble bc idk if you’re really that interested laskjflskdjfj

“late night proposal” comes after that, this is just soft fluff that i think is mainly canon but happens a lot later on in the timeline bc david and ezekiel need to really Bond first o k, ezekiel has trust issues and davids trying His Best

“bury me shallow, i'll be back” is a very brief study of ezekiel’s relationship with i guess. the publics perception of him? it’s mostly canon, it’d be post him marrying david and the vibes kind of “he doesnt have to fight for himself anymore”

“The Earth is littered with the ruins of empires that believed they were eternal” (long title but i still think its funny alkjsdflkdsjf) is probably the only one i’d put solidly in “not canon” but dont worry jacobi still manages to fuck up the family anyways lmao

“when i said it i thought it was true” is also not canon, David is actually replaced with a new character, Jacobi, who instead of a pro hero going undercover is a cop. jacobis trash and we hate him <3 david becomes the dad the family needs and is furious that jacobi fucked shit up (aka david wants to be part of the family but jacobi gave them trust issues)

“Alter” is just a little one off thing, im not really sure where i even got the idea or title from hm i guess it was just an attempt to write a threatening character but it falls a little flat imo, not my best work alksdjflksdfj

“how to befriend your local gremlin” is a stand alone piece in a different universe, unrelated to Atlas or any of the others, just a fun little one shot :D still one of my favorite things ive written, its got some bangers in there alright alksjdflkdsfj

“could you fight for me?” came from the overwhelming urge to write fantasy lesbians w/ sign language and dumbassery and i havent really thought about the characters since unfortunately alskdjflksdjf

Well i originaly thought my dad was Erebus Fisbach but i found out my father is really Erebus's brother Morpheus Fisbach.

(rests hand on stomach) about 2 and a half months along. 2 of them are all grown up. aaron and asher. um...then theres kira and nile...their.....currently missing......but um then theres haku! hes techincaly 5. he um was born unsualy so really hes actualy only like 6 months old its a really long story. and then there kiddo number 6... their names going to be dakota. i cant wait to meet them
