how's the new game going? been seeing a crazy amount of takes in every direction about it

short version is it is SO BUGGY (all the comments you have definitely already heard about the terrible performance issues are no joke; i don’t give much of a shit about graphical errors, of which there are many, but i’ve encountered a few bugs that actually ruined gameplay moments)......but also SO AMAZINGLY FUN...i don't want to put it down 😭😭

#it definitely should have been given more time in the game oven etc etc but oh my god it is SO fun???? #i LOVE it unfortunately... #if you really love Pokemon i think you'll really enjoy the game #buuuut if you're not so big on Pokemon the performance issues might be too much of a hurdle to overlook #imo the open world aspect is incredible and i always feel like there's something for me to be doing #and yet i keep getting distracted because i see something shiny in the distance...and then i get horribly lost #just like what would probably happen to me if i actually lived in the Pokemon world sklf;jkl.... #a lot of new Pokemon that i didn't like much at first glance i've grown to like more after seeing in-game #because they have a lot of personality...the story has been entertaining so far etc... #if not for the performance issues i feel like these games would maybe be a couple of the best in the series #unfortunately now they're probably only going to be remembered for the bugs though 😂 #i've seen people who don't even like Pokemon coming out of the woodwork to dunk on them and it's like Okay Come On Guys

#in short… I hate the Pol//aris P Po//lanski shit #14 year old D//GR fans will be like ‘I know so much about Byakuya 🥺🥺 I read a brief synopsis of his light novel and completely - #misinterpretated this whole plot point and the majority of his quotes!!’ #if you didn’t know: in the light novel he has to cross dress to get into the Legacy Crown Championship #(which decides who is head male - and who gets exhiled) #but if you BOTHERED to read the ending of the dubiously canon novel and his CANON LINES you would know that the plot is actually all in - #-Bl//ue Ink’s head (his step sister who ‘documents’ his legacy as he thinks he is destined to win) #- false memories. I can’t EXACTLY remember why but it was only a dubious recollection of actual events — and in-game and in the novel - #-Byakuya is recognised as #- one of the 15 ‘gold rank’ Tog//ami siblings and therefore never needed to cross-dress to get into the race in the first place #also the book is just hella confusing and awfully gruesome LMAO #but the drawing had his disguise in glasses when Pol//aris wore contacts!! because in the novel Byakuya states he finds glasses unappealing- #-on a woman. though fashionable for himself as a man (thanks ‘Kuya… I have 20/20 vision and I still hate that). #so yeah I was mega uncomfortable for no reason I’m just pedantic and I hate the fandom (for the most part) #I love you guys though LMAO #sorry I sounded like a gatekeeper LOL #I’ve ran into like… 3 more wives of Byakuya and I do actually really like their content and was okay with them but I didn’t interact beyond- #- a cursory glance because I don’t want to risk myself being uncomfortable or anyone else. i graduated college today!

#all of my self inserts are extremely indulgent and are locked into my Brain #but there's one concept that I've been thinking of lately that's vry fun and I've been tossing it about in my brain #they're a baby born from a templar father who managed to escape some time around 15 or 16 #they began training from a very early age as their father wanted a soldier who could go head to head with the assassin's on their own turf #alot of cultish and bad stuff happened but they were managed to be rescued by a novice who became their first friend ^-^ #most assassin's are still skittish and untrusting of her considering her templar upbringing but she was kinda... indoctrinated? from birth? #and had wanted to leave YEARS ago but only managed it in their teen years #but anyway. she usually works alone or with her two other assassin friends as one: no one really trusts her to begin with #and two: big BIG anxiety that makes it hard to work with people when they know that they're largely seen as a threat or liability #she's pretty high on the assassin ranking though! and their little team has a damn high success rate so vry few people have reason- #to complain. mostly newer recruits or those with a BIG grudge against templars in general #anyway physical description time. theyre like altair and that they only rly wear lighttttt armor. heavy or even mid armor is a big NO #vry vry sneaky and patient. is mostly an opportunistic assassin and relies more of stealthy tactics than brute force #but because of this they are NOT a super heavy fighter. usually tries to lean on surprise and skill rather than 1v1 fighting #if force comes to shove though they can most def fight. but tries to flee the moment they find an opening #is pretty mute! keeps things close to her chest and is still in the process of learning to trust anyone at all. even assassin's #wears black and white feathered earrings as well as small golden hoops. has a bunch of piercings #is much MUCH on the smaller. slimmer side but it actually kinda works cause most dont clock her as an assassin at first glance #this makes them good for infiltration and scouting work! #best pair for them is a more brute force assassin who leans towards defense :] #theyre a lil guy. I love them alot. they also have some isu bullshit going on that I might explain

#spooky arts #i have so many issues with this design #first off. he looks nothing like p03. aside from the freckles or the specific way i draw his eyes/brows (but youd have to follow my art to #know this) theres nothing that tells you who it is at the first glance. #secondly. he looks too young. baby faced motherfucker. i mean these fickers dont age normally on the account of not being organic but #COME ON. #im browsing apartments just outta curiosity rn because ive been thinking about my future and all that #ive got a friend and we're thinking about becoming roommates and getting an apartment together until we get our shit figured out as - #- Official Adults™ so im just figuring out what you should be looking for in an apartment #rent is surprisingly low compared to a lot of other capital cities so im happy about that #there's a nice loft apartment that's $1400 for a two bed apartment. which is still expensive but its a lot less than most places rn #plus its got plenty of amenities #utilities included. in-unit washer/dryer. lots of community areas. well maintained. bike storage and repair station. well maintained. #its on the outskirts of downtown too so its still super close to everything that has to offer but its not crazy loud #the only major downside on first glance is that it looks like sound carries REALLY well through the rooms which.... is an issue #i need privacy man :')) #it looks really cool though #they have a community spot where local musicians perform on friday nights and according to the reviews the building owners are really nice #idk if there will still be spots there when we decide to move in together but it looks like a solid option #we'd be splitting the rent 50/50 so it'll make things more manageable price-wise

intimacy plus dazai is one of my favourite things

#kat rambles #it's just especially with Dazai intimacy and softness are so so precious it's like it melts me #the internal conflict one can write about as a result is delicious. the tiny behavioural gestures that suggest hesitancy mm #on a side note it's actually quite interesting when one compares the sense of intimacy Dazai-sensei creates in his writing with bsd #Dazai-sensei is in a way intimate with his readers yet remains an ironic distance the tone and the way he writes definitely invites the #readers to engage with him #he doesn’t give the whole truth and I think it's really interesting from the translator's introduction I read yesterday is that Dazai #almost teases his readers with details he brings up something very briefly in one text then elaborates it somewhat in another but doesn’t #reveal everything and it's something I almost forget as someone who as understood at least somewhat of his biography... most readers at the #actual time do not have that luxury #whereas bsd establishes dazai in an almost distanced way #you never see from his eyes his pov his thoughs #his character arc is seen entirely from other people's backstories and he is only ever seen from other people's ppv #*pov #so actually thinking about it both of them kind of establish and bring details about dazai into light in a slow way #almost teasing the readers to continue diving deeper #I just find it fascinating how Dazai-sensei himself and Bsd chose to present 'Dazai' #from a direct quote from The Saga of Dazai Osamu: He is extraordinarily revealing it appears at first glance; and yet #unless you have been been following the course of his argument through years of time and dozens of journals #he does not reveal too much #to you at any one time #food for thought I guess? #because it is actually a really interesting experience having seen bsd dazai then interacting with Dazai-sensei's writings where he seems #so revealing and confessional and open #maybe I need to adapt some of this to my writing🤔 #might delete this when I'm back from homework
