yesterday in my literature class someone was talking about how theyd taken a copyediting class and found it so horrible n difficult even tho all of the tests were open book/note bc its about knowing how to navigate the chicago manual of style.

im in that professor's proofreading class and we had to take a pre-test just to show the prof how familiar we are w cmos and u KNOW my ass got a 100% and had fuckin ball while flippin thru my big beautiful brick

#proofreading/copyediting surely is not for everyone bc it IS tedious and its like who CARES if theres a dropped comma or where a period goes #:) i cares :) #it was extra fun bc she basically pulled the wording DIRECTLY from the book to make the q's so it very much so was just testing our ability #navigate the book.
