An illustration based in my Old OCs AU.

While not directly pulled from one of the old fics, this scene has been bouncing around in my head like a game of Pong since I came up with the idea of the Old OCs AU. It's loosely inspired by a scene in Kaiyo's original story, but I switched around the dialogue because the body language I drew was far different than what was orignally written.

Mostly, I just wanted an excuse to play around with lighting...and the subtle golden glow of her eyes. My intent was to try to capture a mysterious, slightly unnerving atmosphere. She has secrets, and bits of her story aren't quite adding up. And she's far more dangerous than she's letting on.

Did I succeed? I dunno. What do y'all think?

Headcanon featured: toddler drones know how to walk on their own. That being said, the actual act of walking is drastically different. Turns out gravity is not their friend anymore, which sucks because they’re trying to get a hang of this new thing called “balancing.”

Kalissa Nyo (OC): Six years ago, Kalissa was just the youngest daughter of the most powerful---and fearsome---vampire clans in all of Japan. Then those damn Slayers came, and took away her family. All Kalissa wants is her family back...and revenge on those monsters that killed the ones she loved. Well, she'll show them all, won't she? Especially with her new family on her side...

Ichiru Kiryu (CC): Six years ago, Ichiru's parents were killed. He would have died too, if it weren't for Kalissa. She's promised to turn him, to cure him of the childhood illness that's plagued him his whole life, and that was all he'd ever wanted. But now things are getting complicated. And Ichiru is starting to question what he really wants...

Kaiyo Iruka (OC): Kaiyo still doesn't fully understand the family she's been drawn into. Why is there a human boy acting as her guard? What's going on with the strange, scarred little girl they're keeping sequestered in a locked room? Why has Kaiyo started losing time, experiencing blackouts that she can't explain? And why are they enrolling her in Cross Academy, of all places?
