Summery: Luther doesn't feel attraction to people, and at age 29, he figures out that that's ok

Relationship: Luther & Allison (not romantic currently, but certainly implied to be in the past)

Luther never understood the giggling and blushing that followed his siblings mentioning certain celebrities names, or "cute" teens they saw during missions. Whenever they asked him about who he "liked", he said, "I like all of you, and Mom, and Pogo."

He supposed that he liked Allison, she always seemed like a kindred spirit. She never asked anything of him, they danced and they cuddled and whenever he was uncomfortable with what she was doing, she stopped. He thought she was pretty, but he never thought of her as "hot."

When he got older, girls started throwing themselves at him and his brothers whenever they were in public. His brothers took it in stride, but Luther had a hard time coming to terms with that others wanted "things" from him. He felt like something was wrong with him, shouldn't he like it?

He spent most of his adulthood alone, and when he was 29, he "did it" for the first time. It was the middle of the apocalypse, and he was drunk and high out of his mind. Later on, Klaus and Diego explained to him how it was wrong for a sober person to do things with an intoxicated person. That wasn't why it felt wierd to him at first, but that realisation made him feel worse.

Now the threat was over, and he noticed that people started noticing him again. He didn't understand why, he may have been considered attractive before the accident, but now? Klaus said it was because people liked his face. He still didn't get it, he liked plenty of people's faces, and he wasn't lined up to sleep with all those people.

One time, he was out with his family do their weekly family outing, and this situation happened again. The girl at the counter batted her eyes and smiled at him. A lot.

Allison noticed that he was uncomfortable, and quickly pulled him away. They went home with armfuls of niknaks and groceries, and Allison and Luther volunteered to put them away.

They worked in silence. When they were halfway done, Allison spoke up.

"Hey Luther..."

He swiveled his head away from the cupboard he was filling. "Yeah?"

"I noticed that you were kinda uncomfortable with that girl flirting with you, and I was wondering..."

He made a "go on" motion with his head.

"Are you Ace?"

He stared blankly.

"I mean, you never wanted to do anything when we were younger, and you didn't lose your V-card until you were 29."

"I was never in public long enough to-"

"Yeah I know, but... ok, have you ever had a crush on anyone before?"

"No?"

"But you do have, like, emotional connections and romantic feelings and stuff?"

He paused and thought about it. There was a really nice girl that he met when he was fourteen, during a mission. He wanted to hold her hand, but that was the extent of his feelings.

"...Yes."

"Ok, so that's what being Asexual means. You don't want to have sex with anyone, and you might not be physically attracted to them, but you still can feel romantically towards people."

Luther turned back to his groceries. Allison almost seemed to panic.

"I'm not trying to force you to label yourself or anything-"

"No it's fine, I just... I always thought something was wrong with me."

She put her hand on his shoulder and gently turned him towards her. "There's nothing wrong with you, there are lots of people who feel like this. I did charity work for LGBT+ kids a couple years ago, and tons of kids talked to me about it." She said with a smile.

She studied his face for a moment, and asked tentatively, "do you want a hug?"

He nodded, eyes almost teary. She wrapped her arms around his torso and rested her head on his chest.

"Theres nothing wrong with you."

Alex Danvers Dates a lot

Hey this was inspired by episode where she doesnt reemember Becca (4x12 I think) and that other episode where Kara teases Alex about going on like a million dates

Alex Danvers Dates

Monday

Kara knew she was a little early for breakfast but she let herself into Alex’s apartment and set the bag of donuts and coffee down on the kitchen island. Kara pulled out two donuts and started to eat one looking over the niknaks inside her sister’s apartment. A beautiful Asian woman wearing one of Alex’s old band shirts walked out of the hallway leading to Alex’s room Kara stared slack-jawed at the woman wearing her sister’s shirt. “Oh you must be Alex’s sister. Kara right?” The woman said. Kara nodded slowly. “I’m Kamilla. Alex went for a run she should be back soon.” The woman, Kamilla said. Kara took the woman’s out-stretched hand and shook it slowly before walking back down the hallway leading to Alex’s bathroom. Kara turned her head to the sound of Alex’s front door opening as her sister walked through the door “What’s up sis?” Alex asked when she saw her little sister and then turned her attention to the woman from before as she walked out of her room “See you tonight?” Alex asked. “Definitely!” Kamilla growled raking her fingernails along the abs exposed by Alex’s sports bra. “Nice meeting you Kara” Kamilla said walking out of Alex’s apartment. “Wow” Kara said “Oh that’s just Kamilla she’s... a friend.” “A really good friend.” Kara snickered pointing out the hickies on Alex’s shoulders and scratch marks on her back.

Tuesday

Kara laughed at James joke and then leaned back in her chair taking a sip of her drink. “Hey where’s Alex?” she asked suddenly, scanning the room for her sister “She is, how you say, “putting the moves on” that Thanagarian” Brainy said. Alex was standing between the legs of a stunning red headed Thanagarian woman. The woman’s hands gripped Alex’s hips possessively. Alex leaned in and kissed the woman passionately before extracting herself from the woman’s hands and legs which had wrapped around her waist. Alex led the Thanagarian woman out of the bar.

—————the next day—————

Kara handed Alex a cup of coffee “You apparently had a fun night.” Kara said noting Alex’s bloodshot eyes. “Did you at least get a name or were you too busy screwing to notice”. “Her name is Shayera Hol so I did get a name” Alex said before taking a sip of her coffee.

Wednesday

“You sure you don’t want me to cook you breakfast?” The dark haired woman said pulling Alex in by her robe and running her hands down Alex’s arms. “Sorry but I have to be at work soon and I don’t want to traumatize my little sister”. “I greatly appreciate you quenching your libido for me” Kara called from the living room. “See you around then” the woman said and left. Alex closed the door and walked over to the couch to sit next to her sister who was watching her with a knowing smirk. “What’s that look supposed to mean?” “Oh nothing” Kara replied. Kara inhaled, “Womanizer, woman-womanizer you’re a womanizer, Oh womanizer, oh you’re a womanizer, baby” Kara sang. “Rude” Alex said. “Ha, after you got over Maggie, you became the female version of Barney Stinson but worse because your my sister.” Alex gaped at her little sister “What I’m not that bad” Alex said “Ok, what was that nice lady’s name” Kara asked. Alex thought for a moment. “Fuck” Alex whispered. Alex snapped her fingers “Katherine” she said “...or Becca. No, Diana. It was Definitely Diana Prince or something like that.” Alex said, this sent her little sister into a fit of laughter. “Hey in my defense it’s not easy to get someone’s name while your making out and have your hands done each other’s pants.” Alex said. Kara clapped her hands over her ears “Lalalalala. I don’t want to hear about my sisters sexcapades”. Alex laughed at her sister’s antics and took a sip of the coffee Kara had brought with her, reminiscing on her night with Diana. Apparently she was a princess or something. Alex’s phone buzzed. “You free tonight?” The text said. Alex quickly typed out a reply “For you? Definitely”. Kara read the text as Alex typed it, “Seriously how can you possibly have two dates set up within 12 hours of each other” Kara exclaimed. “Hey, Diana sort of just happened I didn’t know that she would ask to come over.” Alex said. “Anyways Kara, I have a real date with a Thanagarian this evening happy?” “Does she have a name that you remember?” Kara snickered “Ha, ha, ha” Alex replied sarcastically “Her name is Shayera Hol and she’s from Thanagar I met her at the alien bar. Now help me get ready”.
