For the character asks: 12 for Lila and/or Ojka, whatever strikes your fancy?
You get both!
12. What's a headcanon you have for this character?
My most stable headcanon for Lila is that she honestly isn't as good at winning fights as she thinks she is. Her antari healing makes her think her injuries are more minor than they are. That's why she notes that she has a lot of scars, comparatively, even though antari don't really scar.
My headcanon for Ojka is that she knew, or at least, knew of Holland, pre-Danes and Vortalis, so she knew what he was like and what his job was and etc before he was the king. It was a pre-existing crush.

SOME THEORIES ABOUT THE AFTERLIFE
The four rivers in the four Londons are all connected to eachother, which allows for the constant flow of Magic, passing through one London into the next, and back again. I believe the same could be said about all the other supposed fixed points. At least until the barriers were put in place, barriers which restricted this flux considerably.
I believe that when a person dies, their Magic does indeed get reunited with the Magic present in their own world, most of the time, at least. When a person is born the reverse happens, and they draw from the sources of Magic present in their world, Antari being the exception by drawing from Magic present in all four Londons. But I don't think that Magic, even when lost, necessarily loses the person's characteristics. I think the person leaves an imprint on the Magic they had.
Which is where spirits come into play. I think that certain people, that for one reason or another didn't want to/feel ready to leave yet, could tie their Magic to objects/other people involuntarily, just to stay a little longer.
I believe Antari, being the strongest have the highest probability of creating these types of ties, but people with Tesali's ability could probably consciously tie another person's Magic to things, but not necessarily their own, as they seemingly don't have any.
I also think that demons, like Osaron, are a amalgamation of multiple of these type of restless spirits, Magic with the will of multiple.
I believe that's what causes demons to crave life, to spread about, even if it inevitably ends in destruction.
I think Antari are theoretically the corporeal version of a demon, having multiple types of Magic in one body, that being the reason they could carry Osaron, without burning out as fast. Their bodies have adapted to this somewhat.
I think the process Ojka went through was one in which her body was forced to mutate in this type of way, and not all people can survive it, as shown.
I believe faith in one's abilities or in the abilities of another gives one the means to survive this. Both Ojka and Kosika believed in Holland and were able to carry Magic which was not their own. Was Kosika actually supposed to be an Antari and that made her the obvious choice, or was she, like Ojka, modified by Magic?
That's what makes me think it might be possible to bring Holland back, maybe by tying him to another body, or even his own if Kosika manages to rebuild it. Imagine possessing your own corpse.
And honestly the idea of ghosts seems quite interesting.
Would they be able to interact with their surroundings? Could unexplainable phenomenons be attributed to their presence?
Different types of Magic could be the cause of different happenings.
Could people who can see Magic somewhat sense them? Even see them? I frankly believe most instances of possession by spirits would happen to Antari and people like Tesali, as they seem more susceptible to it due to their stronger connection to Magic. Maybe people who bound others to them could reactivate the rune with enough Magic even after their death? This one would be terrifying to think about.
If this theory were true, would dealing with the spirits from which Osaron is composed individually, end up dismantling him? Make it so he could be dispelled, finally?
There's a multitude of possibilities for the mechanics of the afterlife in this universe and I don't know where I should start putting my thoughts in order.

"Somewhere I Have Never Traveled, Gladly Beyond" by E. E. Cummings
somewhere i have never travelled, gladly beyond any experience, your eyes have their silence: in your most frail gesture are things which enclose me, or which i cannot touch because they are too near your slightest look easily will unclose me though i have closed myself as fingers, you open always petal by petal myself as Spring opens (touching skillfully, mysteriously) her first rose or if your wish be to close me, i and my life will shut very beautifully, suddenly, as when the heart of this flower imagines the snow carefully everywhere descending; nothing which we are to perceive in this world equals the power of your intense fragility: whose texture compels me with the colour of its countries, rendering death and forever with each breathing (i do not know what it is about you that closes and opens; only something in me understands the voice of your eyes is deeper than all roses) nobody, not even the rain, has such small hands

I love Holland's faith in Kell being good, and how he uses it to push through with his not every good plans. Like in A Darker Shade of Magic when he knew that Kell would come back to save Lila even through how much she protested that he didn't care about her. Or in A Gathering of Shadows, when he hears from Ojka that Kell ran away, Holland is confident that he will come back because he always does. This is a great antagonist/protagonist relationship if I've ever seen one.
Not really the same but I really like the detail of how when Ojka asks him who the collar is for, Holland says "an old friend."

If I was a DSOM character I would be Ojka bc I, too, would side with Holland. Have you seen him? He’s powerful, he’s smart, he would survive an actual apocalypse if he were real. Siding with Holland means you baso have guaranteed survival

Headcanon about Antari bloodtype
The type of blood a person has, is determined by the presence or absence of certain antigens.
Antigens are substances that, if foreign to the body trigger an immune response.
There are over 600 different antigens across more than 36 blood group systems that may be present or absent on our red blood cells.
You have a ‘rare’ blood type if your blood is missing an antigen which is common to most, or if it has an antigen which most don’t have.
Plasma contains antibodies which fight infections and antigens of the same type.
The 4 main types of blood are determined by the presence or absence of two antigens, A and B, on the surface of the red blood cells. This classification is done by the A,B,O blood group system.
The bloodtype A has the A antigen on the surface of it's red blood cells and the B antibody in it's plasma.
The bloodtype B has the B antigen on the surface of it's red blood cells and the A antibody in it's plasma.
The bloodtype AB has both the A and B antigens on the surface of it's red blood cells and neither A or B antibodies in it's plasma.
The bloodtype O has neither A or B antigens on the surface of it's red blood cells, but both the A and B antibodies in it's plasma.
The second most important classification after the A,B,O blood group system is the Rhesus blood group system, with over 50 antigens.
One of these Rh antigens is the Rh D antigen, the presence of which determines a Rh positive bloodtype and the absence of which determines a Rh negative bloodtype.
The 8 most common bloodtypes are as follows : A+, A-, B+, B-, O+, O-, AB+, AB-.
RhNull blood on the other hand has none of the Rh antigens. It is the result of certain mutations.
It is extremely rare, with fewer than 50 individuals known to have RhNull blood in the 50 years after it's discovery, and only 9 active donors.
I associated it with Antari based on this quote:
"He was, after all, Antari. And Antari could speak to blood. To life. To magic itself. The first and final element, the one that lived in all and was of none."
RhNull blood can be donated to anybody, especially useful to people with rare Rh antigens, following only the A,B,O blood group system donation rules and that's why the term Golden Blood is used for it. On the other hand, people with this blood type cannot receive transfusions from anybody but other people with the RhNull bloodtype, following the same donation rules.
Magic is not hereditary, so I like to assume that after developing Antari magic they lose the Rh antigens through mutation.
And since I couldn't help myself, I assigned every character I kept track of, a bloodtype.
Most of the bloodtypes I assigned were based on my own interpretrations, but I did my best to mind the rules by which they are inherited.

Note
In Germanic and I believe Scandinavian languages the letter J is said as a Y so "Junker" is Yuhn-ker and "Bjorn" is B-yern/yorn and so on. So I always read Ojka as Oy-kah. . .
Thank you! I know just little enough of multiple languages that I sent myself in the wrong direction.
There you have it ❤️

some scattered disability and White London thoughts:
Schwab missed a hundred thousand opportunities for disability rep; this is a bleak, apocalyptic landscape where one of the prevalent currencies is blood, and both children and adults are frequently attacked for their power.
Sign language. Look. Most magicians need to speak to focus their power, though Schwab makes clear it's more a way to keep up concentration than a necessity (take Lila's tiger, tiger, burning bright. So I wanna see that taken to its logical conclusion: tongues removed because many. many people think they! are the source of power, or at least where immense magic will nest.
Therefore: A thriving culture of sign language, where everyone is at least semi-fluent.
Holland, watching Talya's hands trace the old stories in gorgeous, fluid arcs with her hands as her face takes on a million expressions. Later, finishing them beneath the blankets, fingers tracing words intohis skin in the dark.
Holland stands out as much because his Antariness has allowed him to avoid disability as for the power itself.
Way the fuck more prosthetics particularly prosthetic hands considering how so many people carve element-control runes directly on their skin. Take away your hands, and some enemies would think they could take away your ability to fight.
Lethally sharp hooks for hands, with the runes carved directly into the metal and the most ruthless fighters absolutely willing ready and able to gouge out your eyes with their prosthetics.
Consequently: prosthetic care. Eventually, you have to take your hand/hands off; moisturize the stumps etc. Who you choose to be that vulnerable with says a thousand things about your character. (and the moments when you don't particularly *choose* it but you need to anyway because you've had it on too long and the skin is blistering; infection in Makt would be deadly.
The irritations of amputations. I know from some other characters I've researched for: things like washing your hair with only one functioning hand: an absolute bitch.
Anemia. In AGOS, part of what Ojka says Osaron's powers does is "warm her blood". Everyone in that city must be A. constantly cold; and not cold like a coat can fix. Cold from poor circulation and generally "weak" blood. People who have an affinity with bone magic (Athos, Vortalis, Holland himself) would have a significant advantage because everyone else is moving just slightly sluggishly, always dragging at the weight of exhaustion. It's part of what would make Talya's dancing so fucking _impressive, that she moves like that even despite the headaches, dizziness, etc.
Holland as Antari: essentially a fucking human heated blanket to anyone who isn't afraid to be so close to y'know the extremely dangerous magician.
God, there's so. so much more, but my brain is swiss cheese. But I at least wanted to start the ball rolling, because I feel like this's a corner of fandom that's just _bursting with possibilities.

It is interesting the ways in which King Holland/Knight Ojka seems to intentionally mimic King Vortalis/Knight Holland.
Holland comes in and claims the throne, determined to make Makt better. He even makes himself a new Antari to serve as a knight, someone whose loyalty is absolute. Someone who is a hardened survivor with complete faith in the new king.
Of course there are notable differences. Holland has a manipulative Osaron in his head, for starters. While Ojka is definitely devoted, she also views him as Makt's savior before anything else, meaning any kind of relationship is going to be imbalanced.
