I think what people don't really get is that the 'X' factor - the human crucible of artistic being - is singularly unique to every person, and that is the whole point. We only have a catalogue of art in human history to draw on - to create algorithms to simulate - because of that crucible. The rejection of this is the same perverse ideology which incentivises the constant remaking and emulation of classics without understanding those classics exist because of having actual pure artistic intentions, not mere desire of recreation.

But then that's kind of human because being yourself is really hard. A lot of people don't want to do that. They want to be someone else and they're encouraged to do that, too.
