Story:

I was born in south America while in november 12th "2015" I woke up gently not to cry as a baby, i learned how to walk, eat and have fun and now in july 25th "2023..(Grown up)" I was now ready to explore france, My parents were really old on July 25 2023. beloved my beloved in breve la lore di mazzara del vallo è il racconto di come Lorenzo Urciullo e Antonio Di Martino si sono conosciuti, il tutto recuperato da varie interviste (e io sono stato benedetto da un'ottima memoria che mi fa prendere alti voti con 10 ore di studio); a lei la breve lista di cosa è successo (fatta, appunto, a memoria)

- quando si sono conosciuti Lorenzo apriva il concerto di Antonio e, a Lollo, Dima stava parecchio sul cazzo (allegedly, ma ci arriviamo dopo), le motivazioni accreditate per quell'odio sono:

Antonio aveva un disco all'attivo e si era già montato la testa

Antonio era una 'spocchia' / 'antipatico' / ecc

Antonio faceva il finto intellettuale

- Durante un intervista, mentre Lollo iniziava a raccontare questa cosa, Antonio ha detto "ma va, ma non è vero"; ci stanno perculando da undici anni a questa parte? Non ne dubiterei nemmeno un istante

- Nessuno, fino ad oggi, ha mai capito quale fosse la prima impressione di Antonio su Lollo, finalmente abbiamo ricevuto una risposta non-risposta che cito perché sono fresco di ascolto: "Lorenzo io non te lo dirò mai quello che ho pensato di te, perché ci rimarresti molto male". - A spettacolo finito, per qualche motivo non ancora dischiuso al popolo, si sono ubriacati insieme (avevano fatto pace? chissà)

- Ubriachi, sono andati a suonare per le vie di Mazzara del Vallo "Ma la notte", qui il reperto storico; hanno fatto casino per le strade (abbastanza da beccarsi una secchiata d'acqua) e si sono addirittura persi

- Lorenzo afferma di non ricordarsi quello che è successo dopo aver suonato a causa dell'alcol; Antonio anche qui in piena omertà non ha mai rilasciato dichiarazioni sugli avvenimenti

TOKYO MEW MEW REWATCH - EPISODIO 17

Ah, e finalmente le nostre eroine vengono a conoscenza della backstory degli alieni. E di conseguenza con un bel dilemmino morale.

Ryou è quasi disturbante in questa scena.

Purin è la prima che nota che se sono tutti originari dello stesso pianeta, allora il termine 'alieni' è sbagliato, individuando una comunanza; Retasu concorda subito. Zakuro è la più esplicita, mettendosi nei panni dei nemici e, pur non giustificandoli, comprendendo perfettamente quali siano le loro motivazioni. Ichigo è spiazzata dal tentativo dell'altra di empatizzare, ma è visibilmente turbata anche lei.

E poi c'è Ryou, che dice alle ragazze di dimenticare quello che hanno visto, perché resta il punto che quelli stanno cercando di sterminarli tutti. Retasu fa la cosa logica, chiede se una volta comprese le loro motivazioni non si possa trovare un punto d'incontro, ma lui la mette a tacere subito con un vago 'se fosse stato possibile non avremmo avuto bisogno di difenderci'.

Ora, vero che gli alieni sono partiti con l'offensiva pesante, ma vero anche che Ryou non ha neanche provato a trovare una soluzione alternativa al progetto Mew, i suoi futuri flashback ci mostreranno che ci lavoravano già i suoi genitori. Che lui vuole vendicare. Quindi in parte è una visione concreta della realtà dei fatti, un nemico che non ha proposto trattative; dall'altra c'è un bel bias da parte sua.

Che belle le situazioni complesse e ambigue, e che bello trovarne in un anime tecnicamente per ragazzine!

Minto, Retasu e Purin sono tipo le comari di paese.

Ma quella che rivista sarebbe di preciso?!

- Mi sembra un piano molto semplicistico.

- E fanne uno tu la prossima volta!

Ovviamente Kisshu non poteva essere che un propositore del metodo KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid)!

- Dovevo avere l'influenza proprio oggi, vhe dovevo uscire con Masaya ...

Preparati fanciulla, nella vita è sempre così. La prossima volta pioverà.

Pai che stabilisce la composizione chimica di jn fiume semplicemente cacciandoci una mano dentro. Cosa non darei per un po' di lore coerente riguardo agli alieni ...

Bisognava immortalarla: una delle rare occasioni in cui invece di mantenere il perfetto aplomb mentre Ichigo si imbarazza, Masaya assume lo stesso colore del di lei copriletto!

i have the greatest urge to ramble abt hydra mythos lore at 1am and i realize that tumblr is like. the incoherent rambling website so fuck it. idk if any of this will make sense thats a problem for tomorrow.

Anyways i find it really funny to talk abt random minor details instead of the main cast so time for Oggies

Oggies (Aug-Chips) are a step up from typical identification and credit cards and stuff. All of your identifying information is stored on a handy chip that can either be inserted into an external scannable card or directly into ones wrist. Oggies become somewhat mandatory in the age of the Antisingularity and take the place of traditional identification. Technically your Oggie contains your "main" wallet and you're legally free to have secondary wallets but like it's socially seen as really shady :(

Along with identification, security and purchases, embedded Oggies can be used to register, track, and integrate other mechanical implants. From the 2060s to the late 2090s Oggie-powered implants and prosthetics quickly grew from an innovative luxury to the norm, as more and more people picked embedded Oggies over external card ones. Now, most implants have mandatory embed Oggie requirements- which totally definitely isn't a push by the Antisingularity to track the type of embeds and transhuman modifications people are getting no sir ee.

Hermann is an Antisingularity Agent who's got an Oggie, but he keeps it in an external card. Which isn't too much of an oddity but external Oggies are seen by the youth as archaic and inferior. Like showing a child a rotary phone. An external Oggie also makes finding a suitable replacement for his missing hand difficult; he dislikes invasive cybernetic implants, and most minimally-invasive prosthetics require an embedded Oggie to track movement and monitor device health. As he's part of the folks trying to stifle computer development, he's not a huge fan of embeds.

There's a black market of removing and swapping Oggies- not a surprise, given the blatant tracking involved with each Oggie. In the case of embed Oggies, this involves surgical procedures to physically alter the Oggie. These almost always cause small scarring or disfigurement to where the Oggie is located, which is a tell that legal officers tend to look for. Gloves and wrist accessories such as watches are very common- both for those with hacked Oggies and edgy youngsters who think that it makes them look like a hardened gangster. Noninvasive/Contactless Oggie editing or disabling is a newer and experimental practice, used to attempt to distort or shut down an Oggie without leaving a scar. This also opens up an avenue for stealing Oggie information from unknowing passersby and/or remotely hijacking Oggies but that probably won't become relevant.

In Biblioteca puoi scoprire autori e opere che non conoscevi o di cui avevi sentito parlare ma che ancora non avevi avuto modo di leggere. Ed è per questo che abbiamo deciso di dedicare un angolo alla scoperta di questi "tesori nascosti".

Oggi l'opera prescelta è " Le superstizioni degli abruzzesi " di Emiliano Giancristofaro.

L’etimologia del termine “folklore” deriva dall'unione di due parole di antica origine sassone : “folk” popolo e “lore” sapere, sapere del popolo. Lo studio e l’interpretazione delle tradizioni popolari in Abruzzo sono iniziati ad opera di studiosi che ne avevano intuito l’importanza molto tempo prima della famosa definizione del folklore da parte di Gramsci: “non una bizzarria, una stranezza, una cosa ridicola ma una cosa molto seria”. Uno dei padri delle tradizioni popolari si deve ritenere il medico siciliano Giuseppe Pitrè che iniziò il lavoro di raccolta, studio ed interpretazione del folclore con la creazione della Biblioteca delle tradizioni popolari siciliane. Egli uscì dai confini della sua isola per relazionarsi con altri studiosi tra cui l’eminente antropologo Gennaro Finamore che per primo sistemò organicamente la cultura popolare abruzzese; anch'egli medico, proprio dall'esercizio della sua professione ebbe il primo impulso a raccogliere i documenti della vita popolare della nostra regione. Suo contemporaneo e altro studioso del folclore abruzzese fu Antonio De Nino che si dedicò agli studi demiologici e linguistici contenuti nella sua raccolta “Tradizioni popolari abruzzesi” che fu definita 'letteraria' in contrapposizione a quella a carattere invece 'scientifico' di Finamore.

Dalle ricerche e dagli studi compiuti da questi padri del folklore e delle tradizioni popolari è venuta alla luce tutta una serie di documenti riguardanti i riti magici, le superstizioni e le terapie naturali dei tempi passati. Tante erano le pratiche attuate allo scopo di scongiurare gli eventi e tutelarli da ogni soprannaturale influsso negativo. Tali condotte riguardavano tutti gli aspetti e le tappe della vita umana secondo un ritmo cadenzato del tempo: la nascita, il fidanzamento, il matrimonio, la morte.

Ma in questo saggio Emiliano Giancristofaro si interroga nello specifico sul concetto stesso e sulle origini della superstizione e nonché sulle sua caratteristiche. Al di là della derivazione etimologica del termine "superstitio", sopravvivenza, con cui il Cristianesimo indicava il residuo del paganesimo, il ricorso alla superstizione si configura come un meccanismo rassicurante in epoche attraversate da malessere e disagio. Non si tratta dunque di amenità o mere curiosità circoscrivibili all'area regionale o meridionale: esse “circolano” ovunque e le loro forme locali assumono maggiore significato proprio nel confronto con quelle delle altre zone culturali, nazionali ed europee.

In questo volume, pertanto, l’autore ha ricostruito le superstizioni più diffuse tra gli abruzzesi, in una breve elencazione che toccherà i temi più comuni del mondo magico, dal malocchio (o l’invidia) che detiene il primato, ai rimedi magici tradizionali ancora attivi, agli amuleti, alle credenze sui sogni e sugli animali, sul sale e sull'olio versati, sul pane, sulla luna, su fantasmi e personaggi portatori di poteri magici, su oggetti e cerimoniali contro gli influssi stregoneschi.

Emiliano Giancristofaro (1938–2022) è stato un etnologo e saggista italiano, studioso del folklore abruzzese. Negli anni sessanta fu tra i fondatori della prima sezione abruzzese di Italia Nostra (di cui divenne presidente regionale dal 1994 al 2003). Assieme a Beniamino Rosati e altri intellettuali locali, condusse l'opposizione popolare all'insediamento dell'industria petrolchimica in Val di Sangro e la battaglia per la salvaguardia dell’Abbazia di San Giovanni in Venere. Dal 1963 al 2000 ha diretto la Rivista Abruzzese, fondata nel 1948 da Francesco Verlengia, con scopo di valorizzare con la ricerca gli studi abruzzesi. Tra il 1972 e il 1994 è stato anche direttore editoriale della casa editrice Rocco Carabba, della cui rinascita era stato promotore. Ha curato, con Ireneo Bellotta, gli “Scritti rari” di Alfonso Maria Di Nola, usciti in due volumi per la collana «Quaderni di Rivista Abruzzese» (Lanciano 2000-2004). Nel 1972 ha diretto l'emittente TV locale Telemax. Nel 2005, assieme a Sergio Marchionne (Fiat) e Renato Rossi (Sixty), ha ottenuto il riconoscimento speciale di "Fedeltà al Lavoro e al Progresso" dalla Camera di Commercio di Chieti. È stato Deputato di Storia Patria negli Abruzzi a L'Aquila, sostituendo il lancianese Corrado Marciani (1899-1972). Dagli anni ottanta fino ai primi 2000 ha realizzato diverse puntate del rotocalco "Le storie del silenzio", per l'emittente TVQ di Pescara, in cui presentava varie inchieste sulle varie tradizioni popolari abruzzesi, con interviste e riprese dei riti sacri. Inoltre Giancristofaro registrò anche dei cd con delle canzoni popolari di contadine e racconti, il tutto estrapolato dai nastri delle inchieste del "Mangiafavole", per conto della sede Rai di Pescara. Tutto il materiale è stato consegnato dallo stesso Giancristofaro alla biblioteca comunale di Lanciano. Risiedeva a Lanciano, nella casa di via Fagiani, sede della redazione della Rivista Abruzzese, la cui gestione, dal 1994, è passata nelle mani dei figli Enrico e Lia. È morto il 15 giugno 2022 nell'ospedale di Lanciano, all'età di 84 anni.

Fright night 2 (1988)-

So fright night 2 is great y’all are just mean. >:(.

Honestly it is a different kind of movie then what the first film was. It seams to go faster and almost all over the place. But it does succeed in being a good time and a fun story. Let’s get my nit picks and problems out of the way first

Charley is kind of wishy washy? Like one minute therapy makes him completely no longer believe. Then he does. Then he doesn’t then he does then he doesn’t. The charley Brewster I know would not be so easily doped by there being no marks.

They change the lore a bit? With Ed and Amy the transformation into a vampire was sort of instantaneous. They were bit and left alone for a few hours and could fully vamp out, now in the second it’s saying the “have to drink blood rule” I can’t speak for Ed but I know Amy definitely didn’t.

Peter Vincent is also a bit all over the place. Unlike charely he is completely firm in his belief the whole movie. However his logic seams to have left him entirely. I adore him being more spunky and excited as he can flock around claiming to kill a actual vampire etc but to peter’s credit I don’t think he’d rave like a mad man about them actually existing in the way he does in the movie

No evil Ed. That’s it. That’s the criticism. The last movie left open the perfect spot for him to make a comeback and he doesn’t. Smh

When the fuck- I read Dracula and when the ever living hell is roses a thing against werewolves or vampires? (Placing a rose on a coffin maybe but????)

Now to the good stuff -

Gays going to brunch

Honestly I kinda like the idea of “Jerry’s sister is pissed now your going to have to deal with her” also the “he was so young he was only 1,000” thing dhsksksksk. Also the ultimate revenge is making Charley immortal which props 👌 he’ll be a tragic louis type. However.... he’d also be there to annoy you forever, bad choice. I also refuse to believe anyone would replace a classic horror host with a weird ass interpretive dance.

Bowling-

I’m serious that becomes a theme in this movie it’s such a fucking random joke that happens twice and it’s just great lmao. 1st time charley looks very Risky business . The second time Belle, Bozworth and Louie take it over and honestly watching them do everything but bowl correctly is peak humor.

Influence-

This movie came out in 1988 and I can’t help but feel it was very heavily influenced by The lost boys and near dark that came out the year before.

Charley’s whole “what’s happening to me deal?” And the sunglasses , very Michael

Louie doing the blood from the vein into the mug thing from fright night.

Etc , idk if this is just my brain assuming as those two and. The og fright nigh5 are some of my favorite movies

I have two questions however

- is Louie a werewolf or does he just partically like to do the wolf thing- I’m assuming the second is the case?

-Is Belle trans or just a drag queen? I can’t tell with her, doesn’t help with no lines either. I’m sure this info is somewhere

Alex is great, so is the guy from the hospital

I adore the whole thing with the therapist too

While Billy cole and Bozworth share the same position I do NOT think they are the same thing. Billy was definitely not oggie boogie style
