Tribbleations - Odo/Quark

A/N: Day 19 for @trektober-challenge for the Trek bit.

“QUARK!” Quark’s sigh is quiet even as he stacks six more tribbles into the cage, locking it before answering Odo’s call back to the bar. “Odo?” “Why are there…” “I have no idea.” Quark mutters, stacking the new arrivals before looking at Odo. “Ask Sisko?” “I shall.” Quark smiles just slightly, boxing up more tribbles to take back to the cages. He’ll find some way to rehome the little fluffballs, one day. For now as long as he has cages he’ll be fine, he hopes. All he needs now is to work out how to stop them reproducing.  Later, Odo comes back, apologizes in his usual gruff way and nearly sits on a tribble, Quark moving swiftly to grab the creature, making excuses to put it in a cage and hide his amusement. He might not always understand Odo, but he does like him.
