Some behind the scenes of my Megatron doll

My friend helped me with sculpting and parting the head, we did a nendoriod style mechanic so they can use more 3rd party nendoriod parts I.g neck joints. Then I went to a print shop to printed out Megatron’s head then sand and did a test fit with an obitsu 24 body in super white.

After test fitting I move on to paint them, and made their optic (eyes). Painting with airbrush is always fun but I don’t misss cleaning the damn thing. For the face I kinda got the inspiration from Hotarumaru.

Anyways here is Megatron, I really love this size I really wanna print out more face plates so I can give them different expressions

(Megatron’s pronounce here are they/theirs, I just have an headcannon of Megatron being gender ambiguous)

Poppy Time in Puerto Rico!

Hello all! I'm on vacation in Puerto Rico with my beloved custom Obitsu doll, Poppy. We're currently staying up near El Yunque, Puerto Rico's famous rainforest. They weren't kidding about the rain, Poppy donned her raincoat as soon as she could because it could be sunny one minute and pouring the next!

Speaking of, did you know that a hugely important symbol of Puerto Rico is a tree frog called the coquí? As soon as Poppy found that out, she insisted on climbing up a tree to try and find one and see if it matched her raincoat. (Yes, she's ACTUALLY about 4 or 5 feet off the ground here and standing unsupported. Harrowing!)

No tree frogs, but we did spot some other creatures...like this Pseudosphinx tetrio caterpillar!

And some lizards, though we really had to sneak up on them to get a picture!

...And the shells of some Puerto Rican tree SNAILS, which Poppy deemed close enough to be excited about.

Phew! Lots of exploring. Time for a sit before we head back to the villa we're staying at.

I've thought about buying the BifBangPow Billy Mego doll and taking it apart . Then I could reassemble it on one of these 14 cm/4 in Nendoroid bodies so he'd be closer to the right scale.

But I don't want to ruin a mint-in-box toy (or pay for it) and I've never seen a loose Billy toy on Ebay.

So I guess I have to sculpt my own head— either with clay or digitally + 3D print for the body and make my own clothes if I wanted to do this.
